I left this book sitting on my shelf for years, unread. Then attended a non-profit organization training that recommended it. The author suggests only reading page 8 and 9, and the first and last paragraphs of each chapter -- What kind of author asks you to read a short section of her book? The trick worked -- I was so taken in by the information. And look forward to applying it with both organizations that I serve. Highly recommended for any NPO board member.

This book is fantastic if you are looking to revamp and excite a board you are working with!! It gives very practical feedback and suggestions for common issues.
