Macee LeBlanc has no interest in becoming royalty—it’s her sisters who are meant for the role. But when she catches the eye of Prince Louis, she quickly finds herself training to become the Crown Princess of Monaco.

Prince Louis has been engaged to Liane LeBlanc for as long as he can remember, but one look at her beautiful, mud-covered sister and he knows he’s found his future queen. Macee’s feisty free spirit is just what he craves after years of stuffy society and strict rules. Now if only he can get the carefree tomboy to see him as more than a royal pain in the behind.
As family secrets and pieces of the past threaten to emerge, Macee and Louis must learn to see eye to eye if they’re going to find their way to a happily ever after.
New to Leslie? Readers suggest starting with 'The Bossy One' (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C6BP3BBF) —Imagine a sunny Minnesotan Mary Poppins, employed by a grumpy Irish billionaire. The story is a blend of humor, revenge, passion, heartbreak, hope, and witty banter. As one reader put it, ‘This story had me squealing at the romantic moments and silly moments.’

In fact, she confesses to loving her fictional persona, Leslie North, more than her everyday self! Her bestselling books are known for their strong characters, particularly women who aren’t afraid to challenge an alpha bosshole. And the humor? So infectious, you’ll be laughing out loud in public!
Leslie’s love for romance began when she picked up a worn-out romance book from her local library. She started writing soon after, and as they say, the rest was history. She now resides in a cozy cottage on the British coast, enjoying long walks with her two Dalmatians, George and Fergie.
She LOVES reader feedback, and if you have any comments, don’t hesitate to contact her!
The story was good but the prince was really arrogant. He could have at least tried to see things from her side instead of just assuming that she would fall all over him like every other girl. Wasn't that the reason he chose her in the first place. The author's writing style was a bit juvenile. I read all three books in this series and it didn't improve. Her ideas were interesting but this feels like a high school writing assignment.
This book was horrible. Grammatical errors, content errors, just errors, errors, errors! I don’t think I’ve ever given a book just 2 stars but that is how bad this book was to read. Save your time and money.
An arranged marriage went wrong when a prince’s betrothed got pregnant for someone else. Her younger sister was chosen the replace her so the union between the families could go ahead. It’s an ok read but had some unrealistic parts. First of all, the prince choosing an unsuitable match who would belch loudly without evoking any negative response from him or the fact that she tried to pursue an annulment immediately after the wedding, even though she couldn’t even prevent the marriage in the first place was a bit far fetched.
Overall I’ve only liked one of the writer’s book so far so might be staying away from her other books for now.
I don't know why but I feel like the book was written by a teen since the writing style is superficial, simplistic and childish. It lacks maturity and heat. How old are you, Leslie?
The Royals of Monaco by Leslie North is a series of three novellas featuring the LeBlanc sisters and their beaus in the fictional setting of a monarch kingdom, Monaco. The characters of Macee, Liane, and Francesca were very distinct but their love for each other with the sisterly banters and disagreements were very sweet.
The stories were very one-directional where the couples featured were the centre of all. They are never guilty, only misunderstood and all is right at the end. It is all very Mills & Boons type but still very different.
The tropes presented by the author are the ones that will attract you to the series. Normal girls finding royal matches will always attract readers at least once. If I had to name my favourite book in the series, it would have to be Macee and Louis. Their book connected with the outside world the most.
I have a problem. I like one book from an author. I go in and buy too many books from the same author at once and then... I end up not liking them. Why can't I just buy books one at a time, like a sane person?
I need to remember that this writing style does not suit me.
Hmmm, I finished this author's latest book (Wired), earlier today, and it was vastly superior to this one. I can see that this was written two years, so I can say that her writing style has improved immensely since.
This novel was written almost like a fairytale and in a very simple manner. I read it to the end as I don't like to leave books unfinished.
The premise of the story is that Macee is chosen by Crown Prince Louis to be his bride after her older sister becomes pregnant with another man's child. Louis chooses her after one fleeting encounter with her.
The big problem I had with this book was that there no real depth. I had some understanding of Macee and understood her reluctance about the upheaval in her life , but Louis was completely two-dimensional and really didn't try to win Macee over. He was arrogant, overbearing, and full of his own importance. Everything about this novel was just written too simply. I just needed a whole lot more.
I have quite a few of this author's novels on my TBR but I'm planning to cull the ones written over a year ago, in the hopes that the more recent ones are of an improved quality to this one.
A nice, sweet, easy read. I liked fun loving Macee and how she was not afraid to speak her mind and then go out and have fun playing paintball. She is a gutsy girl and doesn't fall down worshipping Prince Louis. Louis is a proud man, who likes Macee's style and attitude so when the time comes he chooses her instead of Frannie to wed. He is tired of simpering perfect agreeable woman and realizes he will be bored to death with one. But just because he likes her and they get married doesn't mean it will be smooth sailing. Both will need to compromise and do adjusting. This was a fun engaging plot and very fast read.
While not a bad book, I will not be reading the rest of the series. It has a good storyline, don't get me wrong. This book in particular though, did something that made me absolutely grit my teeth. We know the hero is a Prince. It is even in the book title, we aren't going to forget that fact. It (Prince) is repetitively used within the book, to the point, that I had a very difficult time getting through it. It is completely distracting and (to me), makes me feel a lack of connection between the characters.
The only problem is that the princess is more like a frog. When the promised bide to the prince finds herself pregnant, her family must offer one of the other daughters as a substitute bride. The one girl is trained in court etiquette and would make a perfect princess. The other daughter loves to play paintball and sports. Can you guess who the prince wants to marry? Very cute story and a great cast of characters. I really enjoyed it.
This story needed plot and character development. It had great bones and it was the start or a juicy and dramatic plot line, but it just wasn't written well. It was just so flats and lacking any real depth or substantial story telling. It started great but the middle and ending was lackluster and lacked realism. So disappointing.
Another great book, filled with anticipation for a couple the families aren't exactly thrilled with for each other and a feel good ending that you wish the book was a 700 page novel.
This is the first book of a new series by Leslie North. Again, this author fails disappoint her readers. Please go on the wonderful journey that is the lovestory of Prince Louis and Macey. I guarantee you will be glad that you did. Enjoy!
What a load of absolute drivel. No plot development, the characters are shallow, and the story non existent. Like Macee, it makes me feel funny on my insides, but in my case it's nausea. the benefit is the book only takes about 2 hours to read, so you won't waste a lot of your life on it.
The book was okay. I kinda rushed through it. I felt she was a brat and he was so used to getting who he wants, that he didn't care for her feelings. So, they fight a lot. Once scandal hit, they pull together and realize their feelings.
You never know what love will bring. I thought this story was cute and passionate. The unlikely appeal of the younger, more rebellious sister was priceless. I look forward to the next story.
Okay story but not enough chemistry or affection between the main couple. It was like they were both resigned to the relationship rather than accepting of it.
God, this book was horrible. Everything was flat and one dimensional. The dialog was stilted, and a weird mix of modern and older syntax. Horrible, horrible book. Will definitely not read part 2.
