An ending that is not the end...

What the fuck was that ending?!
For most of this volume I was feeling pretty conflicted: some aspects were completely fascinating and heartbreaking, but, as a whole, I didn't quite like it. However, the last chapter and a half had to completely ruin it.
I'm usually pretty lenient when it comes to manga endings because I understand that it is very difficult to conclude a series (or even a part of a bigger series) in a satisfying manner, particularly when it has been published chapter by chapter over a long period of time, but this one just made me furious. It has to be the worst ending I've read in quite a while.
Moreover, as I'm sure most people do, I hate it when authors set up a continuation but don't follow through with writing it. At this point in time, I sincerely doubt Act 2 will ever be published (if the author even planned on ever actually writing it). And, while I would love to read it, I'm kind of doubtful as to whether it would even be able to fix this ending if it was, which has left a sour taste in my mouth.

Messy, as much as the sci-fi element is very imaginative and the art is great, the plot tries hard to be written as smart and twisty but comes off as convoluted in the end, with all the background scheming coming to a mild ending. Sometimes it feels like the chapters are stretched, a lot of "why aren't my powers activating?!?!?" in the first two thirds.

Todo estaba ok hasta la mitad más o menos. Luego muy tratado en líneas generales, con final abierto (no me gustan demasiado) y, además, hay muchos temas que me dejaron con curiosidad que me habría gustado que explicasen de manera un poco más extensa. Aún así, ha sido un buen viaje.

Una historia ambiciosa con un apartado visual increíble pero con graves problemas de narrativa y ritmo de la misma. Los personajes principales y la interacción entre ellos es genial, pero el apartado de personajes femeninos ya es un tema aparte.
