With heavy iron gates, two security stations, and a groundskeeper's cottage, The Cove has everything a billionaire could ask for in a home. But, as the residents soon find out, they can't hide from love.
Secrets, Fireworks, and her Billionaire Boyfriend Sayler Davenport lives to work. When her boss, Liam Summers, goes on his honeymoon and forces Sayler to take a six-week vacation, she finds herself out of her element trying to relax. Billionaire Brooks Morgan is a resident in The Cove, and most definitely not a thief, but he has secrets that can’t be shared with anyone; especially not while his company has received worldwide negative attention.
He wants to make a good impression by throwing the biggest party The Cove has seen to date. In danger of losing his company and his heart, he sets out to win Sayler over and to improve his PR situation. Loved it! Sayler and Brooks were great together. Each of them were confident and descent people and they brought out the best in the other. I liked how they became friends first and things progressed naturally from there. Of course there was bound to be some drama in the whole plot (this is how books work :) but it all resolved logically and satisfyingly for me. And I was intrigued by Sayler's boss Liam - so I made a deviation in my BBC marathon to read his story. Narrative: 3rd person following Sayler and Brooks Religion: none Sensuality: squeaky clean
Finally a romance with mature individuals who are not just raging hormones. I enjoyed this book so much that it was hard to put it down. There were a few grammatical errors and misspellings.
The writing was annoying. The author kept repeating things like I would not be able to remember something that was just stated in a previous chapter. Or paragraph, even. The story itself wasn’t too bad.
I loved how Saylor & Brooks got together and they're fun adventures together and even their little rough patch was so normal and natural in building the relationship it was a fun fun story to read
Sayler is your typical workaholic who has a hard time vacationing. Brooks gives her something to do and they are adorable, until Sayler falls for the stupid ploy. The fixing took too long. I loved the ending though!
I really felt the connection between Sayler and Brooks. From the beginning they went together like a matched set. This was filled with lots of sweet moments that makes your heart sigh. It’s crazy that Sayler felt like a forced 6 week vacation was a punishment but it’s true some people are just like that! Best part of the story was the Seattle Battle! What really is the best things to do and places to go. I love the rating scale! I really liked Brooks’ character best. Even when he was going thru a lot with work problems he didn’t let it overwhelm him and he still made time off for a personal life. And then when there is the climactic event that is threatening to keep them apart, Brooks doesn’t hesitate to act and takes great lengths to make things right. So just a fun enjoyable book that made me really want to explore Seattle with my husband! 4.5 stars Rating: PG, clean, negative effects of alcohol mentioned.
To be honest, I had kind of wandered away from this series because the quality of the stories seemed to be declining. This one caught my eye, though, so I decided to give it a try - and I'm so glad that I did.
I loved Sayler - she's such an impressive woman. Honestly, I thought she was going to save the day for Brooks with her amazing super powers of efficiency, & I would have been ok with that, but I liked the way it was handled where both of the main characters were respectful as well as considerate of each other.
While the real life probability of it all might be low, the plot conflict was reasonably believable, and the way everything transpired up to the resolution was also. There was nothing that jarred me from the story, and I was able to just sit back and enjoy the fun diversion.
The epilogue is so romantic and fun that I still have a goofy grin on my face just thinking about it!

I just finished reading Secrets, Fireworks, and her Billionaire Boyfriend by Chelsea Hale and y'all--it was so good! The main characters, Sayler and Brooks, were super interesting and likable and the way they met was hilarious! There was lots of banter and friendly smack talk as they participated in their Seattle Battle to determine the best of Seattle. It made me want to call up my travel agent and make plans for a visit to that city! The book held my attention all the way through and it was an enjoyable read so I highly recommend it!
I loved the beginning of this book. Sayler is an amazingly gifted and talented character. Everything about her is excellent. Her meeting with Brooks was funny. Their beginning made for interesting reading. Then, it sort of lost momentum, for me. Still a good story, just not as good as the beginning led me to expect.
