When her lost slipper is found by a charming, gorgeous, secret billionaire...Lottie is more than ready for her happily ever after. That is until she finds out their families are in an all-out war.
Lottie Brown likes her life in the big city but isn't too fond of the price tag that goes along with it. So she's headed home to the small resort town of Blue Falls, Idaho to make some cash during the summer to supplement her teacher's salary. And when fate happens to seat her next to a handsome, charming, and witty cop on her plane ride, Lottie starts to feel a whole lot better about going home.
An heir to the Heathcliff billions, Leo Heathcliff gets a call that his family needs him. Even though he's told them the family business isn't for him, he puts his life as a police detective on hold to go to Blue Falls to help with their newest venture. When he meets an adorable and genuine brunette on the flight, he feels like luck might just be on his side.
When Leo and Lottie get to Blue Falls, they realize that their families are in an all-out war, both sides claiming that the other has sabotaged their businesses.
When battle lines are drawn, Leo and Lottie must decide what and who they want to fight for.
The first book in the sweet and wholesome Heathcliff Family Romances series.
I really struggled with this book. It seemed to lack any real relationship build. They fly on a plane, text a few times, and then they break-up. I found the story-line lacked depth and the characters came across flat. I felt like there was so much potential with a little mystery, and the quirky families. But I just didn't seem like there was a lot of character development. This just didn't work for me.

This was an easy reading treat! I loved the opening pages of this book. The first interactions between the two main characters was so fun and I was so excited to see where it would take them. I felt like Lottie was so full of personality. But then I feel like she sort of faded a bit. Her subsequent interactions with Leo and others didn't feel as much like she did in the beginning. I still liked her though. So sweet and kind.
The added bit of mystery was great for the forward movement of the book. I wish there were more interactions between Leo and Lottie throughout the book. I missed them (their interactions, their chemistry together) as they were apart for the majority of the book. The plot definitely took the main stage in this story.
I'm ever so interested in Lottie's rodeo brother, Brandon. I hope it's his story coming next!

I love to read billionaire stories but I especially love to read the stories where the billionaire knows they have the money but they find what they want in life and are happy. Loved this book!
This one was just ok. Not her best book. I didn't feel like the characters knew each other well enough to be all gaga over each other so soon. The texts back and forth weren't enough, in my opinion, to get to know each other. I didn't like Charlie. There were some humorous parts and some embarrassing moments. Clean. A somewhat predictable mystery. Wrapped up a little too perfectly, but it was a cute ending. I don't get the title. Is it because Leo was trying to save the hotel? I don't know that I'd read it again, but I may try the others in the series.
I am always on the lookout for a story, a series that will grab my attention and draw me in from the very first page. His to Save: Her Secret Billionaire by Julia Keanini certainly did that and more with the opening scene.
Lottie and Leo had that instant bonding that sometimes happens between strangers in an unusual circumstance. I think losing a fuzzy slipper in an airport qualifies, don’t you? Lottie endeared herself to me, and to Leo, with her nervous chatter during their airplane ride. Right then neither knew that their families had a feud going on back in Blue Falls, or that there would be misunderstandings after missed messages between them in mere days. Right then they only knew an attraction and the need to not lose that precious connection.
I adored Lottie and Leo from the start. Their instant connection is felt through the pages, and I never had a doubt that these two belonged together. The mystery that drives much of this story is complicated and intriguing. There were moments when I thought I knew it all… only to change my mind a few pages later. To say I had my suspects would be true, but also true that Ms Keanini kept me on my toes until the reveal. His to Save is chock full of interesting secondary characters, some who will get their own tales told later in this series.
I had an amazing time with this story and I’ve already picked up the next, His to Marry, so I can dive right back into this world. If you love a good romance, a bit of a mystery, feuding families and a love that can stand strong through it all… then you’d love His to Save: Her Secret Billionaire.

A funny, sweet romance with a mystery in the mix. I had to laugh at Lottie running late and wearing her bunny slippers while running to catch her plane. She loses a slipper and decides to go without it, then Lo finds it. They end up in adjoining seats and he returns her slipper. The stewardess is so weird, practically propositioning Leo who she has never met before. Lots of room for misunderstandings to occur, such as things going missing at the B&B and Lottie's mother Charlie fighting with Leo's family who run a resort nearby. I don't really care for Charlie as she is WAY to melodramatic for someone her age, especially when she goes to the farmer's market and screams at the Heathcliffs in front of everyone. Thankfully, Leo is a policeman and between him and Lottie, they figure out who the thieves are and justice is served. Finally Leo and Lottie can continue their romance and have their HEA.
Lottie and Leo were a breath of fresh air, I absolutely adored their story, their relationship,, just everything about them.
Lottie is going back home after being away for a couple years to do what she wanted. She always knew she’d come back home and be with her family and now that she’s there it’s like she never left.
After Leo left the family business to focus on a career he’s back to his family’s new resort to see if he can help it along. They’re struggling but unsure why.
When the trip starts with an embarrassing meet they sit to hit it off straight away but there’s only one problem, a problem that neither of them knew about…their families are feuding.
Watching everything play out was so much fun. I enjoyed watching them both and see everything they went through.
Earlier this year, I read the first two in Julia’s Princes of Valdoria series. I managed to get on her review team, so I received this book before it was released. It took me a little more time than usual to finish reading it, but I’m so glad I made the effort. This is a lovely romance, entwined with a great mystery. Several red herrings lead the reader off in various directions, and the budding romance between Lottie and Leo takes a beating, since their families are engaged in a bitter dispute. This is a well-written story, and I’m looking forward to Book 2!
Highly entertaining first romance story in the Heathcliff Family series. Two families are feuding as they both are struggling for the vacation business. Both families have called one of their children to help. Our two main characters meet on the flight over. She has a cute and absolutely hilarious personality. He is a police detective and becomes immediately attracted and feels he has met his soul mate. Great storyline with a little suspense and intrigue.
Lottie is a Hot Mess and I love her! The whole first scene alone had me literally laughing out loud!
“Should she turn around to grab it? She was now clad in one fuzzy slipper. If she had thought she was a sight in two of them, that didn't compare to what she looked like now. She saw her gate in the distance and made a quick decision: the slipper had to be sacrificed.”
This book was extra fun because it gave me a RomCom meets Cozy Mystery vibe. It had me sleuthing and swooning all at the same time!
This book starts out wonderfully and shows so much potential. Then it sort of fizzles out part way through before picking up steam again. It is a VERY CLEAN romance and although I would have liked a bit more heat, it was fine. There were a few twists but not surprisingly so if you pay attention to the story. I wanted to hit a couple of the characters upside the head because, seriously, use the phone and if a relationship is important to you, call more than once!
To call this a romance for me is hard. I just didn’t really feel a connection with the characters. I actually enjoyed the dynamics between the families more then I did the leads Leo and Lottie. It was a cute story and well written just felt a little flat for me. The romantic development just wasn’t there. It was more about the mystery of who was sabotaging the resorts and the dynamics between family members then anything else.
On a flight to their hometown, the “unknown billionaire” cop meets an interesting teacher and sparks fly. Each of them hiding their own secrets and each having a job to do when they arrive, they have to overcome said issues and secrets.
This was a sweet story with the all familiar no communication theme. The back story of the issues going on and how they are solved are what keep the story going.
I actually enjoyed this story. It was so sweet and a bit predictable. I still was surprised at one part. I love the mix of Cinderella/Romeo &Juliet/west side story mix in one book. The end, classic! I will say it would take more cleaning to get it off the circular sparkling thing. Still, it's romantic.
Short short review. I enjoyed Lottie and Leo meeting on the plane but was disappointed how much of what I read was focus on their families and the feud between them. It was hard to buy Lottie and Leo falling for each other when they barely spend time or talk to each other, the story felt less about their romance and more about their families.
I love how Lottie and Leo meet and instantly hit it off. I worried that this story would be cliche when their families' feud interrupts their relationship (but it didn't). There is a healthy dose of mystery surrounding the thefts - the perfect scenario for Leo the cop to solve. I can't wait to read the next in the series!
Leo and Lottie had such a funny and imperfectly perfect meet up that set the tone for the rest of the book. I read it in one go because I was having to much fun reading their ups and downs. Fun main characters and great side characters added to the appeal and have me quickly reaching to read the next in the series.
Leo and Lottie meet at an airport and share seats on the same plane. That seems normal right? Well the author starts out with the funniest dialog I have read in a long time. I was hooked by the authors cleverness in words. Grab a copy of this book and see see how love conquers all even in times of trouble.
This was a fun, clean romance in a different setting. I liked the mix of small townspeople and big resort tourists. I liked the characters and thought they were well developed, especially the ones that worked at the inn. Great book for young adults!
Great writing. All the characters were intriguing. I loved their meeting. Too hilarious. Then comedy of errors. But their relationship was enough to see them through.
I'm currently reading the box set and I liked this one enough to immediately start the next book. Cute story with misunderstandings that were actually understandable and realistic, plus believably resolved. I really liked the main characters.
I enjoyed this story. The characters were fun to get to know. There's some intrigue mixed with humor and romance. I laughed out loud at some of the dialog. I recommend this book.
A cute storyline with a little bit of mystery to it! Loved the inland his grandfather loved on! Was funny how the Chicken and More treated Leo and how it all works out in the end!
Language: G (0 swears, 0 "f"); Mature Content: PG; Violence: PG Starting with an adorable meet-cute, this book makes for a good afternoon read, but it doesn't have much substance. Somehow it ends up feeling part mystery and part romance without adding up to a whole book.
What a story!!! Besides the attraction of the main characters they seemed to create complications and nature couldn't be controlled! Highly recommended reading for adventure and love! 5 stars!!
