“This is too much, and I-I don’t deserve it.” Having no choice, I pulled out the jeweler’s box and peeked inside. “Oh …” My lips trembled. “It’s beyond gorgeous. I-I can’t―”

Kristen Dorman is tired of dating players. She’s said goodbye to her wild days and raised her expectations, setting her sights on respectable men. The marrying kind. But does Kristen believe she truly deserves happiness and the stability of a loving relationship?

After enduring three years of sleepless nights and haunting nightmares, Dr. Vince Parker needs a fresh start. He’s moved across the country to re-establish his career and make new friends. Vince is known as the fun, all-around nice guy, and no one notices the broken man behind the façade.

When Kristen becomes involved in a bizarre accident in a popular bar, Vince rushes to her side. She’s fallen hard for the good-looking doctor, and it seems the feeling is mutual. Will their love be enough to free them from the sins of their past?

Ricki Dagosta, Author of Contemporary Romance

Ricki has been a fan of romantic fiction since her teen years. As a reader, she often found it difficult to let go of the characters and often imagined writing additional scenes.

In what will become her four-book series, The Ties that Bind, Ricki allows her characters to experience life and love, along with all the trials, heartbreaks and joys that accompany them. Prepare to revisit these heroines and heroes in subsequent stories. She adds a dose of humor to lighten the journey as these couples search for true happiness and finally, peace within themselves.

As a former Minnesotan, Ricki set her first book A New Beginning and her second book Only in My Dreams in a Minneapolis suburb. Her third book will take place in Atlanta Georgia, where she now lives with her husband, close to their three grown children and their families.

Ricki and her husband enjoy Las Vegas and an occasional getaway down the road to the tranquil Georgia mountains.

Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well.
I'm not going to go into detail, no spoilers, just read the book if you are even mildly intrigued by the blurb. You'll thank me later!

The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting. Add in drama and passion and you have a good read.

This is a well written second chance romance with strong characters and an intriguing story line. This is the second book in the series and brings Kristen and Vince's story. The author does a beautiful job showing the depth of emotions coming from both of them. She does a fantastic job painting her scenes in vivid detail and moving the story fluidly. I was glued to the pages reading their story. Highly recommend .

This book spans Kristen and Vince meeting and then through their courtship which is rife with highs and lows as well as laughs and sadness. They are the perfect match for each other, however there are times that neither Kristen and Vince are honest with each other or get where the other is coming from and that comes to a head when they stumble upon an accident and the strength of their love is truly tested. This is definitely a book you get sucked into and not put it down until the end.

The second book in The Ties that Bind series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Kristen Dorman and Dr. Vince Parker are two broken people who will go through a lot before they can move on with their future. I enjoyed seeing this story come together for them and seeing how much support their friends give them. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the 1st book I've read written by Ricki Dagosta; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

Most people my age can relate to Kristen and root for her throughout this “can’t put down” book. We’ve all made mistakes and the lucky ones are given a chance to clean up our acts. When she meets the man of her dreams, it seems too good to be true; and unfortunately it is. Is Vince really the man Kristen has been dreaming of, or will she end up with a shattered heart once again? I had to keep turning the pages so I could see how this turns out! I loved Vince, then hated him, felt sorry for him and wanted to strangle him, but not necessarily in that order! Read this book. You will not be disappointed! You don’t have to read her books in order, but you’ll want to mark her as an author to follow so you won’t miss any!
