It’s the tragic story of how heaven on earth became heaven and earth. It’s the redemptive story of God’s mission to reunite those two domains once again. In this twelve-week study guide, The Bible Project lays out a blueprint for scripture that will forever change the way you read God’s word and understand Jesus’s work in the world.

This book is really quality, enjoyable, and hits on so many things I've been trying to more fully wrap my mind around. My only contention with it was that it may have been a little too short. Especially early on, there were a couple of things that I felt could have been expanded upon. I get that this is supposed to be fairly short, but on topics that are debated such as the image of God and others, there simply could have been a bit more reason behind the understanding, to add to the cohesiveness of the flow of logic. That said, there wasn't anything I felt was wrong or didn't understand! Combining this with The Unseen Realm has made for an incredible peek at the Biblical view of heaven and the supernatural. I would recommend this to nearly anyone.
"There is not even one passage in the Bible that talks about 'going to heaven' after you die. The phrase 'go to heaven' doesn’t appear anywhere in the Old or New Testaments in relation to death. Not once. This doesn’t mean the Bible has nothing to say about what happens to God’s people after they die. It just means that 'going to heaven' isn’t the way biblical authors thought about it."
"The end of the biblical story is really a new beginning."
Tim and Jon at it againnn, everyone should read this frfr. it's only a little over 100 pages and FREE online
This is a very nice, condensed but educationally packed study of Genesis, cross-referenced with Exodus, Psalms, Isaiah, and other Biblical books that has been covered in their online classes. The book also looks into garden imagery in connection to temple theology, Messiahship, and the unification of heaven and earth, among other things. It's so done well, and it includes reflections or discussion prompts to help you go in-depth with each topic. BibleProject's incredible work and research is instrumental in my greater appreciation of the Hebrew Bible and for my deeper love for Yaweh, who only wished to make His dwelling with us and desires a relationship with us, for Him to be our God, and for us to be His people.
