Her brother and sister think that the word games are just for big kids, but Margo Pargo is about to show them how big she really is.
Join Margo Pargo as she explores some fun and rhyming three letter word combinations. Could this really be the beginning of independent reading for this feisty youngster? Join her and you'll see.
Lovely children's book with illustrations. Margo Pargo has a secret skill and she discovers it as she plays Letter Rumble with her siblings. Easy and very interesting way to learn English spellings.
I really enjoyed going through this magical book. The story is motivating and real. The author clearly explains how children graduate to the next level of reading. Illustration is very good too. My daughter enjoyed listening to the story. At present she is also discovering how to read new words independently.
This is a story about Margo Pargo, the girl with secret skills. Margo knows her ABCs. In school and that each letter has both a names she learned that each letter has a sound. She also knows that you get words when you put those sounds together. Margo likes to play word games.but brother and sister think that the word games are just for big kids. This is a great interactive Children’s book that tells the “secret” to reading. First identify letters, then the sounds they make and finally putting them together. This book would be great for children just learning the concept of reading. The activity of rhyming is fun and the book is interactive giving parents ideas about helping their children to read. In addition the emphasis on family night and fun games together is what families need. The book itself is beautifully illustrated and is sure to engage children’s interest and creativity. The narrative is age appropriate. It is a book worth having in your children’s library.

This is a cute little picture book about a little girl who feels excluded when her older siblings are playing a spelling game. When she approaches the game table, she discovers that she can read simple words. The entire family gets excited by this prospect and gives her more words to sound out. After a while, her brother feels a little short-changed, but it all gets resolved nicely, of course. The last couple of pages in the book encourage your early reading child to read some simple words. All in all, I thought this was a sweet little book that would be nice for children who are just starting to read.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
