The moment Amanda Rodrigues placed her hand over his heart to break up a fight, rancher Liam Neisson knew he was in trouble. He may have watched Amanda grow up next door and run in and out of his house indulging in wild escapades with his sister, but at this year’s rodeo, he suddenly can no longer think of her as the dark-haired little orphan girl running wild. She’s now a stubborn brown-eyed beauty who needs his help.
Her best friend’s big brother…
Sure she’s crushed on Liam all her life, but can she trust him? Barrel racer Amanda recently inherited her parents’ small dream ranch years ago, and has learned to run it with little help, but when a letter arrives from an attorney saying his client has a promissory note now due, Amanda knows even her will and hard work ethic won’t be enough. Liam’s family offers to help, but his offer to buy her prized stallion raises her suspicions. What if Amanda is risking more than her heart?
Having never met an unhappy ending she couldn’t mentally “fix,” Leah Vale believes writing romance novels is the perfect job for her. A Pacific Northwest native with a B.A. in Communications from the University of Washington, she lives in Central Oregon, with a huge golden retriever who thinks he’s a lap dog. While having the chance to share her “happy endings from scratch” is a dream come true, dinner generally has to come premade from the store.

Liam’s family offers to help, but his offer to buy her prized stallion raises her suspicions. What if Amanda is risking more than her heart? This is Amanda Rodrigues and Liam Neisson's story. Before he could start out into the arena after Bill, a blur of buckskin and long dark brunette hair blasted past him, pelting him with small clods of dirt. Amanda Rodrigues. His little sister’s best friend for as long as he could remember rode her barrel racer quarter horse, Rumbles, at a full gallop toward Wild Bill. toward Wild Bill. Her pale pink western-style shirt billowed and the late morning sun sparked off her bedazzled jeans pockets as she leaned forward in the saddle. Her cream felt cowboy hat flew from her head, fully unleashing her hair in a dark flag streaming gloriously behind her. “Someone get a rope on him, the chute gate isn’t latched,” Liam Neisson shouted as he clamored over the bucking chute where bulls and broncs burst into the Pineville, Oregon, rodeo arena. He’d just sent his newest, and rowdiest, bucking horse into the chute. And Wild Bill wasn’t having it. Rebelling against the confines of the metal-railed bucking chute, the big, brown-and-white pinto gelding tossed his head repeatedly, preventing Liam’s brother Drew from getting his lasso over the horse’s head. Wild Bill took exception to the attempts, rolling his eyes and blowing out puffs of agitated breaths that misted in the crisp September morning air. Wrangling the Cowboy’s Heart by Leah Vale is a 4 star book. "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book." Leah 's Books with Tule: The Bull Rider’s Second Chance Rodeo Romeos Wrangling the Cowboy’s Heart Rodeo Romeos
‘Wrangling The Cowboy’s Heart‘, the second title in the ‘Rodeo Romeos‘ series is not only a delightful romance but a suspenseful tale as well with an unknown element causing chaos in Amanda’s life while bringing her closer to the man she’s always been attracted to… even if he was her best friend’s brother.
Liam and Amanda may have grown up on neighboring ranches and have Liam’s sister as a constant connection but recent events will have Liam looking at this woman he’s always known in a brand new light. Seems Amanda’s done some growing up and turning into quite a formidable barrel racer, rancher, and an amazing woman. Yet, someone is threatening her home, her legacy, and while Liam’s grandfather is willing to help it’s up to Amanda to decide if she wants that help. While she makes her decision there is a growing danger to her ranch as a suspicious fire starts that could have been disastrous, random damage is done to the ranch, and her much-loved horse is stolen.
I enjoyed the bantering between two people who have known each other for such a long time yet are seeing each other in a new light, for having a crush is one thing – falling in love is so much more with a happy future together at stake. The threats to Amanda’s home and property keep the story on the suspenseful side with a whole lot of romance as the mysteries are dealt with. I liked Amanda and Liam both individually and definitely together. You gotta love that “aha” moment when a guy realizes that the person who is just right for him has been right in front of him for most of their life. The secondary characters keep digging themselves deeper into my heart, and I cannot wait for the next adventure with the Neisson family to arrive. If you love a good romance, interesting characters, a bit of a mystery, and a love that can last forever when two people take a chance then you’ll want to pick up ‘Wrangling The Cowboy’s Heart‘ real soon… like right now.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from Tule Publishing. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
****I received this book from Tule for an honest review**** Amanda Rodrigues is a barrel racer and is a top-notch one at that. Living next door to the Nissen family her whole life she is now the maid of honor to her best friend’s wedding which just happens to be Liam Nissen’s sister whom she grew up with. After the last competition though she receives a letter stating that someone who she had never met or known about is now calling in full payment on a note that was taken out before her parents passed. Not wanting to act in a rush she goes to Liam’s granddad who has always helped her since her parents passed on. At the same time, Liam has seen Amanda in a whole new light. Not as the girl that was around with his little sister, but now as a woman that is catching his eye more than once throughout the day. What he does not know is that she has had feelings for him for years and has always liked the way he has filled out a pair of wranglers. After a fire on her ranch, he ends up spending more time with her, and together they are working side by side. First, she thinks it is because of his sister, then because of a horse that he wants to buy. Soon though she realizes it is more. Will they each be able to move forward with there feelings towards the other one or will they let fear hold them back. Will she be able to find the person who is holding her ranch and life hostage? All of these questions and more are and will be answered for you when you read this wonderful story. Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com
I really enjoyed Amanda and Liam’s story in Wrangling the Cowboy’s Heart by Karen Vale, book two in her Rodeo Romeos series. Liam Neisson watched Amanda Rodrigues grow up next door as she was best friends with his younger sister. At this year’s rodeo, he recognizes that the wild orphan girl has become a stubborn beauty who just might need his help, and attention; especially with her new prized stallion. After recently inheriting her parents’ small ranch, which Amanda learned to run with the help of her uncle, a letter arrives from an attorney; representing a client who has a promissory note, now due. Knowing her determination and hard work ethnic won’t be enough and in need of financial help, Amanda asks Liam’s grandfather for help. He offers a couple of ideas and has Liam take charge, checking over the ranch. Working together on the ranch, Liam and Amanda discover they share more than an interest in horses; a sizzling electricity and magnetism that fuels off the chart chemistry. This just might be the start of a wonderful relationship, working together and loving each other.
Ms. Vale wrote a wonderfully sweet story that is definitely not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sizzling chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Amanda and Liam a chance at a future together. I highly recommend Wrangling the Cowboy’s Heart to other readers.

Amanda Rodrigues grew up next to the Neisson's ranch and was best friends with Liam's younger sister. The Neisson's ranch is large and very successful. Now that her parents are gone, Amanda has inherited their ranch but there are some unexplained things happening to try and run her off and make her think about selling the ranch.
Liam Neisson was used to Amanda running around the ranch with his younger sister but now she is all grown up and he can't take his eyes off her and wants nothing more than to protect her from further pain and hurt. Amanda has crushed on Liam for many years and now she is a successful barrel racer but she won't be able to run her parent's ranch alone. Liam offers to help in any way that he can but he is not wiling to risk his heart. But, he is drawn in like a moth to a flame.
This story was well written and offered a bit of intrigue and suspense to the romantic story between Liam and Amanda. Who is behind all the problems that Amanda is experiencing on her ranch? Will they discover who it is before someone really gets hurt? If you want a good story with a happy ending, add this to to your TBR list. It won't disappoint.
This is the second book in the Rodeo Romero series and this is the story of Amanda Rodrigues and Liam Neisson and like its predecessor it is a fun read that tugs at your heartstrings in place and is just a sheer good fun read
Amanda is a barrel racer and a really good one at that and her best friend is the sister of Liam They all grew up together as she was orphaned and raised by her uncle who owns the ranch next door to Liam's family ranch. Things take a bad turn when she is handed paperwork saying the ranch is promised to someone and that they are calling it in Not wanting to lose her home she goes to talk to Liam's grandfather he offers to pay out the money owed and allow her to stay on the ranch run it and keep her animals While checking things out with Liam they come across a fire and they and his family put it out but there is much more going on soon her prize horse is stolen and things on the ranch are damaged who is trying to destroy her During this Liam and her grow closer can they admit what they are starting to mean to one another
Wrangling the Cowboy's Heart (Rodeo Romeos, #2) by Leah Vale has one of my favorite story tropes, neighbors/friends to lovers. Well I guess technically it is little sister’s friend but everyone is all grown up now in this story. Amanda is described as beautiful and fearless but who also needs wise counsel. Now she is concerned and perplexed over an unknown debt, then events happening on the small family ranch. I was pulling for her from the first, feeling like she did not deserve the troubles coming her way.
Liam is the typical cowboy wanting to ride in and help. You gotta love him. The Neisson family is supportive, making this a family romance with a small element of suspense. Not so much of rodeo story even if both Amanda and Liam have connection either with the stock operations or the racing. Most of this enjoyable story deals with Amanda’s ranch. Cowboy and Cowgirl fans will enjoy this story too.
An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I love the sexy Neisson brothers. I love me a strong, caring cowboy and ready to protect me, I mean seriously, who wouldn't!! I must confess I have the biggest crush on Liam Neeson, so yes I definitely imagined this Liam to look just like him.
We continue this next story with another Neisson brother. Liam Neisson is starting to fall hard for his sister’s best friend Amanda Rodrigues. Amanda always had a crush on Liam. Will sparks ignite? Will there will be fires lit, but I assure you it wasn't sparks from this hot connection between Liam and Amanda. Amanda is in need of help to protect her farm and animals and the only man looking to do all the watching is Liam. While keeping a close watch on Amanda their romance will move to the next level. The Neisson brothers will work together to protect Amanda and her property. The readers will enjoy some suspense, thrills and romance. Come check out the sexy Liam with his feisty Amanda.
What a breath of fresh air Leah Vale’s Rodeo Romeos series has been...with the second book in the series, Wrangling a Cowboy’s Heart, unfettered romance continues, sprinkled in with just enough tension and conflict to keep the pages turning, and with juxtaposition to the swoon worthy romance that this author is so adept writing...in such a way it fairly leaps off the page, leaving you with a smile on your heart.
I am genuinely looking forward to the continuation of the series, and am anxious to see who’s story is next...perhaps Ian...and would it be tremendous if there was romance in the cards for him with the sexy FBI agent!
This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
Amanda was Liam's little sister's best friend growing up. He has known her forever. She has grown into a beauty and is still off limits in respect of his sister. When Amanda runs into legal problems on her ranch Liam's grandfather sends him over to help. Together they work to find out who is trying to take over her ranch. The more time they spend together the more difficult it is for Liam to keep his attraction a secret. Their chemistry is hot and their playful banter is a lot of fun. I enjoyed watching their relationship develop. Good read.
Book 2 of Rodeo Romeo’s , just the name of the book Wrangling The Cowboy’s Heart made me want to read it and I was given an early copy of it in exchange for my review. I enjoyed the book the characters Amanda and Liam and the tantalizing build of their attraction. I felt such empathy for Amanda and all the things going wrong for her and felt such joy when something finally goes right. I need to tack on an extra half star for sure.
The story of Amanda and Liam. They grew up on neighbouring ranches and he is her best friends brother. Amanda has recently inherited her parent's ranch, but it seems that someone is out to get her. When Liam steps in to help and starts to spend more time with her, but can she trust him?
Looking forward to more books in this series.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a voluntary and honest review.
Amanda is taking care of her ranch with the help of her uncle after the passing of her parents. She's been a long time friend to the girl next door Caitlin and smitten with Liam her best friends brother. Liam is a hardworking rancher who breeds bucking broncs. When things start going wrong for Amanda he finds himself wanting to protect her and realizing he's cared for her for a long time. I couldn't put Amanda and Liam's story down!
This book has everything you need! Heat, Heart, Drama suspense and just enough humor to make it real! I fell in love with the angry ,sexy Alpha Cowboy and the Sweet, Sassy Tough as nails Cowgirl from the jump! Liam and Amanda work on so many levels and none of them boring! You will fall in love with them too! Now I'm hooked on this author and can't wait to read the rest of her books!
I voluntarily read a advanced reader's copy of this book for a honest opinion.
Wrangling the Cowboy's Heart by Leah Vale. A great addition to the Rodeo Romeos series A storyline that kept me intriqued from beginning to the end of the book. Can't wait to read more in this series and more by Leah Vale.
This is a great addition to this series. I loved the story line. I found it to be very intriguing and it kept me guessing until the very end. I enjoyed the characters and I loved watching their relationship build from friendship into something more. I look forward to reading more books in this series. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.
I really loved the characters, the setting and the story line. It was sweet with a twist of mystery that kept you flying through the pages. However, I feel that the ending seemed a bit sudden and rushed to completion.
I am curious about Ian and the big overall mystery and what will happen next, looking forward to more books
A sweet sort of friends to lovers romance with engaging characters and an interesting premise. More of four and a half stars for me, but I rounded up. Almost went down to four stars as I felt the ending wrapped up a little too easily. Indeed, I'm still waffling over whether I should have just given it four stars. I probably won't read any others in the series.
Grit, determination and romance drive the story about saving a ranch, finding a stolen horse, and letting the heart take wings and fly. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I really enjoyed this quick read. The characters just worked if that makes sense. You have Liam who is a fighter but is dealing with pain after the loss of his mom but still whiling to fight for those he loves. You have Amanda who has spent her whole life dealing with loss and she’s her self is fighting the unknown but will stop at nothing to protect her families legacy. The way the author keeps you guessing especially with Uncle Red makes you wonder what is going to happen next. Can I just say how much I like Ian and want to know what happens with him. This book does have adult situation but over all was a quick and fun read so well worth it.
Amanda had been crushing on Liam for years. His sister was her best friend. It took a bank note, a fire, A stallion and a very fine story to get them together
3 1/2*stars REALLY. LIAM LIVES A IF I COULD'VE, WOULD'VE, SHOULD'VE KIND OF LIFE, WHICH MAKES HIM A VERY ANGRY MAN, WHO NEEDS SOME COUNSELING. HE AND AMANDA ARE FALLING IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER. A CUTE STORY BUT REPETATIVE, MILDLY SEXUAL, ONLY HOT KISSES & LOOKS. ;D
By 50% I got already bored and except for a few nice expressions the quality of the writing has deteriorated drastically. The suspense of the "who is the bad guy" has been drawn out too long and the "build up chemistry" is low and boring. At least I got it free as a promo, so no harm done.
