Council of Seven #1

Eternal Vampire

Rate this book
A spell that defies all rules could cost Lane and Henry their lives and change the course of history.
Hidden away from the world and the Enchanted for years, Lane Aldwin is finally permitted to take her seat on the Council of Seven, replacing her grandmother: Miriam. Although Lane was born to a long line of powerful witches, she feels she is not the right witch for the job—especially when her mother’s ulterior motives lurk behind Lane’s every thought.
Matters only get more complicated when Miriam’s love spell manifests upon Lane and the Vampire Regent, Henry Brandis. Henry is sure he has found his mate, even if Lane is as uncertain about their relationship as she is about everything else.
Unfortunately for them, happiness cannot be achieved so easily—not with the delusional Julia Aldwin and other players challenging them with plots that would not only endanger Henry and Lane’s love, but their lives as well.
If you love vampire romances, bad boys, shifters, witches, and alphas who know how to take charge, then you will love Eternal Vampire in the Council of Seven paranormal romance series.
Content Warning: Explicit love scenes and lots of sexy shifters. Intended for 18+ audiences.

A bit of a shorter book, than I’ve read in a while. It was what I was looking for though good book, to enjoy that didn’t consume to much time. I enjoyed it, liking the characters and story. The main characters connections was very fast, along with their physical intimacy. However that seems to be the norm, in most supernatural true mate situations.

I thought the girl that read the book, was good until it came to the main male characters voice. He was a tall good looking vampire and she made him sound like a little weasel. It was an annoying voice.

The storyline for Eternal Vampire is good. The dialogue could be improved. The narrator for the audio book is horrible. I think this story would be much more enjoyable read instead of this audio version. The storyline is interesting enough for me to continue with the series.

I received this story in exchange for an honest, unbiased opinion of my own. Up until this moment I have never heard of Juniper Hart. I did not know what she wrote and if I would like her style of writing. I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised. This concept is something new that I have never read before. I have read about Super Nats on councils however the premise about the gifted species ruling is interesting.

I enjoyed Lane. Even though she was naive at no fault to her own she had spunk. Her mother on the other hand turned into this overbearing, manipulative creature virtually overnight. In the beginning of the story she was kind but by the first chapter we changed. I do understand why but it made me feel sorry for Lane. She loved her mother and her mother only wanted to use her in the end.

Henry was a good leading male for Lane. Yes, he was a bit arrogant, but he made sure that he took care of Lane and made her feel safe and comfortable with herself.

The only issue that I had with this story is that it ended to soon. I wanted to explore more of Lane coming into her own and seeing what type of magic that she has.

Elizabeth Tebb is new to me as well and she did a great job. I am really looking forward in continuing the Council of Seven series. Hopefully we will be able to see more of Lane and Henry in the upcoming books so that we can catch up with them.

I received this book for free to Give My True & Honest Review.

Here we have a selection of various Immortals & witches. The 2 main characters her is the Vampire Regent Henry & Lane Aldwin the witch who's not been seen by anyone in 20 yrs as her mother Julia thought she was protecting her, though I don't know why she didn't listen to her own mother Miriam who was on the Council.
But no-one sees her until she has to take over Miriam's seat as an Aldwin has to have a seat as it was their ancestor who put them together. It was from that first touch that both the very experience Henry or the very naive Lane who hasn't SET foot out side the cottage she's been practically locked up in, feel the electricity that passes between the 2 of them from the set go & Henry knows he can't allow Lane to be kept away from him except on the nights of the meets. So come & see how they connect & what journey Lane goes through

Henry Brandis is the Vampire Regent that sits on the Council of Seven. Lane Aldwin is a young witch who;s been kept in seclusion by her mother for 20 years. On the day of her induction Henry and Lane meet and their is an instant electricity between them as well as their ability to read each other;s mind. Julia;s mother has been preparing her daughter to help her take down the council for many preconceived notions. The draw between Lane and Henry is making it difficult for Lane to focus on what her mother wants and the fact that she hasn't seen what her mother keeps implying doesn;t help her but because she;s been more or less a captive to her mother for many years the leash will be harder to take off. Intrigue, guilt and danger combine into one bit adventure for a young woman who is learning about life and love.
Fantastic story!!!,

Cool Story All Around

External Vampire ( Counsel of Seven)
By Juniper Hart. 4 Stars ****

Cool Story All Around..

What a tangle we weave when we are kept in the dark.
Lame has been sheltered from everything and everyone her whole life till it's time to take over on the counsel seat her grandmother vacated. Boy was she in for a surprise. Being a Aldman and powerful witch, Lane doesn't realize her world is about to be turned upside down.

Henry and the Council of Seven are in for the ride of their life once Lane arrives to take over her grandmother's seat, lol.

Someone is working behind the scenes to dissolve the council. A spell by Lane's grandma for the Council members to find their fated mates just might prove dangerous for some, and that's what makes this story fun to read.

The story revolves around Henry Brandis, the vampire representative for the council of seven, and Lane Aldwin, the newly appointed witch representative. The Council of seven is there to enforce the laws of the immortals, although witches aren’t immortal, they still have their place on the council even if not everyone agrees on this. Lane has been kept away from everything since an incident of dangerous use of magic as a child. Lane’s mother thought she was protecting her daughter, but it may just be the opposite now that Lane has taken over the council seat from her deceased Grandmother. I loved the outcome of the story and the love that didn’t seem to have a chance of a happy ending. I am looking forward to the next books in this new series.

This is a great book! A supernatural council to police their own and all of the supernatural races but one enjoy immortality. After being traumatized and threatened with death when she was 5 by the council, Lane, a witch, is now being initiated into the council as a member. Henry is an attorney and the Vampire Regent. He realizes who Lane is to him, his mate. Will they be able to triumph over all the obstacles that are before them? Find Out Today! I hope this is going to be a series because I WANT MORE! I do have a lot of questions that went unanswered in this book... hopefully the next will come through.

I was gifted an ARC in return of an honest review. (Read 11-13-18)

Lane was raised in complete isolation by her mother. She was predestined to be a member of the Council of Seven when her Grandmother passed away - but her mother thought that the council should be defeated. When the time comes, Lane joins the council, and meets Henry - the regent of the vampires. He seems to be the only one who welcomes her ascension. Will Lane follow her mother's wishes? Or will she break away and do what she thinks is right? How will things turn out for her and her fated mate? A great story, with heaps of twists and turns - I enjoyed every bit of it :-)

Hidden away most of her life by a paranoid mother, who is plotting revenge on the Council of 7, the governing body of the paranormal world, Lane is totally unprepared to take her seat at the council after her grandmother dies.
Help comes unexpectedly from another member of the council, who turns out to be her mate and together they fight against a group of people who want to topple the council to get the power for themselves.
A well-written story with a nice blend of romance and adventure and a touch of psychology.

Lane was raised in total isolation after an incident at school she is one powerful witch and is destined for a seat on the council of seven even though her grandmother who she is replacing believed they needed to end. When she is about to be sworn in only one person makes her welcome Henry the vampire regent after all he has realised who she is. Now she must work her way through the politics of the council and at the same time work on her relationship with her new mate (two guesses who that is) This story has enough twits and turns to keep you turning the pages as fast as you can right until that last page is turned

A really good tale featuring a witch and a vampire. She has been sheltered all her life when she becomes a member of the council following her grandmother's death! He is a lawyer and a member of the council! She has an over protective mother who believes the council are out to kill children (hers included from a young age!) and needs to bring them down, This brings danger to Lane and Henry tries to protect her, knowing she is his mate. The resulting story is fabulous and very well worth the read!

I originally received this as an ARC copy, also in a collection and am leaving this review freely and without reservations

This is the story of Henry, the Regent Vampire on the Council of Seven, and Lane Aldwin, the hereditary witch for the Council. She has been withheld from society by her mother for 20 years and is ill-prepared to assume this position. Can you imagine having no knowledge of cell phones, WiFi or cable TV? This is the plight of Lane. Yet her life has been on a path created by her mother which causes numerous complications. Since I won't spoil the story, let me say that this book is fast-paced with complicated characters. You will have to read this book to learn how a mortal witch and eternal vampire find their HEA ending.

Wow! Talk about so much going on with for one person and having Lane go from being almost a complete shut-in to being exposed to so much and almost all at once!! Did the council actually threaten death or was it all in her moms head? I would love for there to be a sequel, just I know how her new life and Henry’s is doing and especially on the council! Loved the HEA, and you should definitely get this book and find out what happens.

Juniper Hart has created a magical world with a "Council of Seven" consisting of a demon, dragon, werebear, Lycan, vampire, fairy, and witch. Pretty impressive, huh? Oh, and the witch is an Aldwin, direct descendant to Alaric Aldwin who had created them all. These characters each have their own distinct personalities, some of which you'll love and some you'll dislike right off the bat, but all of which will keep you so thorough entrenched in this tale it will be hard to put down. I know it was for me

Hidden away since she was five, Lane is set to take over the vacant witch representative seat on the Council of Seven when she meets her destined mate, the Vampire Regent Henry. Lane and Henry fall for each other in spite of the threats of death if their forbidden relationship is discovered by the council. A very intriguing storyline. I enjoyed reading this book and I am looking forward to the next installment.

A nice start to the Council of Seven

Lane, a sheltered witch, meets Henry, a vampire lawyer, on the night she is inducted to the Council of Seven. As the story progresses Lane fights to find herself, danger arrives from unexpected corners and conspiracies come to light. This was a nice book about being true to yourself and fighting for what is right. I am eagerly looking forward to more stories from this series, including the matches already existing.

it has been a long time coming.

Lane is finally about to take her place on the council, when her greedy mother interferes.

Is Lane drawn to Henry, the Vampire Prince, because of her manipulative mum? or is theirs a different kind of connection ultimately?

will it really make a difference either way?

lives, worlds and destinies are at stake!

They threatened to kill her!
She was only a kiddie at the time! who hasn't revealed something when they were little ones?
This book is a great read. I loved the way that her mother was 'slightly' cray cray.....ok she was b@tsh!t looney bin at times! But can Lane survive not only her mother's own unique love - but the council and her mother's love spell - and be Henry's mate?
Ooh this book was great.....now I can't wait to find out what's next from Juniper Heart!

As a child they threatened to kill her for showing her magic. Now as an adult she is supposed to join them, the council. Lane is a smart woman but how she was brought up really shows how innocent she is about everything. And there are those who will try to use her or destroy her. The romance in the book is somewhat fast but is sweet. Everything is pretty fast paced. Vampires, witches, shifters and more are part of this story.

A REALLY good book.
Lane and Henry were meant for eachother(stating the obvious).
Their stories and the story of the Council left me far more than intrigued.
I am impatient to see who will fall next and how it will change things.

This was as I imagined it would be. Spectacular, well written and I clung to each character. I wanted to keep reading honestly. Having read several similar topic books and watched TV series, this is something I loved reading! If more was going to be apart of this I would consider reading indefinitely! I appreciated the details and moments this had in it. Thank you!
