Jake Ellison has been an award-winning journalist in the Northwest for more than 25 years. He is currently a science writer for UW News at the University of Washington. He was an editor and writer at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer print edition for ten years, science writer and marijuana blogger for five at Hearst Media. He has won many journalism awards for his writing. Since graduating from the University of Montana's creative writing program, he has completed numerous novel and short stories.

The plot and pacing of this novel are really good. Ellison clearly knows Seattle, and he is clearly versed in the ideas, and danger, of Artificial General Intelligence. The book is well worth a read!
