Ok, I’m a sucker for a pregnancy romance, and Terrance and Rose did not disappoint. I wasn’t really into Rose’s pity party in the beginning and was hoping the story would quickly move on,, well it might have taken a little longer than I wanted, yet once Rose moved on and got her act in gear, the story progressed rapidly
Terrance and Rose had a rocky start, but her dry humor eventually won Terrance over and slowly their relationship developed. While Rose blossomed under Terrance until she encountered a messy situation, true love over fame all and they found their path back to each other
Terrance and Rose came together a bit unconventionally yet it worked for them until some privileged men took what Terrance said previously out of gladness of having her in his life to a place his comment was never meant to go thereby hurting Rose who already felt out of place among so many wealthy and privileged individuals. Rose hearing what was said left the gathering in tears and although she heard Terrance out when he came to check on her, she essentially ended the relationship that had begun to blossom between them. As things sometimes happen, soon after Rose found herself with child -Terrance's child. She went to tell Terrance about her pregnancy, accepted that he would not let her go through the pregnancy alone, listened when he explained what was actually said, gained her trust of Terrance back and the two gave their relationship another chance culminating in the birth of their daughter and a proposal of marriage from Terrance to Rose. I enjoyed this story it was very touching especially when one noted the parts of Rose and Terrance's upbringing that was similar. A really great story!!!!!
I started not to begin this new series. I have read all of the Brothers from Money series and the Members from Money series, Season I. as well as some others. But I took the plunge and I'm glad I did. It was an interesting, satisfying story. I liked the characters and the style of writing held my interest. I hope the following books are just as inviting. I look forward to the next book in the series.
Rose was looking for a job and ending up working for a cleaning service. Rose is sent to clean for Terrance and over time they really hit it off. Things progress along and they are in a relationship where some things get twisted communication-wise. I enjoyed how the story flowed and character interaction.
I enjoyed the romance of Terrance and Rose. They connected as two people in love irrespective of their differences of age, race or financial status. I enjoyed their journey and look forward to more books about the members of the Sunrise Club or Tycoons From Money series by Monica J. Charles.
I gave it 5 stars it was nice that Terrance did see Rose as a maid but as someone he could be with,, her sister Lily was kind of annoying her and her partners was so well put together
Terrance and Rose Was a very nice story. Rose is a young lady trying to find her way in the world unemployed looking for work. Terrance is a billionaire who is not what seems. These two are attracted to each other and things take off from there very nice book.
This was a good read I enjoyed everything about the story the way they met how they became lovers and they stories of how they overcame all the hard times in they life very enjoyable
What a great story to make a series. You can't help but enjoy the characters they are wonderful emotional and enjoyable. I'm very excited to read the next book in this series.
Honestly dont know if its actually good - i couldnt finish it
The female lead Rose starts off being unlikeable in my eyes. Why is she so upset mad at her sister for starting a family and moving on. She makes a comment like Blood is thicker than water yeah right, like family is obligated to stick together. Iono that rubbed be the wrong way. Then Rose is jobless and apparently has been for weeks and needs money, but theres no indication that shes been looking for a job and just not being able to land one. And then when she finally applies to one, it takes her ALL NIGHT? And shes so nervous, she worries about it that whole night. If she was as desperate for a job as she was making it seem, i feel like she would have applied to more places. But i digress. The company she ends up applying to is EverClean cleaning company and the process for getting a job is so quick and easy and simple for no reason. They apparently dont do interviews at all, you just fill out a questionnaire and they'll hire you with no experience basically. But theres no reason provided for the rush. Rose gets the job the morning after she applies but she still has to wait for someone to choose her as their maid from the site, so she doesnt start immediately. So why not write it as a normal job where she interviews and has to wait a few days or a week, then shes hired and the client she gets is still randomized. Iono it just didnt make sense. Then she meets the male lead, rich guy Terrance who is so rich but doesnt have ANY servants in his huge house (hence the need for a maid) but also doesnt have anyone too cook but he still buys food just to do nothing with it and for it to go bad. And he falls for her LOOKS immediately and requests her to be his permanent maid and the next time she shows up, HE is playing footsie with her under a table and SHE starts randomly sucking on his hand and fingers -like wth? Im not saying thats not a kink for someone and more power to you. But the whole thing just comes out of no where. Not to mention he basically admits to saying they just going to fool around because she comes to clean his house anyway so no one has to know about her - like hes already admitting hes going to be keeping her a secret. Who enjoys being a secret? Dunno. I cut out after the older man initiated footsie and girl sucking fingers because old dude was ripping up sandwich bread scene. This is actually the 2nd book Ive tried by this author - I just recently put down the 1st book I tried because I couldnt get past the 1st chapter of the female lead (i believe the book is Hei Quan Cultural Differences). So far 0-2 on this author (at least this specific series of hers. Luckily im on a FREE trial of KU so I didnt have to waste any of my money. It gets 2 stars instead of 1 because I gave it an extra star as an apology for not being able to finish it (it might be good, but if it is, its taking a long time to set up a good story and Im not willing to wait). So sorry, Book.
OMG! So disappointed in this novel. I basically bought the whole series and just today started reading it today. I didn't like that Rose had been drifting aimlessly through life...felt the instant attraction and raunchy was too unbelievable and a turn off. Had to skip over the sex scenes also as I found them a lil too trashy for my taste and was just over all bored. I should have started reading the series shortly after purchasing the first few. I'm going to start reading the 2nd one right after this review to see if it is as much of a let down as the first. 😐
What a way to meet your life partner. Rose didn't appear to have a clear life path. She didn't know what her goals were, so she signed up to become a maid. Her first assignment brought her to Terrance.
Terrance was rich and interested they started a relationship...
Some of us are raised in the lap of luxury. Some of us rarely get a hug or sit on the lap of a loved one. Some of us know love on a daily basis while love eludes the rest of us. For those who find love, please grab it hand hold on tight. Rose and Terrance found one another and let go. I am so glad that Daisy brought them back together.
Rose is a vibrant young woman looking to better herself. She has a great personality and is quite witty/sarcastic. Terrance a powerful giving man. Their paths cross and both are smitten with one another. Through ups and downs, they manage to get were they belong, with each other. Great read
I've had this book for a while, I truly forgotten what it was about. I was blessed and somehow had another book which lead me back to this one. So I researched it and started reading it. Really did enjoy this, it's a good story. Would definitely recommend it.
There's a sadness when you think what your life used to be and how through it all you're finally able to get a helping hand and make it to the top and your life better in doing so. But of course you never forgot how you got there and is always trying to help out where you can. Not because you want praise or anything in return but because it's the right thing to do and you know how it felt to come from nothing and have nothing. But that didn't stop you from becoming something. And that was Terrance. Then there's Rose who wants to make a better life for herself and needed a job badly so she could be able to help out her BFF with their rent and also in the meanwhile trying to decide what to do with her life if she ever gets the chance to go to college especially since her sister had her own life and couldn't take care of her anymore. And their father who raised them was no longer alive. She gets a cleaning job and a mix up causes her to meet Terrance and what a nice surprise that turns out to be for both of them or so they think! I really enjoyed this book now on to read about his brother thanks for sharing!
Having been out of work for months Rose Lovejoy applies for a job as a maid, and she manages to land the job almost instantly without having any experience... her first client the reclusive billionaire Terrence Rivers! She can't believe she's going to work for him, but she's determined to do a good job, after she needs the good reviews.
Terrence and Rose spend time together, he's taken by her and wants more of her. Can he have more with her? Are their backgrounds too different, or maybe it's because they're too similar without realising it. Can she have him? What does he see in her?
Their relationship is put to the test when she finds out he's been talking about her, but is it all out context? And how will she tell him she's carrying his child?
This could have been better... it should've been better, but unfortunately for me it fell short. Well short. The characters seemed forced, they weren't natural and their relationship lacked chemistry, and the club was so pretentious... thankfully it was a short read so it didn't take long.
The hero and his brother grew up in foster care. Now they are rubbing elbows with the rich. The heroine was raised by her sister after their parents died. Rose was having a hard time figuring out what she wanted to do in life. She started college she stopped, she has been trying to figure out where her talents lie, what she is interested in. She realized she like to clean so for now she will become a house cleaner. Due to some mix-up with the app she is sent to clean for Terrance. Wonderful love story with a few bumps along the way.
This was my first time reading something from this author & im glad I did! I finished this book in one day & im happy I gave it a chance. It was worth it! I loved Terrance & Rose story! I can’t wait to read the second book in the series! I hope it as good as this one! Great job to the author!
Something about Rose still wanting to continue being a maid didn't sit well with me. Also the fact that she was so well accepted by the upper crust of society seemed unrealistic.
This story had potential but it was just okay. It took me awhile to get the through it. Terrance not Rose possessed a strong presence. This book wasn’t good enough for me want to read again in the future.
I gave this modern-day interracial love story a five star rating because it was incredibly written with two people that were made for one another, a real fairy tale romance. kudos
