Because you demanded it: Volume Two of the critically acclaimed Sabrina the Teenage Witch series by Kelly Thompson and Veronica & Andy Fish! Sabrina saved the day—saved her friends, her family—the whole town of Greendale really, and she should be riding high. But things are never quite that simple. She's trapped in a love triangle, she's having trouble balancing the mortal and witch parts of herself, oh yeah, and she's being blackmailed. As if all that wasn't enough, while trying to help Radka and Ren with their...supernatural problem, her aunts suddenly starting to look like people she can't trust. What's a teen witch to do?!
KELLY THOMPSON has a degree in Sequential Art from The Savannah College of Art & Design. Her love of comics and superheroes have compelled her since she first discovered them as a teenager. Currently living in Portland, Oregon with her boyfriend and the two brilliant cats that run their lives, you can find Kelly all over the Internet where she is generally well liked, except where she's detested.
Kelly has published two novels - THE GIRL WHO WOULD BE KING (2012) and STORYKILLER (2014) and the graphic novel HEART IN A BOX from Dark Horse Comics (2015). She's currently writing ROGUE & GAMBIT, HAWKEYE, and PHASMA for Marvel Comics and GHOSTBUSTERS for IDW. Other major credits include: A-Force, Captain Marvel & The Carol Corps, Jem and The Holograms, Misfits, Power Rangers Pink, and the creator-owned mini-series Mega Princess.
Kelly's ambitions are eclipsed only by her desire to exist entirely in pajamas. Fortunately pajamas and writers go hand in hand (most of the time). Please buy all her stuff so that she can buy (and wear) more pajamas.
Sabrina Spellman is back! In this issue she tries to make a spell to help Radka, but it's getting harder than they thought. Therefore, she barely sleeps, has lowered her grades and she also thinks she's been a bad friend. It's been difficult to make some time for them. Moreover, she discovers something about her aunts that would make it hard to trust them. Waiting for the next issue! By the way, I love all this '90s vibe the comic still has.
Sabrina the teenage witch is trying to figure out who cast a spell on her friend the conclusion is definitely not what expected… what will come of this ?
1. Um, excuse me? Why did the nice lady who just wanted to feed a stray cat some treats have to die? That feels unfair.
2. Wow, Sabrina, extra much in delivering a super long speech as you try to reverse a spell on an impatient teenager?
3. I sort of love the version of Sabrina that is tired and 100% done with any bull**** from Radka, but I also love when she softens after Radka is sad and admits sitting still is not her strong suit. I stan both sides of Sabrina.
4. Like any teenager leading a double life (whether it be magic, secretly being a popstar, slaying vampires, or being an actual vampire), Sabrina is having trouble balancing it all. This feels like a trope, but it's a trope I've always liked. It feels realistic that it would be hard for anyone, especially a teenager, to balance all of that.
5. Are we still doing the love triangle thing? *sigh* Look, both boys are dreamy in their own right, but I genuinely think Sabrina shouldn't be with either of them. She has a lot on her plate! They're all better off as friends.
6. The cover of a witch hangout being a holiday store is one of the funniest things I've ever read. I loved Della being like, "Well, a tarot shop or medicinal shop is too obvious, and we got raided when we were a conservative bookshop so..."
7. I am Aunt Hilda in the scene in which Aunt Zelda gives her crap for being a sore loser and bad at the witch game Sabrina has just learned.
8. There's not enough Salem content in this issue. I find this to be unacceptable because I deeply love Salem and need more of his sass in my life.
9. Seriously Is there no one left we can trust?
10. As per usual, fantastic art/coloring from Veronica and Andy Fish. I would love a poster from this series.
This is cute, but not amazing. I went in kind of blind, not being in the fandom for a long time and just wanting to see what's new. I feel like this story started off as messy and all over the place. I love Sabrina and i love the art so I will follow along for this and see how it goes.
I never watched the original series or remake but man.... the graphic novel version made me want to. I truely loved her story. However I think I stated with the wrong book... Will be reading the original series as well. Loved this!
This is very cute and I was in love when I was reading this!! The art is also super cute as well!! Very great story I enjoyed reading it and yes its not the same as the show buts its still cool and their are similarities.
