Breeze is made an offer he can’t refuse. A three million dollar yacht is his for the taking, but there are strings attached. He’s sent to Panama to repossess the vessel from its current captain, who becomes an unlikely ally during a mission to Colombia. He desperately wants to get home to Florida, but the return trip is fraught with problems and complicated by the uneasy relationship with his passenger. Any attempt to come to terms with the loss of his lover must wait for the completion of the journey. A new life awaits if he can stay alive long enough to realize it.
Ed has brought Breeze out of the woods and reinstalled him on a boat in southwest Florida, thankfully! The boat is a bit out of character for the former boat bum but, we'll see how that works out.
I might forgive you for killing off Brody and Red sometime, maybe. Its goid to be back in familiar territory. I roamed from Cape Coral to Punta Birds and Port Charlotte and Harbor Heights. I owned property in alk those places starting back in the mid 80's. In horse country, Belleview, now. Keep em coming, ill keep reading! Billyrob Robinson
Waty to much setting up this series. I was disappointed in the story. This ook needed the action that the lead in said was going to happen. I will read the next in the series. I hope it improves over the first edition
I liked Breeze until he chooses the boat and his former boss, after his life falls apart. He is conflicted with his new circumstances and struggles. Is he rationalizing his situation? I don't know. I will read the next book.
Never ending saga of live, happiness, and adventure. Around every corner is what's next, one never knows what awaits, but be sure it will you reading. Onward and upward thru the fog. Rock on
Enough action to keep me interested but no super human nonsense. Couple of things that bothered me- leaving Panama and wishing for weather report? Where is his SSB? A multi million Hatteras without one? I think not. Why didn't he have Breeze buy a RIB? Makes more sense than an 18 ft. flats boat- easy to put onto davits or tow, fast and soft sided, won't damage hull, best option. Other's that, pretty entertaining read. (From an ex liveaboard boat bum.)
Maybe Ed's best book to date. I love them all but this one just flowed from the great intro into the new life by bringing back the closing chapter of his Mountain series - it was emotional at a level that we can all understand and just know this leads us to even more "best one yet" books from this incredible author!
Just great to have Breeze back in Southwest Florida were he belongs!! Terrific tale with all the normal Breeze adventures and local.color. Can't wait for more stories!
I lost interest in this series since it started to be recycled over and over again but am happy it has returned to what made this series good but with some new twists
The story is hard to follow at times, but anyone who g Ha
The story seems to go off track at times, but anyone who has spent time in Florida's West Coast will feel.right at home with reference to familiar grounds.
