Master Me, Please is definitely not your typical romance novel, and in this case, that's a wonderful thing.
Surgical scrub tech Krista Matthews gets a double blow of tragedy when her husband and Dom, Dr. Kurt Matthews, commits suicide after being diagnosed with ALS. He tries to entrust her well-being to his friend Dr. Dax Hayes, but Dax's guilt (over his feelings for his friend's wife and over getting Kurt the pills that let him kill himself) causes him to leave the country on a medical mission for over a year. When Dax returns to town, he tries to befriend Krista, but she's angry at him for leaving, and getting past her grief and his guilt may be an insurmountable task for the couple.
I've complained before about shallowness and superficiality in BDSM romances, and this book is the answer to that complaint. It's deep, emotional, and real. It's not just about romance and kinky sex, it's about healing and forgiveness and love.

Another amazing story by Ms. Wane! It's the second in the series, but a standalone. It's filled with loss, pain, angst, as well as, sexiness, tenderness, and a whole lot of great story!! I love all the characters, both the main ones, Dax and Krista, and all the ones I know we are going to get to read about in future books. I'm not giving spoilers, but Krista is totally likable and Dax is a Dom that sometimes you'd love to wring his neck. This is a great 5 star read! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I've read a few books from this author now and I'm consistently presented with a gook read with well drawn characters in an interesting storyline. This book is no exception. This is Book 2 in the series so we're still getting to know the characters slightly more than in the previous book. This book presents an interesting dilemma for Dax when he finds himself drawn to a widow that he is attracted to - against his own wishes. This book delivers not only an interesting read but also puts some ethical questions into what on the surface is just a romance. i really enjoyed it.

Well-written, original BDSM novel
BJ Wane has a wonderful way of developing believable characters and storylines. Krista and Dax's rocky relationship had so many facets to uncover. The story at times heartbreaking, just drew me in.
This was a great addition to the Miami Masters series and I look forward to the secondary characters' stories.

In the second entry in the Miami Masters series, we meet Dr. Dax Hayes, just back from a tour with Doctors without Borders, and Krista, the widow of the colleague who committed suicide rather than suffer through the agonizing death of ALS. Krista and her late husband/Master are also the reason Dax left town. Well, Dax is back and he's as attracted to Krista as he was before he left and Krista is both angry at him leaving when she needed him and as attracted as ever. The story continues with Dax agreeing to help her get back into the BDSM scene while agonizing over his desire to have her and her repeated hurts as she cannot understand the way he keeps pulling away from him. As usual, a happy ending ensues for all. We get to continue getting to know the rest of the "Miami Masters" in the book. Sandie and Zach are back, and the other 5 begin to develop individual personalities as well.

In book 2, we get Dax and Krista's story. Emotional and sometimes hard to read, there were times I really wanted to just smack Dax in the head. Of course, Krista needed to be shook also. When Krista's husband and Master dies, she is devastated. Serving her Master was her life. Dax had spent one night with Kurt and Krista before he passed away and was always in love with her so when Kurt passed away, he fled, taking a secret with him that could easily damaged his career as a heart surgeon. When he comes back after almost two years, his feelings for Krista are still there but she is upset that he left her floundering. These two stumbled around each for a lot of the book until Dax's secret is revealed by a jealous nurse who wants Dax for herself. Will Krista forgive him? And will Dax finally admit how he feels about Krista to himself and to her? It was gut wrenching watching these two fight their feelings for each other. I loved the story.

I am always excited when I see a new book by BJ Wane, and for it to be a new series, is especially exciting. The second book in the Miami Masters is completely different than book one, Bound and Saved. While this is a series and has many of the main characters from the first book, this will read as a stand-alone. The story is of Dr. Dax Hayes, his partner, Dr. Kurt Matthews, and Kurt’s submissive wife, Krista.
The plot will take the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride that is riddled with many twists and turns. With the unexpected diagnosis of ALS that leads to death for Kurt, will have his young widow, Krista, needing support from people she can trust. Knowing that Dax is also a Master, and able to understand the unique and sometimes sheltered lifestyle of D/s she is shattered when rather than being there for her, he avoids her after Kurt’s death and funeral and suddenly leaves for eighteen months with Doctors without Borders.
Krista is lost without her Master, without that support and control that she craved in her marriage. She has no one to really rely on except a friend at the hospital who is not into the BDSM lifestyle but supports her. The grief is overwhelming but she eventually will return to her job at the hospital, but not to the BDSM world that she misses.
Dax will return to Miami and his friends. When he is asked to assist with a problem at some of the BDSM clubs, he will happen upon Krista in a bad scene at the Dungeon. 3 adorable stars
I had a lot of troubles getting into this story and i believe that the majority of the reasons for it is because i didn't get a chance to read the first part of the series beforehand. In a way, i wish i had read it, but at the same time, i don't because i wish i could have connected with these characters from their collective loss after the death of one of their own.
Considering that this was a new author with an entire new style that i had to get used to, i'm not saying that i won't be picking up a book from BJ Wayne in the future, only that right now, i simply couldn't place myself in the story as one of the characters, so i found myself racing through the book rather than savour it.

Compelling, steamy, true life
What does a young married sub do when her husband and Master die? How does she move on after realizing the calm and satisfaction of that life? Krista doesn't know how to move forward after the one man her husband seemed to have selected for her anticipating his death leaves town. This story of how they try to each find peace touched me deeply. The characters are well written and jump off the page. The jumble of emotions and bdsm scenes rang true. I cried, laughed, hot all hot and needy. Great book, getting entire series.

Come Too Me
This is a very tear pulling story... I cried several times it was very emotion invoking. You sorta get two separate love stories for one submissive. Unfortunately the first one ends in death... and in someways is why the final love story happens as it does... this book spends some time on the yacht and at her canal side home and the hospital... its sorta Unfortunate they don't spend any time at his house... hope its near water too as I got the impression she found the water soothing. I wonder which will be the next of his 7 friends to fall. It is a good book.

Wow, this book is just incredible. Steamy and sexy but with a deep emotional depth. Krista and Dax's relationship is complex and complicated. Pain, guilt and regret add plenty of angst to this read. The passion and attraction between these two is intense, powerful and hot. Can these two overcome the past to embrace the future? Read this wonderful book to see if they get their HEA. I am posting a totally honest, voluntary review after reading this book.

I got this book in exchange for a voluntary review. Dr. Dax had always been jealous of his friend Dr. Kurt's relationship with his submissive and wife Krista. When Kurt develops ALS and asks Dax for a way to die, he gives him Ambien. Will Krista be able to handle the death of her master and husband ? Will Dax step up like he promised Kurt and take over as dom to Krista ?

Loving this series
Great series. No cliffhangers. Hurray! Each book seems to have the same general theme. Enlightening. But there is a conclusion to each book. Nothing is more annoying then to be left in a mid free fall. So "Thank you" B.J. Ware for allowing your readers to have stimulating experience that has climax to enjoy!

This is the second book in the Miami Master series and I have to say I fell in love with Krista and Dax. We briefly met Dr. Dax in book one at the end and I was intrigue with what his story would in tittle, little did I know that we would have to wait long to get it.
Krista is a surgical tech nurse that has worked under Dax for years, she is married and a submissive to her husband that is Dax partner. For her birthday one year her husband gives her a threesome with Dax, herself and her Master. It was one of the best nights of Krista and Dax's lives. Shortly after that Her master finds out that he sick and will not make it much longer. With the help of Dax he commits suicide. With the guilt eating up and the attraction he feels for Krista he knows he needs to leave. What better way then to Drs without Boarders for 18 months. When he returns he finds that his attraction for Krista is stronger than ever.
Krista has struggle since the day her husband left her, she feels like she has no purpose in life and wants some one to call the shots like her Master did. She is back to work but that all she does is work, yoga and sleeps. When Dax comes back she has mix feelings because he was the one that should have been there to take care of her. When she decides to go back to the Club to try her hand a new dom it doesn't go as planned and Dax rescues her. Dax decides to take Krista under his domination until she feel like she can handle a new dom. What happens when both cant let their feelings not show anymore? What happens when Krista finds out that Dax helped her husband?
This book was totally different that Bound and Saved and I found that it kept me wanting more and more. Cant wait to see what we get in the next series.

Ah Krista and Dax! From the first page I was totally hooked. This story has such a rollercoaster of emotions and the characters' journeys are anything but straightforward. I haven't read the first book in the series but didn't feel like I missed out on anyway as it was such a great standalone.
From Krista's loss at the very beginning of the book, through to her finding belonging again in the bdsm world she knows she needs, the book is well written, very steamy and such an enjoyable read.
All the characters are really likeable and have their own little journeys that they are on. The yacht sounds like a rather exciting place where a lot of the characters spend considerable time having fun ;)
If you are after a sweet romance and an easy read, mixed with considerable spanking and kink, this is the book for you! Enjoy!

Ah Krista and Dax! From the first page I was totally hooked. This story has such a rollercoaster of emotions and the characters' journeys are anything but straightforward. I haven't read the first book in the series but didn't feel like I missed out on anyway as it was such a great standalone.
From Krista's loss at the very beginning of the book, through to her finding belonging again in the bdsm world she knows she needs, the book is well written, very steamy and such an enjoyable read.
All the characters are really likeable and have their own little journeys that they are on. The yacht sounds like a rather exciting place where a lot of the characters spend considerable time having fun ;)
If you are after a sweet romance and an easy read, mixed with considerable spanking and kink, this is the book for you! Enjoy!

This is the second book in the Miami Master series and I have to say I fell in love with Krista and Dax. We briefly met Dr. Dax in book one at the end and I was intrigue with what his story would in tittle, little did I know that we would have to wait long to get it.
Krista is a surgical tech nurse that has worked under Dax for years, she is married and a submissive to her husband that is Dax partner. For her birthday one year her husband gives her a threesome with Dax, herself and her Master. It was one of the best nights of Krista and Dax's lives. Shortly after that Her master finds out that he sick and will not make it much longer. With the help of Dax he commits suicide. With the guilt eating up and the attraction he feels for Krista he knows he needs to leave. What better way then to Drs without Boarders for 18 months. Master Me, Please is the second book in this fabulous new series by author BJ Wane’s Miami Master’s Series. Krista and Dax's rocky relationship had so many ups and downs, so many trials and tribulations. I felt the heartbreak and pain which was a thread running thru their relationship and I loved how the author wrote their romance. It was a 2nd chance romance but a unique romance at that.
Dax has had a crush on his surgical partner’s wife for a long time. He was able to keep hidden his feelings for Krista and considered himself very lucky when he got to be a part of ménage with Krista that her husband set up. Then things take a terrible turn when her husband killed himself. Now that Krista is a widow, Dax keeps himself far away from the tempting widow. He even goes out of the country for almost 2 years. Krista thought Dax was her friend and instead he left her without a friend, someone to relay on. So Krista decides it’s now time to get back in saddle again and since Dax doesn’t want to keep his promises to his late partner, she’ll go elsewhere for her BDSM needs. Only that doesn’t end up so well for Krista and Dax saves her from a bad situation. Their journey back to each other is rocky and the path back to one another is marred with emotional wounds but Dax learns that Krista is the woman for him. How fast does he come to that relatization and will Krista be willing to accept him in her life after all the time he has spent fighting those feelings when he could have been with her , in harmony? I don’t want to give out any spoilers but this is one story that is amazing with its emotional touchstones along with the passionate sexual scenes that aren’t overdone but just right and I look forward to the next book.

Few things to cover quickly.. This is a BDSM book with pain play and very graphic scenes so if that's not your thing I'd avoid this book.
This story begins with Krista losing her husband and master. And Dax who is the hero having a unhealthy obsession with Krista even before Kurt her husband died, doesnt help they were coworkers and friends.
Dax decides to run off for almost 2 years, after Kurt dies and leaves Krista on her own husband and masterless.
He comes back and trys to stay away from Krista but it proves, to be harder then he imagines. He still holds guilt over something he's hiding from Krista too, so he fights every step of the way. Will Krista find a new master? Will Dax finally lie his, guilt to rest and find his submissive.
I give this story 3 stars I love BDSM books but this one just wasn't fabulous to me, more meh. But if your looking for some sexy taboo scenes that are on the darker side then give this a shot 🙂

The Miami Masters is based on 7 best friends that meet when they were troubled teens. Book 2 features the story of the Dr. Dax. I was surprised that his story was next, but we do get tidbits of each of the other good friends. We again visit Zach and Sandie on the ‘boat’. This story is a bit deeper since Krista is trying to put her life back together after the death of her Master and husband. We learn why Dax really left for 18 months and are there to see him try to come to grips with what happened to his friend. I really enjoyed the letter to Krista from her husband. I enjoyed the banter and loyalty between the 7 best friends and look forward to getting each of their stories.

There is so much emotion swirling through this story; a complex tale of love, loss, and starting over. It also touches on how we’re able to forgive what we once thought was unforgivable. This time we get up close and personal with Dax, learning what it was that drove him to volunteer overseas and the ghosts that continue to drive him now that he’s back. Krista is a widow. And even though a great deal of time has passed since her husband took his life, she’s still trying to come to terms with how he prematurely ended their time together. Dax and Krista had an instant connection even while her husband was alive. Dax vainly tries to fight it, but Krista’s in a place where she’s ready to embrace it – she just needs to out-stubborn the dominant man her heart’s set on. Like the previous book, the heat between them sizzles off the pages. I can’t wait to read the next book.
