Ok NO EWWW. Huge spoilers below:

THE ONLY REASON I AM GIVING THIS A ONE STAR IS BECAUSE I DONT CONDONE CHEATING. The writing is good and I love strong heroines but this did not do it for me.

YES HE IS A VICTIM BECAUSE HE DID GET DRUGGED BUT I AM A COLD HEARTED BITCH WHEN IT COMES TO CHEATING SO I DONT THINK THAT WAS A VALID EXCUSE.
I APOLOGIZE IF THIS REVIEW IS HURTFUL I AM JUST NOT A FAN OF CHEATING!

My naive mind assumes that when you are high you don't have sex with a random person who you are obviously attracted too when you are already engaged, rather you just want to eat OR PROBABLY WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH YOUR FIANCEE. What a dick, a part of me wished she went and had a threesome, and then let's see how the asshole deals with it. Drugs are not an excuse for cheating, nothing really is. It's the same with alcohol when you are drunk usually the truth comes out. Its a hard no from me, I only flipped through it out of curiosity. He did not take any steps to rectify his mistake, all he did was go to therapy and get drunk. He was not honest about his feelings to the girl he cheated on with to his fiancee( he was sexually attracted to her) and it seems like she did all the work. This was an opportunity for the girl to leave his ass and start afresh. IDK I hated it especially with the accident in the end, it liked forced her to support him. I can definitely see him cheating again.
Thankfully its fiction lol

*************Please avoid reading if you find spoilers irksome************

Does one cheat with intent when drugged without consent. Is control so easily stripped, your will evaporated and the iron bars of a committed 10 year relationship torn apart when the poison of the pleasure drug hits your veins.

He remembered nothing about that long night when so much was spoken and unveiled, she remembered his every word of love when he spoke about his soulmate, the woman that he loved as he stroked her and yet she still rode that ecstasy and he consented.

She remembered every kiss, every position they used, every touch that he forgot, that he was engaged to another woman whom he loved even as he spoke the heroine's name he forgot that love as the ecstasy hit with another woman.

Now his fiancee Heather wants to sleep without the agony of not knowing. To forgive his blank night of ecstasy,to accept his remorse for that which he has no recall off,for how can you punish the unaware.

Will the other woman Maddy's accounts of that night heal her angst.

***I updated to change rating from 3 to 4 Stars***

After engaging in conversations with the author, Sian, I have a better understanding of the situation and of the hero. Sian sincerely took our reviews to heart and is making changes to the book, specifically on the drug used and minor scene/dialogue changes. I now have more clarity that the hero would never have or even think to cheat if it wasn’t for the drug.

***I updated to correct virgin/celibacy status***

Overall Opinion: This was my first book from this author. Solid THREE STARS. Let me explain how I came from hating this book to actually really liking it. I found this book through someone I was following in GoodReads. Honestly, when I first read their review and read that there was CHEATING in this book, I was done. It’s a no for me. I even put it in my AVOID booklist. Cheating is a major trigger for me. To add fuel to the fire, in the review I read, a response the author made sounded flippant to me. This was the comment: “If I were slipped MDMA on a night out when I happened to be near a person I was sexually attracted to, I might, though.” It felt like she was excusing cheating in any form and that it was okay to be sexually attracted to someone when you are married/in a relationship.

But I have a love-hate relationship with angsty books and I could not get this book out of my mind. Though cheating is a trigger, I have read a very select few where infidelity was the theme of the book and how the couple overcomes it. I ended up doing research on whether using drugs like MDMA could make a person cheat and if it was healthy to be sexually attracted to someone when married. Personally, while I think it is fine to find other people attractive while you are in a committed relationship, I don’t think it is appropriate to have consistent sexual attraction for another person. I think that’s part of emotional cheating. While the research I found had differing conclusions, I realize I was being really biased and not giving the author a fair chance. So I decided to read the book.

Please, please, please, read the review by Raj - Raj’s Review - it was very thorough and which I was in complete agreement with. Also read the comments in Raj’s review which include a comment by Rebeka, which I also completely agree with. There are also responses by the author which gives more insight into the Hero. But in a way, I felt like the insight cast the hero in a bad light. For example, she said he had every opportunity to cheat over the years, but never did. She said he had sexual attraction to people other than his girlfriend. This was never a point of discussion in the book so including this insight made him sound like a douche. Also, not cheating in a relationship even though he could have is such a bare minimum cop out (just google bare minimum boyfriend meme). You should not celebrate that your boyfriend doesn’t cheat. Your standards are super low if your significant other does the most basic things and you consider it chivalrous or the gold standard.

Honestly, when I started to read the book, I was, guns ablazing, ready to hate it and hate the Hero. But as I read the book, I was surprised that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I could not give it four stars because of the same reason the reviewers Raj and Rebeka gave regarding the sincerity of the Hero during and after the cheating occurred. Everyone who was drugged had recollections of what happened when they were drugged. So he continually lied, even during their therapy sessions about not remembering what happened. By not being open about what happened, he stunted them from healing, which frustrated me because I felt like in the end she healed without him and decided to take him back without any support from him. Also, like Raj and Rebeka, I have a hard time believing he was unconscious and unaware when he was drugged. He was able to function by going to the elevator, going to the right room and having conversations about his fiancée with the other woman who was also drugged. It makes me wonder, what if it wasn’t another woman that was next to him that night, but it was his mother, sister, a man, or a very unattractive person. Would he still be able to have sex with that person? It just makes me believe he chose to have sex with this other woman, even though they were both drugged because he wanted to. His friend was also drugged, but he went to his room alone. It was not believable enough to me that the drugs caused the cheating. Aside from that, I did end up liking the Hero in the end.

Recommend Reading: I would recommend reading this book. The three stars were based on the Hero’s actions and how the cheating came about. But the writing was five stars and the story flowed really well. This is the second book in the series. I will read the first one and I will be reading the Hero’s side of the story when it comes out. I am also interested in reading the next one in the series to come out. Overall, by the way the author responds to reviews, she shows that she cares about her work and I look forward to reading more from her, but I will read reviews first.

Brief Summary of the Storyline: H (Harrison) and h (Heather) have been a couple for ten years. They met in high school as juniors and then started dating during senior year. Early on, Harrison starts a rock band with three other friends (Gabriel, Sebastian, and Hayden) called Cruise Control. Heather is an unofficial member of the band as Harrison, Heather, Gabriel, Sebastian, and Hayden are all best friends and really care for each other. The Chicago based band is internationally successful and famous, while Heather is an up and coming fashion designer with a clothing line called Serenity. Harrison and Heather are considered #couplegoals because they have been so in love for so long and have never had any relationship issues. In the beginning of the book, Harrison proposes to Heather during his thirtieth birthday party. All is right in the couple’s world. Harrison is working on the new album with the band and Heather is planning the wedding and running her fashion line preparing for the New York Fashion Week.

On Halloween, Heather is invited as a guest on Saturday Night Live in New York while Harrison and the band are attending a cancer event in Los Angeles. It is during this time that the cheating occurs. As the book is only from Heather’s POV, the readers do not know the details of the events of that night when it happened. After her SNL show, she tries calling Harrison, but he doesn’t answer. She finds out about the cheating when she lands in the Chicago airport the next morning and paparazzi are there and shows her pictures of Harrison naked with another woman. Heather is completely distraught and gets ahold of Harrison. Eventually, Heather and Harrison talk and she is told that the band and the woman he slept with were all poisoned by MDMA. The woman turns out to be the assistant to Cruise Control’s Manager, Madeline (Maddy) Turner. Heather understands the situation, but still feels like he cheated on her (which he did, drugged or not).

They decide to go to couple therapy, but a month into therapy and they are still in rough shape. They still live in the same apartment in Chicago, but she sleeps in the guest room. They haven’t had sex and they barely talk except in therapy. Harrison decides to drink his pain away. Heather cannot get over Harrison sleeping with someone else and continues to have nightmares of Harrison and Maddy having sex which causes sleepless nights. Harrison keeps saying he doesn’t remember anything. During this time, the press is continuously covering the scandal. Cooper offers to fire Maddy, but Heather tells him it wasn’t her fault. Maddy ends up resigning.

There is a side story that is a residual from the first book in the series regarding Gabriel and his girlfriend, Ariana. Gabriel and Ariana are back together but not everyone is happy about them, including Heather. Heather and Ariana were best friends and in the first book when Ariana left Gabriel, she left Heather and the rest of the band without saying goodbye or keeping in contact for two years. Eventually, Ariana and Heather resolve their relationship and it is Ariana (and Sebastian) who eventually helps Heather during her time of need with the Harrison cheating situation.

Heather decides to see her own therapist and she is slowly improving but breaks up with Harrison because she still cannot get over her resentment with what happened and still has nightmares. Harrison moved out of the apartment to go live with Hayden, while Heather got her own apartment. Their shared apartment is not sold, just not used by them. While Harrison continues to drink and party with Hayden watching over, Heather is being supported by Sebastian, Gabriel and Ariana.

We eventually found out that in the cancer event, Cooper Powell, Cruise Control’s manager is there with the band and so is his assistant, Madeline (Maddy) Turner. Everyone at the Cruise Control table had their wine bottles poisoned with MDMA. Ariana tells Heather that the morning after they woke up from being drugged, Helen (Cooper’s wife) found him unresponsive and had to take him to the ER. The group is trying to rush everyone to the hospital, but they can’t find Harrison. They eventually find him in his hotel room sleeping naked with Maddy, Cooper’s assistant. When Harrison wakes up, Ariana tells Heather that he was distraught and crying when he realized what he’s done. He tries to call Heather, but the group tells him she is mid-flight and they need to go to the hospital to be checked out. There is a police investigation where we found out that the MDMA was placed in the wine by some of the hotel staff who sold the pictures for millions of dollars to tabloids. The culprits are eventually caught by the police.

I think they were apart for four months. They get together during Gabriel’s thirtieth birthday party because they have been missing each other for so long. They have sex, but Heather continues to have nightmares. On her therapist’s advice, Heather decides to talk with Maddy. When Maddy agrees, she gives more details about what happened that night. Maddy describes what happens that night and the sex she had with Harrison. This is where I start to question Harrison’s sincerity. From the way Maddy describes it, it seems they were aware and conscious and felt like the drugs just heightened their experience. Read Raj’s review for more details of the sex. She also tells her how the Internet is calling her a slut for breaking up the golden couple and how her professional career has been impacted. After hearing her side of the story, Heather realizes that her nightmares and the image she had of the cheating were worse than what actually happened. She thanks Maddy and they part. That night she sleeps without nightmares and she is ready to restart completely with Harrison.

The book ends with them back together and they decide to do a television interview with Maddy to tell everyone what really happened. They end up getting married and keeping their original wedding date and having a honeymoon.

Book Cover: It wasn’t tacky or cheesy. Loved the font and use of the color blue.

Favorite Line: Nothing memorable.

Point Of View (POV): Single POV from h.

Overall Pace of Story: Good pacing - not too slow, not too fast.

Instalove: No

Age: H is 30 and h is also 30 too I think.

H (Hero) rating: ONE STAR. I could see that the H, Harrison, truly loved the h, Heather. They were together for ten years and were still lovey dovey. However, with how the cheating happened and his actions, I could not give him more than one star.

Book Boyfriend Material/OTT Alpha: He was not OTT. Because he cheated, drugged or not, I could not accept him as boyfriend material.

h (heroine) rating: ALL THE STARS! Heather was an amazing h. She wasn’t a doormat and took mature steps like trying to understand other people’s perspectives, getting help through therapy, and putting herself first when she needed to. She didn’t wallow in self pity, but turned to her trusted friends for support. She even continued to make sure Harrison was doing okay, even when they broke up. She didn’t let fame change her. I loved her and her relationships with Ariana and the other bandmates, especially Sebastian.

Angst/Sadness level: I was surprised that I did not feel sad or angsty. I think it was because I read the reviews first so I was prepared.

Push/Pull: Push from the h.

Heat level: I saw the love and passion between the H and h so I would say, one grenade level of heat.

Descriptive sex: Descriptive sex with h and H and unfortunately, descriptive sex of H and OW (OW describes scene to h at her request).

OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: OW drama - H and OW were drugged and they had sex. OM drama - h is close to bandmate and tabloid runs story that h is cheating on H with bandmate, but it isn’t true.

Sex scene with OW or OM: We are not given the scene, but the OW describes sex with H when they were drugged to h because she wanted to know all the details.

Birth Control/Condoms: I think h was on birth control since there was no talk of condoms. Unfortunately, when H and OW was drugged, there were no condoms used. OW explains that when they went to the hospital to get tested for the drug, doctors gave her a morning after pill.

Cheating: Yes, H and OW were drugged and they had sex.

Love Triangle: No

Separation: Yes, I think it was four months, but they would text from time to time.

Virgin/Celibate/Manwhore: They were both celibate during separation.  I believe h lost her virginity to H in high school, even though she did other stuff with guys before they met. I believe H slept around before he met H. They did stuff with others, but lost their virginity to each other. “Not really; I think he got head from some chick, might have fingered a couple of girls, but I was his first. Same for me; I gave my high school boyfriend head…while pretending it was Harrison, I might add!” During their relationship, they were both faithful, except, of course, the incident with the MDMA.

Possible Pet Peeves/Triggers: Cheating, in any form, is my BIGGEST pet peeves and triggers.

Plotholes: With how the cheating came about, I did not believe that the drugs caused the cheating and that we did not get the H’s POV or even his thoughts during any of the couple’s therapy sessions, I think left room for improvement in driving the plot.

Closure: Yes, HEA - they get married at the end.

Safety: 0 out of 5 for the safety gang. Drugged H sleeps with drugged OW.

ugh
I wonder if people really kiss after puking or if its just a thing authors like for their Hxhs...

POSSIBLE SPOILERS

this is a "cheated-cos-i-was-drugged" hero

unfortunately he isn't open and honest with her about what actually happened the night he cheated
he straight out tells her he can't recall much, which is weird because the other woman, who was also drugged, can pretty much recall every climax they shared

this Hxh aren't really together on page...mostly they communicate via short texts - no meaningful time at all and of course he surrounds himself with alcohol and clubs when they break up - pretty much putting himself in a position to get with someone again - weak asshole

Oh, I get to be the first to review this one. I feel special. So, I wrote this in five weeks to the day. It was intense, to say the least. I get really into the worlds and characters that I'm writing about. When you read this, just imagine living in it for five full weeks of your life.

There are epic highs and swooping lows in Harrison and Heather's story. I'm thrilled that we got to see more of Ariana and exactly how she has changed since 2018. Hopefully, people come around to her a little bit, now that she's not being as frustrating! We got to learn that the tour Ariana was on for the band's debut album was called Cards Have Been Dealt and we got to see more of the band's life in Chicago.

Oh, Sebastian. Good gravy, we discovered that his friendship with Heather is wildly inappropriate, but I also love it. I think we saw more of the other side of him, though. He was less Tour Sebastian, just screwing girls left and right. He still gets plenty of action, but we saw him mostly in context of his friendships with the band. He is fiercely loyal and kind of lovely but also still so bloody misogynistic that it hurts. People call him out on that more in this book, yet not as much as they should, though.

He uses the line that makes me gag, it's so gross. I knew I wanted him to say that line to somebody from back when I was writing The Album. I briefly considered having him say it to Lita in their book, but as I told a friend "she'd be so turned off, that they'd never have sex, and that would be the end of the book!". So, I had him text it to Heather, instead.

There were, from memory, only two flashbacks in The Wedding. Short ones, because Heather is too tired and stressed to push away the memories, anymore. Sometime around the middle of the book, I realised that I was writing something of a social commentary on perception versus reality.

This was highlighted to me when I was discussing it with my mum and she said "Elena met Gabriel's family", and I was like "um, no she didn't!". She's read The Album more times than me, so I shouldn't have questioned this knowledge and it IS written in one of the articles that she'd met his family and "there's talk of a wedding" (or something like that, ask my mum, she could quote it for you).

In my head, I knew that this was bullshit. No way did Gabriel introduce Elena to his family. He just didn't. Those articles at the end of The Album were something of the inspiration for the ones in The Wedding. I got to juxtapose those with reality of life with the band and what was really happening.

There was a naff line near the end where I basically spelt it out for anyone who didn't pick up the theme, just to make sure they got it, at the same time it's also exactly the sort of thing that character would say.

Writing this review has reminded me that I need to go back and add a conversation where it's made clear that Elena never met Gabriel's family and that article was BS. Death of the Author is fun, thank goodness for sequels where you can clear things up!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed The Wedding. Oh, and that you find any or all of the easter eggs that I left in it. :)

Loved It!!

With Cruise Control being at the top of their game this book is about their bassist Harrison Fletcher and his girlfriend Heather who have been together for ten years. Heather is now trying to prove herself as a new designer who has more to her than being a rock star’s girlfriend. All the guys are best of friends and they have always treated Heather as family since they knew each other for years before the paparazzi even heard of the guys. I loved the dirty banter between Sebastian and Heather which many times had everyone rolling in laughter.

Everything was working out perfect in Heather’s life; Harrison had proposed to her, her business was taking off like gangbusters and friends old and new were coming back into her life. What could go wrong when you have the perfect man by your side?! Oh, just wait because there is a killer surprise that just may break the perfect world of Heather’s.

This was a book that once I started I just couldn’t put down. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this rock romance series.

My girl crush on Heather York began in the first book in this series The Album. Her strong self assured attitude is definitely a bonus when you have been dating the bassist in Cruise Control, Harrison Fletcher for 10 years. But that doesn't mean Heather can't be hurt and often tries to hide that part of herself from everyone except Harrison and her BFF - Sebastian, Cruise Control's deliciously inappropriate manwhore guitarist. To those who know her best, Heather wears her heart on her sleeve and everything she thought she knew is turned upside down in this book. Sian Ceinwen does a fabulous job intertwining the lives of the band into a family, who right or wrong will do anything for each other, whether they like it or not. I have come to learn that HEA's are not easily obtained in this series but so worth the journey to get there.

This book righ here. This is exactly what I had expected from the first one. I’m glad Ms Ceinwen’s sophomore is better than her debut. I’m guessing she’s learned something from the first book, which is usually all I want from authors. I want to authors grow from book to book. It makes my reading experience better, and I’m apt to go out and buy their next book.

Can I admit that I loved this book? This book shredded me. I stayed up until 1:30 at night finishing this. It was that intense. Ms Ceinwen really grew into this book. She’s got me; hook, line and sinker. I hated reaching the end of this book. I even read all the extras at the end. I’m literally anxious about the next release.

I have a feeling I’ll be re-reading these many times. And I have a feeling the first book will grow on me. The VERY spaced out publishing dates on this series and the companion books is not working for me. Nope. I need them sooner. Much, much, MUCH sooner.

If you pick this book up, make sure to read the first one first. Grab a box of kleenex and prepare to have your heart broken. This book is heavy. I’m in love with this book.

Oh. and these are written in 3rd person. It's perfect!

Sian Ceinwen took us on waves of emotional highs and lows as we followed Cruise Control member, Harrison Fletcher and New York fashion designer, Heather Lillian York. I was totally caught up with their very public personas as mega rock star idols, but more fascinated with the way Sian unravelled their intimate, private lives which made me see them as human beings, having to deal with the pains of broken relationships and how difficult it is to foster those relationships when the ever- judgemental media intrudes into your lives and expose it for the world to see. I was thoroughly invested in each page and felt the anguish of betrayal, the hilarious teasing and the many steamy lovemaking that would have you fanning yourself throughout the book! Sian has exploded Cruise Control into the most famous rock band on the fictional stage so get lost in music and this deeply satisfying story if you are a die hard fan.

Book two in the Cruise Control series brings Heather and Harrison's story. The author takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride reading their story. She brings a cast of supporting characters to help bring the story around and keeps you interested in what happens to Hayden and Sebastian. It's well written, moves fluidly and is an entertaining read.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.

Excellent 2nd book from the Cruise Control series. Didn’t think it was possible, but even better than book one (The Album). Made me laugh AND made me cry. Couldn’t wait to see how it ended, but also, didn’t want it to end. 😁 . Like The Album, one of the VERY FEW books, I have read again, and again................. which is so unlike me, as I never thought I was a romance reader (not since my youth! ).

The Wedding, A Cruise Control Novel, Sian Ceinwen

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre: Romance,

I loved book one, The Album, and this one catches up with Gabriel and Ariana, while focusing on Heather and Harrison, and is another riveting read.

I loved that Heather and Sebastian gave Ariana a hard time when she came back. Hayden and Harrison are content in that Gabriel's happy, but Heather and Sebastian can't get past the hurt and damage she caused so easily. Heather thought they were close friends, and Ariana just dropped her, ghosted her, didn't answer her calls or texts. Plus of course they had a ringside seat to Gabriel's heartbreak and devastation. That felt so very true, the anger and loss came over very realistically. Heather, Sebastian and the Yoko convo ;-) that felt very real and I could picture it.
In the middle of Ariana's return its Harrison's birthday, and he proposes to Heather, his long time girl. They're like an institution, nothing can shake them and marriage – well its just icing on the cake. Until it isn't, something terrible happens that affects the whole band, and causes a massive, humongous rift between the two.

This kind of angst and heartbreak is what make a romance novel so special to me. I love this kind of plot, where someone does something totally unexpected, and that causes issues. Very big issues, and I was sucked in to the drama, the unhappiness, the problems, the heartache that befell them all. In the midst of all this poor Heather is running her new and incredibly successful fashion line.
I loved this story, loved that the problems set in quite early which left lots of time to explore them thoroughly, see what could work, what would work, what and who is behind the issues, and whether given time they could be overcome. For a while, even though this is book-land and its going to be a HEA, I really felt that it was possible that actually Love couldn't conquer all, that perhaps some things are just too devastating to get past, to forget.

Its handled wonderfully, and the solutions are not quick fix, instant everything's OK now, type answers. That we see them working so hard, and yet still there are problems. Real life is like that, there are no magic fixes, its a slog getting past something like this and not everyone can do it.
I especially liked that when things are finally resolved, there's another person that got caught in the crossfire and had their life turned upside down, but they weren't forgotten, they were helped to resolution too.
I can just imagine how vicious the fans were, in this day of instant tweets and posts things spread like wildfire, and some folk hide behind anonymity to say the most appalling, cruel things. We – and I'm one – often blame the media for the intrusion in people's lives, but if we -as the public- didn't buy the papers and magazines, didn't salivate over the photos, there wouldn't be a demand for them. Its a two pronged fault, the papers and media for chasing and intruding, but the general public for creating the demand.

Stars: Five, a wonderful follow up and I can't wait for the next book.

I liked the book but some important things for me were missing.the book is about cheating.in this case the H and h love each other very much and you can feel through the pages their solid relationship and how much the H adores h . That is why it is so difficult to understand how he could cheat on her .yes the main reason he had drugs in his system and the author tried to make it feel like he had no understanding anymore what is right and wrong.so sleeping with OW was in his mind ok and the h wouldn’t mind .

That difficult to understand,we don’t get the thoughts of the H and what’s difficult to understand that he gets horny because of someone else.he has a sex marathon in the hotel room knowing it is not h .

The other difficult thing to understand is his behavior after the cheating,I love it when the H grovels in the book and does everything to get the h back .in this book he just gives up doesn’t talk about the night and understands it when the h wants to end the relationship.I didn’t like that at all .everything had to come from the h .

I loved the h ,she did everything right and I loved it that she didn’t forgive him in the beginning.

Hopefully a book with the H POV will make me like the H more ...

So I dove right into book 2 and loved every minute of it. Book 1 gave you all the feels and then some, well Book 2 also delivered with all the feels and then some and some more!

Ari and Gabe are my number 1 couple in this magnificent series but i have to say Heather and Harrison come a very close 2nd!

The story is beautifully written and takes you on an amazing and at times heart wrenching journey with Heather and Harrison and the rest of the Cruise Control gang.

Really looking forward to book 3 and Seb's story, fingers crossed the wait isn't to long.

Highly recommend the series, I would suggest you read 'The Album' first before diving into 'The Wedding'.

The Wedding by Sian Ceinwen is the second book in the Cruise Control series. And this one was a bit tougher read due to the events and obstacles in the lovestory of Heather snd Harrison. The road to forever can be rocky and turbulent ... add in the fact that its the livestock of a Rockstar and his fashion designer fiance and you have the trauma of it all being in the public spotlight and the food for the gossips. I definitely went on 5ge emotional Rollercoaster ride with these characters as they navigated their way through, hurting and finding comfort, and hoping for a happily ever after. I really enjoyed the story and characters, and can not wait to dive into the next book when it releases.

This book was excellent, I finished reading it in one day because I couldn’t put it down. Harrison is the sexy rock star god who’s been with his high school sweetheart for ten years. Now their future brighter then ever because Heather is a successful designer and he’s proposed. They’re so in love and all the issues with friends and wedding plans are falling into place and then the scandal happens. I don’t want to spoil it by telling anyone what’s going to happen but like any good love story it’s the ride that counts. This story has love, hate, a crime and a wonderful ending that had me up and reading at 1:30 AM Well worth the bloodshot eyes, I recommend this book highly.

This book brings a new couple to the front while picking up where the first one left off. A couple who have been together for a number of years finally move forward with an engagement. They are happy and looking to the future. When one of them makes a major mistake, can the other forgive and move forward with all the plans. A former friend, who broke the heart of good friend, comes back wanting to make amends. Will they make up and go back to the way things were before? The book is a wonderfully well written book that flows effortlessly. It is a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

OMG – what a great read. This was so worth falling asleep at 2:30 in the morning just so I could finish it! The characters are so relatable and it was very easy to feel all the emotions that Harrison and Heather were feeling with all they have gone through.

10 years is a long time to be in a relationship with a rock star. You’ve never worried about your partner cheating on you and knew they loved you no matter what. But what happens when you’re finally engaged and the rock star is drugged and he sleeps with another woman? I can see where Heather was coming from by not being able to forgive Harrison for sleeping with another woman – even though he was a victim. But I was also mad because while she was in therapy, it seemed like she really didn’t want to forgive him. Luckily, love wins out and there is a HEA for Heather and Harrison.

This is the kind of book that if you love being sucked into all the drama, heartache, passion, problems, unhappiness, happiness, then this is the book for you.

I will definitely go back and read the 1st book just because this book has drawn me in. I cannot wait to see if any other books are written about Sebastian and Hayden.

We find out in book one that Heather and Harrison are high school sweeties. What truly brings them together is their height and you find out how badly heather used to get bullied. At six-feet-tall she had been teased about her height, never having any friends.

So, when Gabe’s new girlfriend, Ariana joins them on tour and they mesh so well they become fast friends. Everyone, including Gabe himself, never realizes that Ari being so much younger is trying to cope with all that is being thrown at her and what comes with the touring, lifestyle, fans, women, paparazzi, and so on. But she did explain to Gabe about her extreme fear of being in photos in front of everyone for press it is a phobia.

So, when it became too much for her, she bails. Did she do it wrong, yes? Did she have to at the time? So she thought, at the time, yes. What no one understands is when you are in a manic state until you seek help for your phobia you can’t identify the cause of the problem. She has. Now, two years later she is back better than ever. She and Gabe are going to try again.

Here is where I have a problem. Heather in the last book I loved she was sweet and helpful. The Heather in this book, I am just now feeling so much. She is acting bitchy, rude, and like a mean girl. Not even asking Ari what went wrong. To me, she’s being the bully that treated her wrong in high school. Fame had seemingly changed her. Sebastian has fueled her fire which doesn’t surprise me. Harrison tries to be Switzerland. Not working.

Then, Heather sees life from Ari’s side of the fence when tragedy befalls the band engulfing her up in the paparazzi storm. Life becomes scary to the point of needing bodyguards. Guess who comes to comfort and be her friend? Right! Ari. The mean girl has a decision to make change the situation or live life alone.

Heather is able to turn things around. I love the way Sian had the ability to have me really hating this bully Heather who I loved and felt for in the last book and then hating and then liking by the end of this book. Do I like the way she did Harrison? No, because she did worse than Ari ever did to Gabe. Sian changes this pin cushion caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly before my eyes. So, that is something.

Sebastian has turned into a human being with a big heart and a lot of love for the people who are his chosen family to him.

This is the story of Harrison James Fletcher bass player for the group Cruise Control and his long time girlfriend who he meet in high school and have been together every since their senior year of high school as a couple. She has actually been like a member of the group which consists of Gabriel, Sebastian and Hayden and of course her boyfriend Harrison. Harrison parents live in the city, Chicago. where this story takes place, they are Sarah and Robert Fletcher.
Heather York's family consisted of her mother Lillian and her brother Jake and his wife Chloe and her father who had passed recently. When the story opens basically they are going to a birthday party for Harrison, where their friends were going to be there. What is the big elephant in the room is that Gabriel has gotten back together with his girlfriend Ariana, which the more you read it this story was in the first story the Album, which I had not read but I will have to read because it will put everything together for me. I don't think not reading that first affected this story. This story is how Harrison and Heather have been together so long you will think nothing can break them up but life happens because they are famous people at least the band is Cruise Control and Heather has her own line of clothing called Serenity. Harrison asks Heather to marry him at his birthday party and then the story begins with Cruise Control writing an album. Heather having her line of clothing featured at fashion week in New York. The group Cruise Control writing an album and their friend and Gabriel's girlfriend coming back. This all becomes a perfect storm to mess with the wedding of Heather and Harrison. Does this wedding take place or will these two soulmates love each other from afar. I would really recommend this story and actually I would like to see another book in this series, about what happens with Gabriel and Ariana and if Sebastian and Hayden every find their true love. Now I have to read the first book but I think it will be worth me buying it. Read this story it is good reading.

This books takes up after the events in The Album and the FMC Heather has to deal with not only the fact her life is changing with a new fashion show, plan a wedding (finally) to the man she's loved almost her whole LIFE, Harrison, and now deal with her ex-female-best-friend, Ariana, coming back into her life.

But when something big and unexpectedly traumatic happens (I can't spoilt it) it leaves every aspect of Heather's life up in turmoil. Every choice, every person in her life will be impacted and she's so lucky to have her closest friends who are also the biggest rock band in the world - Cruise Control - supporting her to overcome the obstacles.

One of my favourite things is the hilarious friendship Heather has with her fiancé, Harrison's, Best mate and fellow band member Sebastian. This non-couple are so used to having society make comment about their friendship dynamic they just go with it. It's an inside joke that just keeps going. It makes for some hilarious banter that even Harrison is comfortable with. It's perfect!

I really love some of the wider themes that are dealt with in this story. Society and crisisms put on women, the loss of trust, overcoming hurts, healthy and unhealthy coping mechanisms and trusting people who love you to be there for you when you need them most.

I really enjoyed this book. The Wedding is funny, amusing, with hints of comedy gold whilst also making you feel things. Like really feel them. It does have a HEA but it's going to hurt getting there. You will enjoy when the author stabs you in the heart with her pen then somehow heals it with that blood red ink. So good! I can't wait for the next book.

I was one of the lucky ones to get my hands on an ARC from the Author...

So Heartfelt and Loving Story

Okay, this book hurt to read at some points and I imagine Harrison’s perspective of this book is going to kill me when I read it. Heather and Harrison’s story is amazing though. Reminds me of the saying without the rain there would be no rainbows.
So good. Now off to book three.

After having read book one of this series, i very much found that i needed to read book two and have also managed to read this book within a day.

The book follows the couple that have been together for ten years and are very much still in love. However true love never runs smooth and a doozy is presented to them which tests their love, loyalty to each other and their trust. Yes there is a very rocky path, where Heather struggles to overcome the hurt that has shaken her completely after Harrison and the band have been targeted for exploitation.

We see how Heather reacts to Ariana being back in their lives and how badly she reacts and refuses to talk to her and Harrison trying to get her to be nice.

We see Heather finally making more friends and more of the silly platonic love that she and Sebastian share and of course the way that Heather and Ariana finally get to be best friends again.

I am really looking forward to reading Haydon and Ally's story along with Sebastian as it will certainly take something for the very caring man, that hides behind a visage to finally change his womanising ways.

We return to the boys of Cruise Control in this second instalment of the series.

Heather and Harrison have been together for ten years, long before the band were famous. Heather is the one constant in all of their lives. She is loyal and passionate.

Harrison proposes to her very early on in the story and we follow the months leading up to the wedding. During this time Heather is working incredibly hard on making a name for herself in the fashion world. So we see her in the lead up to her first fashion show and the stress that comes along with it.

After the falling out with Ariana in the last novel we revisit their friendship and see if it can be repaired. However that is not the only relationship that needs repairing.

I may love this book more than the first. The ‘realness’ of the characters, even in an unreal environment, is great and the strength and vulnerability of all the characters really make this story shine.

Spoilers ahead!!!!

Meh. This one was just ok. There's cheating, although the H was drugged, so his actions were likely beyond his control. There were some inconsistencies: the main one I had trouble with was that in one place, the author said the group was given Rohypnol and another time she said MDMA. Those drugs behave so differently, and it seems like that would impact the behavior of the affected parties. Some details are not as important, but since the main event pivots around some folks being drugged including the H, the distinction seems significant. That kind of plot-dependent detail inconsistency feels lazy and disappointing to me as a reader.

I also just didn't really like any of the characters. The h was definitely way too flirty with Seb. I was so grossed out by their weirdly flaunted flirting that I absolutely did not want to read the next book. Enough already!

I wonder if I'm just too damn old for this book.

“The Road is Long, With Many a Winding Turns,” from The Hollies
At least, that’s one of the first thoughts I had when I was reading THE WEDDING. The path the characters take in this story isn’t all neat and tied up with a bow. Just like real life.
I am amazed when I read this author's work as to how she can write so vividly and with such emotion. It keeps me coming back for more, that’s for sure.
I only needed one box of tissues for this book. The laughter was kept to a minimum in this story. The raw emotion was, on a scale of 1 to 10, running about 12 ½. There was a bit of steam but it was not the overriding factor in this story. Yes, it played a significant part in the plot…well…it’s probably better to read the book rather than having me tell you all the best parts of the book here.
It really is worth the time.

We return to the boys of Cruise Control in this second instalment of the series.

Harrison is the sexy rock star god who's been with his high school sweetheart Heather for ten years. They're still very much in love, and plans for their wedding are falling into place, then the scandal happens.

I enjoyed 'The Album', the first instalment of the series and this sequel doesn't disappoint, it is also an appealing, well-written romance containing all the emotion that involves. It ties in well to the original story. The language is simple, and the story is engaging.

A page turner that deals with two relationships that need help with Heather as the constant in both. Her broken friendship with Ariana who has now returned and a serious test of her love for Harrison.
The confrontation with Ariana finally happened though long overdue and finally dealt with the issues left over from the first book. BUT the situation with Harrison is way more difficult to process and leaves you reading and hoping.
Great continuation but can't wait for Sebastian's turn......definitely won't be boring.
