Landon Burke, is a bit oblivious to the things going on in the world, even though technically as the Lycan Council member it is his job to know what is at least going on with the lycan packs. He also doesn’t really think much of Miriam’s , the old witches council member, spell to ensure that all those on the council without mates finds one. One could even say that Landon is a playboy, but why not. Landon’s life changes after Miriam passes away and her starts to get migraines on a regular basis. They get worse when he meets the intriguing Wren. Wren didn’t have an easy start in life and honestly, she’s struggling. Her family was a lot of things, but you couldn’t really call them supportive or loving and Wren has done her best to cut all ties with her family and her pack. She doesn’t really trust easily amd the people she does trust, she tries to do everything for them. She’s had to rely on only herself for too long and she’s very skeptical of Landon’s true motives for getting to know her. Both Landon and Wren have a massive chip on their shoulder and really need to come to terms with what’s between the two of them. Landon finally accepts the fact that Wren is his mate, now he just has to convince her. This was a fun read and I can’t wait to see what Juniper Hart has in store for the remaining council members.
