The Brides Of Lost Creek

A Bride For Corwin Hankins: The Brides Of Lost Creek

Rate this book
For a fleeting moment, everything about Alene’s life felt perfect. Then no more than a few days into her marriage, everything seems to fall apart all at once. Her husband isn’t who he said he was, and now he’s left her all alone in a strange place. She might be guilty of helping him commit a crime, and she’s not even sure they were ever really married at all. Events are spiraling far, far out of her control and there’s nothing she can do about it.

Corwin Hankins is the sort of roll-up-your-sleeves man that everybody in town can’t help but respect and admire. It’s his can-do attitude that brought him to the role of Mayor in the first place. But being Mayor can be a lonely business, and he longs to have a wife. At last he is going to be picking up his bride-to-be from the station, but when he finally meets her she is lost, confused, frightened and distant. He knows she just went through a terrible ordeal, but if he didn’t know better, he might think she wasn’t the same woman at all…

Can our two heroes find love with each other? Can they find themselves? Were they ever meant to be together at all? Join them as they navigate the idyllic streets of Lost Creek, and the complicated paths to each others’ hearts.

All books in the Brides of Lost Creek series are stand-alone stories and can be read in any order, however characters will reappear from story to story, and as you read more their adventures will become more complete.

Duncan, Irene and Celine

This is a short, sweet mail order bride tale, written by Rosie May Garrett. She has done a great job with the plot and the characters. Irene was let go from her job at an orphanage due to lack of fund. Celine’s mother died at her birth and was now ten years old with some of the household responsibilities of and adult. Her father was a rancher and did not want another wife. You will enjoy discovering how Duncan and Irene find their happily ever after.

Fascinating

What a terrifying, deceitful way to start a marriage. Arlene's life is terrifyingly shattered by a train ride rescued from uncertainty before reality sets in. It was nice to read about good people trying to right life's wrongs.
