Starship Ass Complete Omnibus #1-3

Rate this book
With a vision of a galaxy where everyone can be friends, a naive talking donkey couldn’t have picked a worse job.

Symbiont Harry - rejected by his tribe, exiled from home, and braying at the stars - is imprisoned in the form of a donkey.

When space pirates capture his ship, they’re hoping for more than a cargo-load of livestock. Notorious Redbeard wants to space the wisecracking donkey, if only Captain Cass will let him, so Harry will have to prove his value—quickly—if he wants to stay alive.

But then everything changes. The adventure quickly escalates as the “effin’ Feds” pursue the pirates across the galaxy. Despite the danger and raising stakes, each misstep offers Harry unlikely opportunities for friendship—and another chance at redemption.

All three books of the Starship Ass trilogy in one collection:
1. Of Donkeys, Gods, and Space Pirates
2. Of Donkeys, Dogs, and Rogue Bits
3. Of Donkeys, Cogs, and Hot Bodies

Join Harry, Cass, Redbeard, and an ever-expanding zany cast on a light SF romp across the galaxy. BUY or BURROW your copy of the Starship Ass Complete Omnibus today!

Whether I’m writing self-help books, songs, or absurdist low-brow comedies, my works embody the authentic and sometimes irreverent perspectives of a person who has tried to live in two worlds at once: one of professional and technical excellence, and another of romantic abandon, in search of a world that values love over fear.

Starship Ass Complete 1-3
ETHAN FRECKLETON
Omnibus Books 1-3: A Humorous Science Fiction Adventure

Once you eliminated the improbable, whatever remained must then be impossible.”
This series has been a joyful ride, with lovely hilarious moments, and emotive scenes, action filled and thrilling surprises.
What a wonderful and relieved surprise about Harry! “Pirates don’t say yay.”I Have to remember that! Lol. Another incredible and unsuspecting adventure of the Ass team, I enjoyed reading it so much, I didn’t want it to end. I laughed, I was sad, I went through heart breaking moments, the overall has been emotional in every aspect! How can anyone resist such a story, such wonderful and adorable characters? Even the villains are comically fantastic. Frontera and Freckleton have done a magnificent job, co-writing the series. I’m very happy to know the ride doesn’t end here! I’d love to read more about them!

Aghast that this omnibus doesn't have any good reviews on my local Amazon - why? - I am putting below the reviews I put for the 3 separate books - if you want cheering up, or just to have a laugh, or like quirky sci-fi, then I recommend this omnibus to you!

1 - Action, great characters, humour, unusual ideas, and a satisfying story!
In these difficult times, it is really pleasant to read a book that is rather light-hearted, and cheers you up. And this book definitely did that for me! As a gentle introduction to a new world, that is easy to understand, this was a great read, and I now will definitely want to read more from this series!

2 - Oh, this is just brilliant! There is so much doom and gloom in the world right now, that reading this series is a highlight of my life, as it makes me laugh. Out loud sometimes, which is a bit of a shock for my husband. And trying to explain this book to him or you isn't so easy, but there are space pirates, talking donkeys, a lot of insubordination and a load of laughs. Really, you have to try it. Best to start with the first of the series, before this, but it would be funny anyway.

3 - I laughed so much that my husband thought I had gone demented. Yes, that is what this book, indeed this series, will do to you. It will cheer you up! Apart from this being the end of the series, that is.
How very clever these writers are, to make a series that are actually quite good science fiction books, but making it so hilarious without being stupid. Normally I don't like 'funny' books, but these were great. I wish there were more!!
Somehow, the idea of space pirates has become very reasonable, as it a donkey who is a pirate, a space pirate at that. I admit that when I first heard of these books, I wasn't so sure, but then lockdown happened, and I needed something lighter to read, and so I gave these a shot. How smug and self-satisfied am I that I was right, and this series was just what I needed to feel a little lighter. It was brilliant. Read these and weep with laughter!

Very Humorous! This a wonderfully fun easy to read series that will make you smile. (Probably even laugh out loud!) Great characters! I highly recommend!
Of Donkeys, Gods, and Space Pirates: The Adventures of Harold the Donkey, Book 1 - Cute! Very entertaining story about a talking donkey who inadvertently joins a space pirate crew. Great humor and an enjoyable story. Can’t wait to read the next one.
Of Donkeys, Dogs, and Rouge Bits: The Nose Of Truth, Starship Ass, book 2 - Very Entertaining! Harry and Buddy are on another wild adventure as part of Captain Cass’s pirate crew. Lots of action and fun with old and new friends. Love these characters!
Of Donkeys, Cogs, and Hot Bodies: Starship Ass, book 3 - Wonderful! Harry and Buddy are recovering from their previous adventure as the next one begins. Tons of action, adventure, new friends, and even a trip home. A truly entertaining and enjoyable tale that will keep you laughing while proving a good heart trumps everything.

Three comedies in one.

I would have made more Ass jokes. These three books are a science fiction comedy similar to the works of Randall Garrett's work. You either get the joke of a talking ass or you dont.

I’m really disappointed that these books went from entertaining to political. The characters were easy to remember, the ideas quite unique, the fun was there to be had and it began as a happy read

I would guess that these books were aimed at young adults which would explain the unnecessary swearing that would stop me reading it to a youngster, also the violence got a lot more cold, too real and thoughtless. As the books progressed the original ideas faded and the standard of proof reading diminished, possibly in an attempt to quickly capitalise on a successful first book. The reason for the much reduced stars was that, by the last book, it felt like listening to a modern political narrative. So much so that I stopped reading the 3rd book quite early on as I no longer found it fun, original or entertaining

Good series

Was not sure what to expect but decided to give it a try. So glad I did! Has pretty much everything going on to keep you interested in seeing what would happen next. Plus space pirates, soldiers, and animals which always makes things better. Enjoyed the series and hope it will continue!!

I absolutely love this entire series! It has a great deal of humor and wit. It’s well written and I enjoyed all of the characters. I sincerely hope that there will be more books in this world (universe?). I highly recommend it!

This turned out better than I was expecting. Book 2 is where it really comes into it and pulls you in. Book 3 will leave you wondering about everyone’s favorite green skin Android. Book one had its moments but was harder to get through the story compared to book 2 and 3 but I’m really glad I stuck with it.
