Conrad is the smartest one in the class, but definitely not the nicest.

There are two stories in this book and I enjoyed them both!
Pecking order - It started out almost as a comical. James has a phobia of birds and when they get loose in his building he faints and gets sent home. The security guard Trenton was funny with his attempts to get rid of the birds, I was disappointed his part was so small. The story takes on a darker turn and in the end justice is served.
Accident waiting to happen - I hated Conrad right from the beginning! He was such a jerk. The story is about Conrad and the accidents he causes mostly just for entertainment but sometimes to get back at people.
I thought both stories were very well written and entertaining. I read the whole thing in one sitting!
James, a handsome, young CEO has a weakness, a phobia that infects his waking dreams. When the avian infestation cannot be cleared despite the best efforts of James’ sister and devoted staff, it appears that mischief is afoot. But is this cruel fate or fowl play?
Moore has crafted a quick and quirky read that cuts like a sharp beak.
Our hero is a man with a deadly fear of birds dating back to a traumatic experience in childhood. I don't want to say too much because it would be so easy to give away the ending. It was great. Included with this story is another shorter story of a despicable man. This author can give us a well written horror story and I want to read more of her work.
This is a pair of short psychological thrillers that were rather strange. The author is a good writer, but I think the first story could have used a little more depth to the characters. I liked the second story better and would like to see if there will be sequels.
BIRDS OF PREY WAS A VERY FAST READ FOR ME. IT WAS INTENSE, SUSPENSEFUL AND SCARY AT TIMES. I CAN'T IMAGINE HAVING A PHOBIA OF BIRDS AND WHAT THAT WOULD BE LIKE. THE ENDING WAS A COMPLETE SURPRISE FOR ME.
BIRDS OF PREY IS A SHORT STORY. IT IS UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT. IT REMINDS YOU OF THE MOVIE THE BIRDS. JUDY MOORE'S WRITING IS UNIQUE AND LEAVES YOU WANTING MORE. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SUSPENSEFUL AND SCARY READ, I DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND BIRDS OF PREY.
This is a short mystery story about a man with a severe phobia. Fear of birds. Ornithophobia. James hasn’t been outside in the sun for three years and gets physically sick when he even sees a picture of a bird, let alone a real one. He’s the CEO of a major company and spent $60 million to build a private office building with an indoor atrium, his sanctuary. Too bad birds mysteriously find their way inside the building. Who brought them in, and why? James just wants the birds gone. His situation is pretty sad and I felt sorry for him. Though I guessed the culprit early on, I understood and sympathized with the bad guy’s motivation. If you like bird mysteries, this is a really interesting story to check out. 4 Stars

This was a awesome story! Poor James, because of his fear of birds he hasn't stepped into the sunlight in three years. He travels to and from work from his basement garage at his estate outside of town to the garage basement of his company headquarters. When a bird shows up in the atrium he's built at work to bring the outside in and keep birds out, it almost does him in. I really enjoyed this story and if you liked Hitchcock's The Birds, you will too!
I like books that tell a different tale, and this short story certainly does that. James hates birds. It is all due to his sister's tormenting behaviour from their youth. He tries to live a normal life, but with seeing or hearing birds. Unfortunately someone has other ideas. A quirky story with a bitter twist. Well worth a read.
If you enjoyed Hitchcock's The Birds, you will feel right at home with this fun bUT scary book. While birds are a menace in this novel, the most perplexing dilemma faced by our neurotic but sympathetic hero is trying to determine who to trust. It's a problem we all face at some time or other, but hopefully the stakes are not as high.
This short book is a fascinating work and really is interesting. It's unique, and seems like one of those short stories that famous authors start their career from. It reminded me of a Hitchcock film, at parts, and of a great Stephen King story at others. I would definitely say that this author is gonna have some big works! Keep an eye out.
I found this short fiction engrossing because I happen to know someone with a bird phobia. Several characters had motive-potential, so I was anxious to see how the conflict resolved. Great, simple ending.
