Galactic Inferno

Rate this book
Ally Grayson believes she's the last person on Earth after aliens arrived, bringing with them a deadly virus that wiped out most of mankind. Somehow surviving the annihilation, she hides in a Sydney house with her dog, Bonnie. She knows she has to leave before the "eyes in the sky" detect her and have her captured, but she never expects an alien to save her and Bonnie from the jaws of a ravenous, feral dog. Never expects to be drawn to Renate, the alien male who seems more human than any man she's ever known.
She fights an attraction she can't win, and soon enough she's in his arms, under his hard, amazing body. Except their unearthly desire might not be enough to keep them together when Renate's alien comrades close in.

I’m an award winning author who loves to write scorching hot contemporary and science fiction romance—stories I love to read. I love working from home, where my office window looks out over our ‘block’ of fourteen acres with gorgeous mountain views. After enjoying a stint as a foster carer for cats, I now have seven felines to entertain me, along with two dogs and two horses. But only when I’m not distracted by my three gorgeous daughters, one of whom—a teenager *shriek*—is still living at home. As for my husband…he’s still waiting for retirement.

I love this but then I have a weakness for sci-fi erotica.

Galactic Inferno is, simply put, a great solid read! I enjoyed every second of this guilty pleasure of mine! I think I am going through a alien phase and this book, combined with my insatiable sexy phase (like THAT will ever end), had it all. Renate is our alien and he is dead set on finding a human woman to mate with. After a mysterious disease decimated the females of his race, his kind set forth on a journey to find others to mate with so they wouldn’t die out completely. When they find earth they unwittingly set the same virus loose that ends up killing off the majority of humans and only leaving a few women alive.

Ally has been alone since the disease overtook the only family she had. Along with her dog Bonnie she sets out to simply survive without getting captured. When she is cornered by a pack of vicious dogs she is saved by the most unlikely of allies…the aliens she has been stealthily avoiding. Ally is immediately surprised by this particular aliens attractiveness and her bodys reaction to his presence. She’s also surprised to learn that though the disease claimed most humans, some women have survived. When told of the aliens plans to repopulate using the human woman she of course balks at the idea.

Over the course of a night Renate becomes aware of his protectiveness and unwillingness to share Ally as commanded by his race to help them repopulate. While I felt the emotional connection was incredibly fast (seriously overnight) for some reason it just didn’t bother me as much as I think it should. I mean in all reality if a alien decimated my race and then claimed to need to mate with me I’d prob run for my life. I don’t care how smoking hot he is or how big his peen is or the amazing things he could do with it…I’D RUN. But in a book..oh in a book I’d climb that ET like a jungle gym and bounce around on him like a trampoline. Ally WANTS to not like him. She even tries, though it seems half-heartedly but in the end his willingness to protect her and not share her with 3 other smoking aliens wins her over.

I really enjoyed Ally’s faithfulness to her dog Bonnie too…it really stood out (among all the sexy alien love scenes). I understood her need to keep the last thing she had of her own near her and since Bonnie was her only friend for so long, I understood her compulsion to go back to find her when they had to leave unexpectedly. The love of an animal is like no other. They will protect without question, love endlessly and are always in a good mood. Since Ally had the dog prior to the disease her devotion to her was that much stronger.

The world building could use a bit more oomph but perhaps had I read the first book, Galactic Burn, I may have felt differently. I wasn’t all that impressed with the queen, a human woman, and her 3 alien kings in this one so I prob won’t go back and read the first. I felt they were completely manipulative towards Ally and Renate and they put them in a position to fail from the start. I just didn’t like them at all. Testing someone while they are under the influence of hallucinogens is wrong…even to test Ally’s faithfulness to Renate.

Galactic Inferno is a smoking hot read that satisfied my alien craving and left me wanting more more more! I will gladly pick up the next in this series because I want to know more of this world Tescho is forming. I want to see more of the planet these beings come from and hopefully more information on the mysterious disease and it’s origins. Oh…and of course more alien sexy goodness!

I give Galactic Inferno 3.75 by Mel Tescho 3.75 stars!

I received a copy of this book for a truthful review.

Well lets see...If you are a regular reader of this blog, you know the Twinsie LOVE our erotica. Man can Mel deliver some hot and steamy erotica!!! If you are not aware, you need to become aware of her writing. This is the 3rd book I have reviewed for her. I have not been disappointed except for when the book is over because I WANT MORE!!!!!! I am sooo not joking!!!!!

So this story is continued after book 1. Ally wakes up without her memory due to the virus. She and her dog Bonnie are wondering house to house looking for food and shelter. They are also trying to hide form the ALiens because she is afraid of what will happne when they find her alive. While scavenging, she has put together some memories from before all the death and devastation. She was married and had 2 step children to love and care for. She had a job she loved and a husband she adored...right? But why does she have a feeling that something isn't being remembered correctly.

Well Bonnie and Ally run into Renate. He ends up protecting her from a bad situation. He cares for her after she is shaken up over the altercation. Alot of "I hate you banter" between her and Renate, yet, she finds herself drawn to the alien. I will admit my abso FAVORITE scene was when she was making demands of what will and will not happen between him, her and his comrades. I mean WHO negotiates when a man is naked, ready and waiting while laying in between HIS woman's thighs???? Oh yeah Ally does AND he agrees....LOL!!! Gotta love Ally for that one!!!! If you read book 1 you know that "sharing" is to be expected because both the human race and the alien races (yes plural races) are dwindling. So Renate kinda gets into big big big Alien trouble for refusing the share his woman with his comrades. I mean if 3 kings can share then a captain should definitely share...right???? Well you tell Renate that!!!

So some exciting running from the Mothership happens and then Ally gets hurt. So Renate has no choice but to go back and get help. however big big big boo boo....he forgets Ally's best friend, Bonnie. Well Ally is hurt he betrayed her by going to the aliens AND leaving Bonnie to die. Renate is also in big trouble by the kings because he is not willing to share. The kings devise a plan to see if Renate was manipulating Ally's mind or if she truly wont "share" with her other intended. That by the way was pretty naughty and fun to read!!!! Well after her "test", Ally makes a deal with the kings to go home to Earth to find her beloved dog and.....wow pretty big deal was struck and she thinks she has outsmarted the kings......*SMH* BUTTTTT WELLLL You better read to see what is up with the deal.

I cannot wait to read book 3 because it sure sounds like a good one as well......

I actually really liked this one ! It was about 90 nook pages . I liked the whole post-apocolypse feel too it and loved the dog bonnie ! surprises me how many book heroe/herione's dont have pets ! Anyways very cool setting , loved the hero and heroine they were very cute together. Also loved her memories and how they would come back to her at the most random times, felt really bad about what happened to her in her former life. Though i havent read the first book i'm guessing it's about the earth royalty turned alien queen lady, im not too broken up about that, she seemed like a real creep lol. Didnt like her mates either (the three kings) plain old rude one of em was. Sooooo 5 stars for Galatic Inferno a good quick read :)

I enjoyed the post apocalyptic world Ms. Teshco created. You really feel Ally's struggle and every memory that is revealed breaks you heart just a wee bit more.
