Rate this book
Are you looking to reduce certain PCOS symptoms by up to 60-100% while significantly boosting your fertility, but are tired of hearing the same advice over and over?
Lose weight. Excercise. Get pregnant. This seems to be the entirety of what doctors and advice articles have to say about the subject of PCOS. And yet, numerous studies have been performed on PCOS patients which could provide life-changing and sought after answers for women with PCOS, but these studies have been largely ignored, until now.

A vast amount of knowledge on PCOS has been uncovered in very recent years, and could prove to be life-changing if only women knew how to apply it.

Taking an approach unlike any other source on the subject, this book looks to the latest science on PCOS to provide information on the treatment methods outside of diet and exercise, which many of us have had preached to us repeatedly, and focuses on methods, some conventional and some outside the box, that can be used on their own or as a supplement to weight loss to maximize your chances of success.

Additionally, inside you will find resources on an important topic related to PCOS that most doctors ignore entirely: your mental health.

Explore a different kind of resource on the subject of PCOS. Inside you will discover:

How revolutionary new studies have shown a specific type of bacteria that can reduce your symptoms

The reason mental and emotional healthcare is extra important for those with PCOS

Which specific symptoms can be reduced and which can be completely reversed

The real, proven science behind achieving pregnancy with PCOS

Why some women absolutely swear by eating one type of nut

Mindset techniques that can keep you from getting frustrated or losing hope

The one hormone affecting your symptoms that you have complete control over

Even if other methods haven't worked for you in the past, be confident in knowing that you haven't exhausted all your options. You will find them in this book. If you're ready to take control of your PCOS symptoms today, simply scroll up now and click the "Buy now with 1-Click" button.

Should have been a blog post (and it wouldn’t even be a very good one)

So disappointed, this book is definitely good for someone who has been initially diagnosed with PCOS but not one who has been dealing with PCOS for 10+ years.

My disappointment started in Chapter 3 titled: “Reversing PCOS and What You Need to Know”
One of my obvious symptoms is hirsutism. And the author talks about body image to suggest that one can treat the symptom through waxing or laser therapy or choose to ignore the symptoms by embracing it. Referencing Harnaam Kaur who decided to let her hair grow out.

How is that reversing PCOS??? Hirsutism (not just facial hair) is a symptom of PCOS, so embracing it is not really how you go about reversing PCOS because you would fail to acknowledge the symptoms and reasons for not ovulating regularly. Although PCOS is not something you have caused.

Also the suggested treatments for hirsutism only are effective if you treat the underlying condition the hormonal imbalance essentially lack of ovulation.
Whether or not you are trying to get pregnant.
The treatment should be regulating ovulation in women who have PCOS.

I have done laser therapy before it was only effective when I took medication to reduce androgens in my body. Otherwise you would be wasting your money.
The author does mention that many women who have PCOS have found laser therapy to be expensive and ineffective.

So why is the author wasting our time suggesting it might work for you despite other testimonials on laser therapy.

The author does not review your diet in this book but acknowledges your diet does play a role. The author has dedicated another book to talk solely about “The PCOS Diet.”

The only thing I appreciate that the author said was that there are various treatments for PCOS, that is birth control pills is not the only treatment option (although it is often the first for medical professionals to suggest).

To suggest that PCOS can be reversed is to suggest there is a cure for PCOS but none of the research the author presented states that PCOS can be reversed or cured.

If you have PCOS and are pregnant congratulations but just know that you may have complications in your pregnancy. And even after having a child you still have PCOS and still have to manage the symptoms.

So the cure, If some of you were thinking is that all I have to do is conceive a child and I will be symptom free after 9 months of pregnancy. This is inaccurate.

But I thank the author for contributing to this diaspora.

The only thing I didn't enjoy is that it has way too much focus in fertility and pregnancy, which scared me more than it could excite me. Otherwise it is a really complete book and it gets you where it wants to: to feel confident and understand the syndrome and how to stop suffering because of it

The author has zero medical background. She literally just researched the internet and copied what she found and put it into a book. This was all information I already knew so i didnt learn a thing from reading this. It was a waste of time. Lesson learned.

Informative but it reads like a series of essays. Agree with the commenter who said that it's just a compilation of other's work/research. I got this free with Kindle points so I don't really care - skimming through this saved me a lot of time I'd have spent digging through Google.

Learn about PCOS

In this book, the author has gathered some of the latest science and writing about PCOS. She explains what it is and its symptoms. She spends a fair amount of time on the mental and emotional aspects of the syndrome. While the subtitle proclaims that you will be able to reverse PCOS, inside the author states that some symptoms and effects can be reversed but not necessarily everything. She details different ideas and techniques that either directly address the causes of PCOS or its symptoms and effects. She spends some time discussing how hormones play a factor, dedicating a chapter to insulin alone. Some later chapters address how PCOS affects fertility. At the end of the book, she has an extensive list of references. The author really has tried to take from many sources, including studies and people who are considered PCOS experts. If you suffer from this syndrome, you may very well find the information in this book to be helpful as you try to move past the difficulties it causes for you.

I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

This book was given to me for free at my request from Audiobook Boom and I provided this voluntary review in exchange.

I can honestly say that I wish I could have listened to this book when I was 15 or 16, when I was first diagnosed with PCOS and again when I was first trying to conceive at age 28. I had no idea how this syndrome would impact my life and worse, my doctors never really told me much. They gave me the combination birth control pill and sent me on my way. If I had this book back then, I would have felt a lot less anxious or depressed in my formative years and would have been way more prepared for pregnancy.

I only gave this 4 stars for performance because the narration was really great but the sound quality was not very good. There was weird feedback, some clicking of a mouse and microphone feedback that disrupted the flow for me.

I would definitely reccomend this book to others fighting for a diagnoses or have recently received a diagnoses! I pray that by the time my young daughters are old enough to be concerned that they too may have this diagnoses that there will be a cure or at least a better way to deal with all of the symptoms!

I received this book for free at my request but the opinion is of my own. I wasn’t diagnosed with pcos until my early 30s. I had already spent a few years by that point trying for a child. I do now a beautiful2 year old daughter after waiting 6 years. One of the things that helped me was changing to a natural path doctor and being on less medications I also have fibromyalgia. I did hear some new stuff and might decide to buy a paperback version so I can see certain information again. I’m definitely glad I chose to listen to this.

I was diagnosed with PCOS back in 2005 and since then I’ve been researching throughout the years, this has a lot of what I’d learned in the past and recently with a different doctor. Still nothing can help me since getting pregnant will never happen unless my husband went and checked out for him being sterile.

As a former sufferer of PCOS, I could have used this a few years back. At this point, I just wanted the information to help others like my future daughter in law who also suffers from this. This is well-organized and brings a lot of helpful information.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
