The author gives clear and concise details and you are bound to find yourself and your own experiences shadowing those of the author. Ms. Alston takes us on her journey in chronology and ties everything together with precise detail. You will find yourself wondering how she bounces back so frequently all while cheering for her to be heard and understood! I will definitely reread this book and reference it for a long time to come!

The author really did something with this book. Literally a page turner, so engaging that I found myself awake at 1am on a Tuesday night still turning pages. Her story is one that anyone, regardless of gender, can relate too. I was able to relate to nearly every chapter of this book. More importantly I was able to learn something in every chapter.

Ms. Alston attributes her ability remain “Standing” to God; his Favor, Grace, and Mercy but she is not overly “churchy”. Yes, she references scripture but she does not preach at you. Rather she shows you that you are not alone, God is always there and always been there.

She did it!! She wrote a bestseller!! I read her book in one evening. I’m telling you I couldn’t put it down. Beautifully written, honest and true. As she takes us on a journey back in time as a little girl and through all of her ups and downs she came out victorious! I am telling you she wasn’t suppose to win but by God’s grace and mercy she did. The book is an amazing read go and get it and read it for yourself. #Caroline

This book is equal parts reflection, introspection, self-confrontation, and liberation. Alston takes stock of a life laid bare through confronting her life and decisions to come out better on the other side. As a woman, mother, minister, and corporate executive, she unveils common pitfalls many women encounter while facing tough truths head on using prayer and faith.

Definitely a book worth reading.

The author left no stone unturned with this one. Every chapter had a message and a lesson, so many relatable moments especially being a child of God and all the challenges. It was a mirror view with more depth, a must read and very bold . I literary steered at the ceiling a couple of ours after finishing this book to think. One word "Inspirational".
