This book is really something different. Predominantly a crime/mystery/thriller, but also a romance which incorporates mystical/magical elements. That might sound messy, but it really works. The story follows Madie Bricot, a young lady who is being investigated by Detective Robert Deed, who believes she is linked to the death of six men. The men are all linked to her, yet there is no evidence that she has killed them. As the story built up, and her relationships with each man were revealed, I found myself increasingly drawn to both main characters, Madie and Robert. The author does a wonderful job of building up the tension between them, until you are at the point where you just want them to get together so much that you cannot put the book down. Alongside this strong romantic theme, runs the criminal/thriller aspect, which again, the author handles brilliantly, leading me to believe this writer could turn her hand easily to any genre. I was sucked in and desperate to know how and why these men were being killed, just as much as I was sucked into the blossoming love story. The last few chapters are particularly gripping! I am hoping there will be more from this author soon, This book really was a pleasant surprise.

Absolutely Loved this book. The use of native language to several characters threw me for a bit but then I had it down. Loved it.
Really great plot with a new outlook to it, totally awesome characters, superb twists.
I would love to ready more of her work in this line but I don't want to deal with Amazon
