Stephen Kirkendall, ChFC (chartered financial consultant), has helped Christians with financial investments for many years through mortgage loans, life insurance, investments, estate planning, retirement-income planning, and wealth management. He realized early on that most Christians have serious questions about tithing, but there seemed to be no solid answers. He decided to dig deeper into the truth in the Scriptures. There are too many wolves on TV, the Internet, and YouTube. They state that pastors who talk about tithing are thieves and that tithing is unscriptural and that they're getting away with it because no one is challenging them with the full truth. Churches have broken up over tithing. There are marriages that have ended in divorce because of tithing. The real, full truth needs to come out. It is so important that God uses more than seven chapters to explain! The result is the biblically driven study Necessary for Jesus. Most Christians know what was necessary for Jesus. Seventy prophecies fulfilled. Why don't Christians know what is necessary for Jesus? Seventy rewards for helping Jesus.
During his search for answers, Kirkendall knew he could honestly answer questions about money by going straight to God's teaching-the Bible. Stephen also realized that when he used the Scriptures, it had to be copy-and-paste. All Christians, especially the church teachers and leaders, need to know the full truth about tithing and how the lessons about it in the Scriptures still apply today. Giving back to God is the wisest investment Christians can make. It will not only lead to financial security but also to a completely blessed and prosperous life.

It's not every day that you get to understand the will of God expressed in a book! It's not every day that learning becomes easy, and it's not every day that we can see how it can impact our lives. I am grateful for this sharing of insights done by Stephen R. Kirkendall, it had changed my mindset, and it has truly opened my heart to God, and I have begun to accept him as my Lord and Savior. He is a great writer, and he is an effective influencer! Sharing his insights and then relating them to the scriptures made me see the objective part about what he wants to tell us and what God wants from us too!
Furthermore, his personal stories and the stories from the bible are wonderful examples of how to live life and how life improves with God. It's not rocket science because living a good life starts from following God's commandments. It's that easy!
I love my experience with this book, and I am sure that it will not only bless me, but it will bless a million more people in the world if they would take the time to understand and reflect what has been shared here. So, if you want to live a God-centered life, check this book out and see for yourself! Stay blessed!
What is wealth? That to me has always been the most challenging question I ask myself daily. I work hard, and I get good money from the hard work that I have done. It gives me satisfaction when I can give a part of myself to the company, and the company is also grateful for the service I give them. Wealth to me is money! It is how much I have and what I can give in exchange. I honestly never felt lonely or have that gnawing feeling that my life is incomplete. Moreover, there was a part of me that wanted to give back. So, I gave back to charity.
As a single woman, I chose to give back to the children in the hospital ward with cancer. Every year I visit them, and I throw a small party and give them gifts. This warms my heart, and the joy that I feel explodes deep within me. And so, this act of charity fully satisfies me. Stephen said when people use their time and money to help others, then that's what truly makes them wealthy.
I grew up in London, and practicing religion wasn't as important as it was forty years ago. I was born in 1989 and raised a Catholic. Both of my parents are Italians, and Catholicism was no longer strictly practiced in the UK. However, I am well-read about the Bible. I have read the Old and the New Testament, and as I explore this book, I suddenly recognize what he wants to tell his readers.
He wants us to believe in God's will, he wants us to be saved, and he wants us to trust in God with all our hearts. It does have an impact on me, even if I may not have practiced any religion for twenty years now. I believe that his teachings have a lot of value, especially about God's rewards. We might think that the rewards are monetary, and yet, the rewards are a test of our character and maturity. Some people grow in their faith, and I believe that if you do follow what you believe, then you will completely mature in that path.
I believe this book has so much to offer! It has a beautiful lesson that we all need to explore and understand. Each book is a blessing for anyone who connects to it. Find the magic of this book and see for yourself!
Jesus, The Lord, and His commandments. Only a few people understand God's will and take it to heart. Moreover, what do we need to do to achieve perfection and eternal salvation? Well, in this book "Necessary for Jesus 70 Prophecies, 70 Rewards", Stephen lays out all the foundations on how to be that and so much more! It's interesting for me to hear about another author's perspective about Christianity and the many ways he has interpreted the Bible. It doesn't come as a surprise that everything stated here is the only way we need to be guided. Furthermore, the best is already laid out for us, and all we need to do is read about it and take it to heart.
There are so many learning and insights I have gained from reading this book, and this one particular interpretation from the 70 rewards rings true for me. Stephen said:
"Even though we can’t serve God and mammon, we can, without a shadow of doubt, use mammon to serve God. If you look at it through the world’s eyes, you may believe you have very little to give. In God’s eyes, if you are a faithful steward, He can trust you with much more (a blessing). If you are unjust or unfaithful, why would He trust you with true riches? As Jesus said, you can only serve one master. You can serve the self through earthly wealth (mammon), or you can serve God. Even though we can’t serve God and mammon, we can, without a shadow of doubt, use mammon to serve God. If you look at it through the world’s eyes, you may believe you have very little to give. In God’s eyes, if you are a faithful steward, He can trust you with much more (a blessing). If you are unjust or unfaithful, why would He trust you with true riches? As Jesus said, you can only serve one master. You can serve the self through earthly wealth (mammon), or you can serve God".
Earthly possession is a temptation, and we all seek that. Sometimes we get carried away, and we associate ourselves with what we have vs what we ought to give. Check this book out and see what it can do for your soul!
God, love and deliverance! What more could we ask for? In this book, we will get to understand God and his will for us, we will get to realize the power of love, and what deliverance means.
I now have a deeper understanding about God and why He wants us to follow and obey him. Worshipping him is one thing, at the same time, God's ultimate desire is for us to live a good life. We know in our hearts that the commandments (“You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law. (Rom. 13:8–10)) is the ultimate foundation of a peaceful and happy life.
If we do this, we can live in joy and develop better relationships with others. Furthermore, the commandments made me learn more about LOVE, especially about UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. This to me is the most challenging part of the commandments because it is difficult to love your enemies, but if you do, then you have truly strengthened your character because it is only in loving those that are difficult to love that you can truly test how far you can love others.
Deliverance is a far cry to your salvation. Most of the time, I feel that I am not worthy of the promised salvation that God has offered. Most of the time, I still feel and recognize the sins I have done, and yet, the scripture overrules that and tells us that God forgives and always gives people a chance. This gives me hope, and this might be the last thing I will develop in myself, but I will do it and will trust what is in the scriptures.
I believe that living a life with the guidance of the bible is a great way to live life, and I am encouraging everyone to start living their life in this manner. There is so much to gain and nothing to lose! So, start your journey with God now!
Love, trust, and obedience are all that God asks of us. How cool is that? In the Christian world it is simple, but only a few people understand and follow it. We get confused, and we get influenced by our friends, social media, and advertising. I am in my mid-twenties and living in America has made it impossible to live a Christ-centered life. Furthermore, I have always felt that urge to change and live a more peaceful life.
This happened to me when I realized how toxic I have become to my family and my friends. I started to read the bible and going to church every Sunday. Part of that change is to expose myself with books, where the teachings of God are expressed in detail and are objectively related to the Scriptures and Bible verses. That is why I got this book because I know that it will help me with that change.
So, what I first learned from Stephen is about tithing. Surprisingly this doesn't get discussed often in church, but I am glad that it was discussed here. There is so much to learn and love about giving back. It has taught me when I do, I can help others and allow the Church to grow and administer its works to the poor.
Next is the value of wealth. I am a believer that wealth always comes from what you can give to the world, the environment, and others. It is your skill, and your skill is unique to you because it helps others become better too! And I was right after all! The value of wealth always comes from the expression of joy from the person who gives it! This is also where fulfillment and real happiness springs forth!
Lastly, I have learned to trust and obey God! This is always difficult for me because my mind has the tendency to play tricks and tells me that there is always something wrong and that I need to fix it!
This book made me become a more insightful person, and hopefully, I can begin to practice the value of it consistently. It is always a challenge to be a better human being, but as they say, all we need to do is to trust God, and everything else will fall into place.
Enrich your life and start reading this book by Stephen R. Kirkendall! It is indeed one of the best books to enlighten and help make a change in our life! I believe that it is perfect for people going through a lot of ordeals. Drug addiction, womanizing, alcoholism, and plenty of other things that corrupt us. The reason I believe that it heals people is that it teaches us about God's commandments, how to trust and obey God always, and the 70 rewards that await us when we let God rule our life.
To me, it starts with following the commandments. Following this ( "You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as your- self.” Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law."
(Rom. 13:8–10)) already guarantees a peaceful and loving life. Second is about trust in God. When we trust God, we give our whole self to him, and we surrender our worries and our pain. God is encompassing, and he always knows, and that is why when Jesus Christ was healing the sick, all those that believed were healed because their trust allowed the miracle to penetrate in their bodies and their hearts. Lastly, the 70 rewards that await us are a great motivator to invite and receive Christ in our lives. More than healing, it promises maturity in our Spiritual Growth and maturity in our ways of understanding the will of God. So, to me, there is no other book that will help us live a great life. It is always the word of God and practicing his commandments and then believing in Him!
This book says it all, and I am highly recommending it to everyone! Cheers!
Life seems to be a challenge for some, and yet some people flow through life and have money coming easily to them. So, the question is, "how does one suffer, and how does another human being live with such ease and harmony"? In a nutshell, it starts with the purity of our hearts, and the purity of our hearts starts by first living out the will of God through his commandments. I would say that this is the ultimate law! Who in this world will experience suffering if they love one another? Who would experience a crime of passion if we do not commit adultery? And, who will have troubles in the family if we honor our mother and father? The answer is no one! But then as human beings evolved, we have become selfish and we have forgotten the word of God.
This book by Stephen R. Kirkendall came out in a timely manner. As you can see, we are going through a rough time. The world is slowly dying. The natural resources have been slowly stripped away by selfishness and lack of control in the production of raw materials. Furthermore, we have been irresponsible in our use of money. We have used money for the sake of image and our selfish desires. We use sex to cover up for the loneliness we feel inside. Lastly, we are seeking happiness outside of us; when happiness is truly what is inside our hearts.
In this book, we will understand his will and what it takes to grow our Spirit. Growing our spirit starts by obeying God and then accepting him in our lives. Also, there is a lot more relevant information that will warm your heart, as the scriptures explain in detail. To me, there is nothing else that will help us become better until we live in accordance with God's will! So, check out what is in store for you in this wonderful book and be blessed!
I am excited about this book! I am excited at how it will change my life, and I am excited at how it will change the lives of my loved ones, my friends, and to everyone who will read it! This is the best book for the new millennium! The world has changed, and people have forgotten how to live righteously! Many of us do not even know the history of Jesus and the Bible, and I am guessing that there is a possibility that in some schools, there is no longer a discussion about it.
The world has evolved so much, and it has made our environment more polluted, it has made our lives less meaningful, and it has made people more depressed. The depression comes in because we seek something else, something that has a lesser value, and that is money and fame. The rise of social media has made people less mindful, and that is why I am thankful for this book that Stephen wrote because it is time for a change.
In this book, you will understand the full meaning of giving back to the Church and how it will benefit humanity. You will also learn the true meaning of wealth. To me, this is important because few people feel rich despite their success and money. Furthermore, you will also learn how to fully trust and obey God. Obedience and trust are the core of it all. I believe that when you obey and trust God, there is full communion to your relationship and that obedience means that you have truly understood his power and intentions. If we follow all that God wants from us, we will witness a change of mindset, a change in behavior, and a brand-new lease in life. God and the commandments guarantee that, and all that is asked of us is to follow!
A journey toward a beautiful relationship with the Lord. How do we trust God? If you are curious about that topic and you are ready to receive God in your life, then this is the best book for you.
I am not a Christian, but I always knew in my heart that there is a God that loves and protects us. This God is powerful, and he helps us to whatever he can so that we can live a great life. In this book, we have guidelines on how and why we should receive God in our lives. The motivation for me to receive Christ comes from the rewards that were discussed by Stephen. The word reward sounds so enticing, but as you learn what it is about, you will understand that it is more of an act of love and servitude that God is offering, rather than the monetary rewards that we expect it to be.
In addition, as we begin to understand his will for us, we then realize that we need to follow the commandments. The commandments are laid out for us in this book as a reminder to follow and obey the law of God. Furthermore, as we begin to obey, we then receive Christ in our lives, and we begin to be saved by our sins and live a life of perfection! Perfection was also addressed in this book, which means:
"The word perfection in this verse means “completion” or “moral uprightness.” God wants us to be complete and morally upright in Him. Remember, David referred to this “perfection”: “Mark the perfect man and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace” (Ps. 37:37, KJV)".
It's so simple and profound, which is something we can always revert to when we feel that we have not done our best to be morally upright. So, are you ready to obey and trust God? If you are, check this book out, read it, and develop the best insights about it. You will never go wrong!
This book is beyond fascinating! It has cleared so much confusion I have about Christianity. It now made me understand what salvation means, the importance of tithing, and the 70 rewards we will receive from God when we invite him into our lives! Inviting God into our lives seems to be an easy thing to do, moreover, as Stephen reiterates, inviting God and then receiving him fully is how this works. So, what does that mean? He expresses this from a bible verse, and the other one the story of Peter: "Not everyone who says to Me, “Lord, Lord,” shall enter the kingdom of heaven [Reward #6], but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. (Matt. 7:21) (The Story of Peter)
"Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. So, He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them. When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick [Reward #9], that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sick- nesses.” (Matt. 8:14–17; see also Mark 1:29–34 and Luke 4:38–41)
This is only a glimpse of how this book will provide clarity to us Christians and to truly realize what God can do for us when we accept and trust in Him!
The chapter about the 70 rewards is a beautiful reminder of how our lives will become blessed and enhanced by God. Funny because believing in God and accepting him in our lives is such an easy thing to do, and if we want to live well, we must start now!
Have you ever wondered where this concept of tithing came into play? I am a Christian, and sometimes I do feel obligated to give 10% of my earnings to the Church instead of giving it wholeheartedly. I needed a clear-cut explanation about why that is, and so, when I got hold of this book, it somehow made me realize why this is something we as Christians need to fulfill. And so, it states:
"A tithe is a tenth of goods or income paid as a tax for the support of the church.” According to the Bible, the tithe is a tenth of any increase". Moreover, this definition doesn't stop here. Stephen elaborates on how this helps grow the Church and the followers of God. In every tithe we offer, it helps the missionaries with their mission work, it helps to give back to the poor so we can realize that a part of what we have is an offering to God. I like that! I believe that when we realize that what we have on Earth is not ours, but from God, we then become thankful and realize where we come from and develop the deepest respect for our Creator.
I believe that this book changed my mentality of feeling obligated to recognize the things that God has given me. In essence, I believe this book is great because you will not only learn what tithing means, but you will understand what our lives truly mean when we live it in accordance with God's will!
I sincerely hope that Stephen writes more insights about God and how to live the Christian life. It has helped me, and I know it will help others too!
Nobody said it like it should be: "The more wisdom and knowledge you have, the more valuable your time is. The more valuable your time is, the more money, or the replacement of it, you can earn". So, it appeared to me that Stephen's book is not only about God, it's also about our growth as an individual. As you can see here, he has shared something profound about our abilities. Our abilities are important, and the more we hone them, the more we develop, and the more money we gain from that growth. There is nothing wrong with working hard and striving to be good at it. Our skills are God-given, and it is of sheer importance to continue to develop it. At the same time, there is something to be said about money and our intentions too! Some people work hard because money is the only security that they feel, and it possesses them.
What God wants us to realize is there is more to what money can offer, and it shouldn't be the only sense of happiness and security. Our blessings are to be shared with those that need it, and when we realize that, the more we will be blessed. :-) I also believe that integrating the verses of the Bible when it comes to money, tithing, and our full obedience to God's words, is the smartest way for us to grow intelligently, and spiritually.
I believe that Stephen is a powerful teacher! He has a good grasp of what he wants to share to us readers, in the hopes that we can live a peaceful, loving, and God-centered life! Isn't that all there is to life? Well, I believe so! And if you do, check this out, and see your life change!
How to live the best years of your life? I believe it is to live in accordance with the will of God, and it is of the same token as Stephen's teachings from his book: "Necessary for Jesus 70 Prophecies, 70 Rewards". This book is brilliant! Anyone ready to receive Christ as his Savior and obey God is also ready to read the powerful insights laid out from this book. I have learned so many amazing things and wonderful realizations and one of which is about our intentions when we give our tithes to the Church.
It is no secret when we give, we receive, and that is law because we disregard that God sees our intentions- ALL THE TIME! What needs reinforcing is to give from our hearts. Giving from the heart is moved by the Spirit. It is pure, and its only intention is to help. That is why we need to not only obey God, but we also need to understand our Spirit and our psychology too. This may start to be a challenge, but as we practice doing good things, it becomes a walk in the park.
Tithing makes you realize that you are helping the word of God grow to help preserve the Church and the mission works of priests and other people in the ministry. How cool is that? Nobody was truly able to express the meaning of tithing as much as Stephen has, and for that, I am thankful! Furthermore, this is not the only thing that we will learn- there is so much MORE! And so, if you are up for living the best years of your life, start exposing yourself to books that will cleanse your heart and purify your soul. Start reading this and witness the miracle!
Life is a mystery for a lot of us. Some people believe to enjoy life! Some people believe life is what we make of it, and some believe to live in the faithfulness and guidance of their religion. I believe there is so much to learn from everyone's perspective, and I learned a lot from Stephen R. Kirkendall's book. I admire Stephen's passion and conviction. His love for his religion, which is Christianity, truly comes out from his writing. His vision for humanity is obvious too! He wants people to live in obedience to God and worship God. He shared this information so that we will understand who God is, what he wants from us, and then help us achieve salvation.
In my opinion, this is another perspective that we can gain a lot of beautiful insights from, and if you want to grow as a devout Christian, then this will be the perfect book for you. Furthermore, if you are also looking to know more about Christianity, this is also a wonderful book to explore. Stephen is a great teacher, and he teaches the scripture and the bible verses quite well, so your time will certainly not be in vain. Lastly, if you are looking to feed your soul with wonderful thoughts and acts of kindness, this will also be a great book to expose yourself too! It will help you develop kindness and unconditional love for people.
I believe that we all have a different way to live our life! Furthermore, there is always beauty in believing in God because it naturally enhances our lives, and it brings miracles to believers. Come check it out and see if it helps you!
Stephen R Kirkendall is a passionate, insightful, and dignified man. He wants to share the scriptures so that others can live in harmony to the word of God. What is more important than to follow that? To me, there is no argument about what he wants to teach us, and it is going to make an impact on everyone! He is indeed an amazing man with the best intentions! In relation, his teachings are easy to understand, and he expresses them with the Bible Verses from the Old Testament. This can help people realize that the teachings of God did not only come from the new version of the bible. God's teachings were shared even before Christ was born.
Make no mistake, even if He was saying the verse for the Jews, He was referencing the entire nation to follow and obey Him, as He is our God and Master. Moreover, what He wants is simple, and one of the things that we sometimes have difficulties following is the Royal Law. To me, the "Royal Law" means that we need to care for others as much as we do for ourselves. On the same token, it appears to be a challenge because the world has become more selfish, and it wants to hoard all the resources for themselves instead of sharing them with others. So, to me, living the life that is ordained by God is the best solution to living a great life, and how wonderful it is to find a book that reminds us to be such? Thanks, Stephen for all that you do!
This book by Stephen R. Kirkendall is relevant for the new millennium! I believe that we need this piece of enlightenment to guide our lives. Reading about God and his promise of deliverance and love has touched me! I believe that there is nothing more powerful than the unique understanding of God's will and what he expects from his people so that they can live a wonderful life. God is our creator, which means that he knows what will make his creation happy, content, and live with meaning.
Follow the commandments with the best intentions because the new ways in the new millennium have corrupted our lifestyle and our hearts, and we forget the word of God! We forget how to be loving and giving to others. We only think of ourselves because we are afraid that we might not have enough. This crazy mindset has resulted in wars and power tripping, may it be in politics and the corporate world. This has got to change, and I believe that exposing people with books that feed our souls and infused with God's words is the first thing that we need. So, let us start by reading this book and then reading the bible too. This book contains verses and parables in the New Testament; at the same time, it would be best to have the bible as our guide for reflection and reminder.
This is a powerful book, and I know that anyone who reads it will start to see a great change in their life. Check it out!
What are the 70 Prophecies and the 70 Rewards? In this book written by Stephen R. Kirkendall, I learned all that and a lot more things that made an impact on my life. I am a Christian, and yet I was never serious with my fate. Around 2015, I was diagnosed with Cancer. When I started chemotherapy, I was so afraid of what might happen. I had every means to feel secure because I have medical insurance, and I have a good amount of money saved in the bank to carry me through that ordeal, but something missing about the equation, and that was prayer and trust in the Lord.
I was struck by Stephen's testimony when he said he underwent a triple bypass operation, and they discovered it before it could get worse, and that is because God is always working beside us, and Stephen lives his life under the foundation of God's words. For me, it came late in my life, and I had to go through a lot of pain before I could truly receive Christ.
After that ordeal and after understanding the relevance of trust and full obedience, my life was never the same again. Five years from chemotherapy, I am now cancer-free, and I am living the best time of my life. I think this book's powerful message should be read by all because I know that it will bless others, and it will help people realize that for us to live wonderfully, we have to invite Christ in our lives. So, are you ready for this? If you are, you should start reading this book and then share it with others!
Living in the context of following God's commandments, tithing, and understanding what God has in store in our lives is what we will all learn from this book! I believe that what we will learn here supersedes what we will learn by reading the Bible on our own. I believe that Stephen has been generous in his knowledge to us readers, and he poured all of what he knows about Christ to empower us and enlighten us.
I also believe this book will serve as an inspiration for mankind to start living a life following God's will. What might come out of the world? You see, the world is in chaos. Wars, deadly diseases, and starvation. These are three effects of how we have been living life for thousands of years. But then if we follow the golden rule, which is to love our neighbors as ourselves, wars, deadly diseases, and starvation will slowly diminish. Therefore, I believe this book should be read by ALL because it teaches us to understand the will of God, his vision for humanity, and how our lives will get better if we do what he says.
God seeks humanity to be one, and why he created the commandments, and he expressed for it to be obeyed. In this book, there is more to following the commandments, and there is more to the rewards of tithing that we learn. Our Spirits will grow, and our humanity will change. If you have some time to grab a copy of this wonderful book, do so, read it and be blessed!
Wealth, happiness, and love! Everyone wants a life like that, but only a few people understand how to live like it! So, what do I mean? First, it must start with you. Based on my own experience, I started attaining wealth, happiness, and love when I accepted God in my life. Moreover, I needed to let go of a lot of things also, as a tradeoff. I started to eat less because I was extremely overweight, and then I started to take care of my body.
I also gave up going to the mall on Sundays and traded that time to go to Church. I replaced time in the bar every Friday with time for my new friends in Church, and we discussed the Bible together. My life started to change, and I started to lose weight. I became happier, and I started to feel an abundance of love in my heart.
Receiving Christ is the only way, and I believe that this is the way for all! Furthermore, as you read the book by Stephen R. Kirkendall, you will get to learn more insights about the meaning of wealth, happiness, and love. What's more, is that this is an easy read and a short one. If you are curious about how to integrate Christ into your life, then this is the perfect opportunity to do so.
I am highly recommending this book because all that I am doing and all the Christians in the world who are experiencing abundance and love in their life is coming out from full reverence to the Lord. So, if you want to learn more about that, check out this book and feel blessed afterward! Cheers!
The peace that encompasses all understanding is the heart that trusts and obeys God with all their heart. I have had struggles with this teaching, yet I can now understand and grasp its meaning when I read this book. I have learned that it is okay to be a wealthy Christian, and the definition has a different meaning. Wealth is something that comes from good intentions and comes from the willingness to use your time and resources to help others.
Furthermore, I learned about unconditional love. I learned that it is not enough to love your neighbor, but then it is more important to love your enemies. This is the most challenging part of my learning experience because I always keep some anger and hatred for the people who have done me wrong, but as I released that, I realized that I have released a lot more other things that were helpful for my Spirit to grow.
Lastly, I learned about the 70 rewards that God has in store for us. This to me, is the most beautiful part of the learning experience. I learned that God has a lot of wonderful things in store for us. It doesn't come with monetary rewards, but it comes with the best intentions to make our lives better!
This is such a powerful book, and I am glad that I was able to read it and write a review about it too! I believe that there is more value in this book if we take its teachings with more seriousness and apply it in our lives as soon as we can. Check it out!
What a lovely little book. I love books that aim to bring me closer to my Heavenly Father. This was one of them.
This book is like God speaking to your heart - the only thing better is the Bible itself. It passed the forty-year print mark, yet it's as fresh as ever! God's word is featured throughout, so you'll pick up many great scriptures to stand on and memorize. The writing is succinct, so every paragraph is an entire sermon. Yet it's easy to understand. This alone reveals Stephen R Kirkendall to be one of the world's most accomplished writers, not only among writers of faith. As a writer and being a chartered financial consultant, his utter reliance on the Lord Jesus Christ shines through, whose voice speaks through the wisdom on every page.
This author relates how we must get strong in knowing that God wants us to prosper, and we need to ignore people that come into our lives trying to convince us that we are meant to be poor.
And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me [Reward #14]. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it [Reward #15]. He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me [Reward #16]. (Matt. 10:38–40; also, Mark 9:41 and Luke 9:48, 14:26–27)
God's blessing comes in different sizes, and often expressed in the people that share His words. To me, this book written by Stephen is an expression of God's blessings to people. This book contains so many wonderful truths that not a lot of authors can capture in their writings. There are a lot of things that I also never understood about Christianity, but then this book allowed me to see it a little bit more clearly. Now I understand what tithing means and how important it is for the Church and mankind.
We all might think that God wants a portion of what he has given us, but God wants his Church to grow and wants us to value our commitment to serve others and to value the commitment of following his commandments. Second, I began to understand the meaning of God's rewards. The good thing is that it has a summary, so it will be easier to remember and build a reference as you progress with your journey to the Christian life. I can realize the importance of obedience and why we must do that for the sake of living a peaceful and happy life.
This is a great book and a good source of learning and inspiration! I would strongly recommend it to anyone seeking guidance and who are ready to devote themselves to the life of Christianity. It might not be a book for everyone, but it is a book for some who are ready to experience newness in their lives! Best wishes!
Love, light, and obedience. These are the three important things I have learned from this book! This is a profound book, and I truly enjoyed and learned a lot. The title itself already tells you what it means and what it wants from the readers. God wants us to receive Him, and he also expresses what we can receive for return of our obedience and trust. It doesn't surprise me that living a Christ-centered life is the path to love, light, and obedience. It is the law, and it will remain that way.
As discussed, we attain perfection when we are morally upright. We feel it, and when we do something that is not right, we feel bad, and there is always a consequence from those actions. When we feel good, that is because we are doing the right thing. We must trust and surrender. Full deliverance and the acceptance of God will enable everyone to live in harmony and to live at peace within themselves.
It is such an easy road to take, even the concept of Buddhism, which is karma speaks about the same thing, and it always builds a ripple effect in our lives. So, what do you have to lose? Nothing! All we need to do is follow, believe, and receive Christ!
Such a great piece, and I know that it will help a lot of people who are looking to build a great life for themselves, their family, and their community. Read it and be blessed!
God and his vision for humanity is beautiful! And I feel so blessed to have read this book by Stephen R. Kirkendall!
God’s work was expressed from his prophecy, and this was before the birth of Christ. This information is a powerful tool because it makes us realize that God’s words are real and true. That also tells us that when he had asked us to obey and promised the 70 rewards in return, that it is bound to happen, and it will impact our lives- forever! The 70 rewards are such a great motivator to finally accept God in our lives- if we haven't already.
Furthermore, we learn a lot more about the life of Jesus and the parables taught in the bible. This is valuable because when we understand the bible, we can then apply it in our lives and have a deeper understanding of what it truly means.
In a nutshell, this book is one of the best books that I have come across to enhance my journey to Christian life. I like that I learned important things such as tithing, the meaning of wealth, and the meaning of skills and the value of hard work. This is equally important, apart from learning about God and his teachings.
I believe this book will help a lot of people understand the importance of accepting Christ in our lives, and when we understand that, it will begin to transform our behavior and the quality of our lives. A must-read! Check it out!
If we want to change and if we want a good life, it has first to start in believing and accepting Christ in our lives! The Christian life is simple because it is all about obedience, acceptance, and then salvation. I believe that we ought to learn a lot from the Christians, and that is why I started to read more about their dogma and what it truly means to live their ways.
I am a free thinker, and I love reading the many perspectives of others, most especially religion. I find this to be the most important topic in a person's life as this shapes their psychology and how they live their life. What I have found out from their perspective, according to this book, is that it is quite simple and direct! I also believe that it has the potential to develop a person's character in the best way that it should, and it will enhance the quality of their life too! Obedience to the commandments means a peaceful and loving life. Spiritually that is the core of who we are, and when a person follows this norm, then his life becomes easy, and he can live peacefully.
I believe this book is a wonderful read for everyone! It is a great tool for guidance, learning, and insight! If you are a Christian, it will help you tremendously, if you are a voracious reader, it will expand your learning, and if you are a free thinker, it will open your minds to infinite possibilities!
Believe, Receive, and Invite Christ in your life! This is what the book wants us to do. It's simple, thought-provoking and enriching! I love the teachings and the insights shared by Stephen R. Kirkendall. Such a great teacher!
It is necessary first to believe! When you truly understand the meaning of the commandments, you will realize that it has the best intentions for people, and it does make our lives better. Furthermore, as we practice the commandments in our lives, we are now ready to receive Christ. Receiving Christ is believing that we have already been saved and that Jesus has already died for our sins. Salvation is receiving Christ, and that is when we also receive the rewards he has offered. The 70 rewards will make you aware of the many ways that God will bless your life once you receive Him.
Life is easy, it always has been, and yet we forget that because our humanity overtakes the sensibilities of how we should live our life. If you are seeking to live a glorious life in reverence to the word of God, then this is the perfect book for you! It is a guarantee that your life will improve, and your relationship with others will grow as well. Come check it out!
This is the first Christian book I've read, and it can bring you to your faith in Christ in its first few pages.
I trust that after you read it, you will want many to give away. Stephen Kirkendall has done a great service to Christians in writing this book. He has written it in such a way that it will be accessible to the unbeliever who wants to know what we believe about tithing, God's reward and His Word, the new believer who is opening their Bible for the first time, to pastors and professors who want to be encouraged (again) about money matters and the necessity of God's word. It is a book about the Bible that is saturated with Scripture. Every chapter has a heading with a passage of Scripture, and other references and text spread throughout. I encourage you when reading this book to have an open Bible next to you. I think Kirkendall did a wonderful job in commending our love of Scripture, and more importantly, the Triune God of Scripture. It is an excellent book, and I am grateful he has written it!
This is a great little book that offers a big punch.
This is the first book I have read by Kirkendall. I found his writing to be concise and well organized. I appreciated his honesty and candor in providing answers about tithing. I feel he provided good scriptures to support his ideas.
I thought it was eye-opening that he shows us that we don't always have a clear understanding of what tithing is. I know for myself; I probably use the word tithe way too much and not in the right way. Not that it's wrong, but I now understand the full meaning of tithing.
We all want to be rewarded, but I loved the part of the book about giving back to Jesus. There is such joy in giving offers to the Lord in small and large ways, and Kirkendall's thoughts on this were so wonderful.
Kirkendall challenges the reader to examine if they are merely reading the word of God to acquire head knowledge or are seeking the Holy Spirit's guidance to be transformed in their daily lives. This book is truly a treasure and one that should be re-read often.
I have been trying to deepen my understanding of God and learn new things that are more like solid food. I'm not into "prosperity preaching", and I assure you that this book is not like that at all. What I learned is that I can't believe I haven't known about it before, but that doesn't mean a lot of people do! It's a small book but gets straight to the point.
Many people study and do so in great depth only to feel inundated with too much information and overwhelmed by never-ending questions with not enough life to gain all the answers. This book will help snap you back to what's important, to what's essential, and offer you a primer of what to keep one's spiritual eye on. God wants us. He always has. We must carry on His will and rescue our fellow imagers, loving and serving like Jesus and become more useful to His Kingdom.
I'm not going to try to explain much more; you need to buy the book and find out for yourself.
This is the best book I've read on the subject (though I haven't read many). The author answers all my questions, but he teaches me to ask better questions, and then he answers those too!
There are a lot of things I'm going to implement into my finances, and I appreciate the scriptural references in each chapter, it gives a strong foundation for you to build on as you learn more.
“Assuredly, I say to you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” (Matt. 25:32–40)
For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. (Rom. 15:4)
I enjoyed this book. It was the most thought-provoking, and in some way, challenging book I've read in a long time. Sadly, it isn't often you read a book targeted at a popular Christian audience that makes you think, even rarely does one challenge the way you should live.
