Atner: Part One

Rate this book
Andrew Ducat doesn’t breathe like most people. That's why the Puget Sound, and the waters surrounding his childhood home, were so appealing. With one breath of air, he could forget his ongoing nightmares and explore the sea. The ocean was more than a body of water; it was home.

Until recently, Andrew had managed to keep his gift of breathing water a secret, but when he discovers his connection to an old lighthouse mystery, danger begins to emerge. Andrew’s journey takes him to the deep world where fish communicate through tremors, waves defy gravity, and slithering tails come too close for comfort. He begins to question who he really is and how he will keep the truth from the one he loves the most.

This is part one of a debut novel by A.M. Sasse.

"There was only one place I had seen a tail like that, and it wasn't attached to any fish of this world. No, this fin was part of a creature with shoulders, whose eyes burned bright as molten lava. A serpent whose claw-tipped webbed fingers were sharp as daggers. A being with intelligence, who communicated with a series of clicks within its speech. It was a creature I had though existed only in the dark vaults of my imagination. This was my nightmare, and it had found me thirty feet under in a secluded cove of Puget Sound." Ummmm ... WOW!!!! Seriously amazing. It was suspenseful, gripping and left me wanting more!
