Serial Killer Support Group follows the journey of a devilishly dark and mysterious, yet highly intelligent character, Preston Blake - who collects some of the world's deadliest serial killers and brings them together in an Alcoholics Anonymous styled support group. He designs for the predators-elite to learn from each other to evolve and enhance their skills to be more efficient killers. Preston also has personal nefarious desires. He has within his sights Grace Bennet, a young, innocent church volunteer full of virtue and purity with desires to become a nun. Disturbed by the imbalance of her purity, Preston designs to enter Grace's life and take her on a wicked journey of emotional torture and violation.Unbeknown to the group of predators, they themselves are being hunted by an unstable vigilante. Detective Gabe Bastien, he himself a survivor of an attempted murder from a serial killer, is on a mission to hunt killers to deliver his own violent justice.
This could have been good if it was longer. Serial Killer Support Group follows Preston Blake, a man who is trying to form a serial killer support group. He tracks down killers and invites them to join this group in order to support each other and share skills. At the same time, Detective Gabe Bastien is hunting down serial killers and tracks one of them down.
The story was too short for this concept. The story only shows us Preston bringing onboard one serial killer and the first meeting. Detective Bastien's motives were interesting and I wish that was explored more. The last chapter with Grace was unnecessary. I wished it focused more on the support group, but I understand it was to show how Preston is also deranged. About 40 pages long, a quick read.
I won this book from Goodreads Giveaway. Thank you!
I like the concept, the book is incredibly short so there's no time to develop characters or plot. The grammar and writing are also not great. It reads more like a rough draft outline of a book rather than a final copy of a complete work.
It was two stars just for concept until the very last chapter about Grace. That made no sense to the original concept or plot and was honestly just confusing. Even though it's a short read, don't waste your time.
This premise was so exciting, I just wish it was longer. There was no time for character development or really much of a plot. Even 100 pages would have allowed for more than could be fit in 35 pages.
I’m hopeful this story will continue with this author and I’ll give it another chance.
I got this book in the giveaways. It felt like there were pieces missing and there were a couple stories going on, never really tying together. It also could've used a good editor.
