So much bad...
Didn't finish this, I'll admit it right out of the gate. The only reason I even took a chance and spent 5 bucks on less than 80 pages is because the sample was mildly interesting and it has good reviews. Now I wish I had my money back and I wonder if those reviews were all friends/family or maybe 12 year olds. There was so much bad about this. Not the worst thing I've ever read, but it's kinda close.
Dub-con. At BEST this is dub-con. Period and underlined. Layne had no clue about ANYTHING besides getting to kiss a long time crush and Nash bites him. He's not even sorry he did it. He's just like " I ruined MY life. You're my mate and I'm a panther and now I'm going to get you pregnant. Rawr." No. Honestly, hot or not if I was layne I would have kicked Nash in the balls and shot him if he ever came at me again. I've read dub-con that amazingly turned into sweet romance. No way that could happen here. The author didn't even try to make it a real romance.
Nash wasn't even real. He had so little dimension he may as well have been a magazine cutout. He was hot. He carried misplaced guilt from the army. That's it. Oh! His favorite color is dark green or blue like layne's eyes. Seriously with this crap? Layne doesn't even KNOW nash, he had a crush on him in high school and since then they've talked like 4 times (and Nash stares at him alot) and he loves him somehow? It not even an "insta-love" situation. Nash even admitted that if layne didn't have the mark he probably wouldn't have looked twice. Wtf? These are 2 people with nothing between them except MAYBE sexual chemistry and it barely seemed like they had that.
The subplots. Seriously?! Pick one. Or neither. If you are writing a novella focus on the MCs maybe? Give them more depth that a sheet of paper and THEN figure out your subplot. And what about layne's parents? MAybe they show back up after I stopped reading but still they just kinda dropped off the map.
Pretty much everything was wrong with this novella. I REALLY wish I didn't drop 5.50 on it. This is probably in the top 3 worst stories I've ever read. If you just want subplot and don't care if your romantic leads consent of even like each other then this is definitely the book for you.

This book was fantastic. The world building was enthralling and the characters were very engaging. Layne and Nash were entertaining and just perfect for each other. I loved the aspect of the panther shifters and their mates having a birthmark (panthera mark) that signifies that they are the mate of a panther and can get pregnant. The story had me on the edge of my seat and the plot was compelling. I'd definitely recommend this book. I absolutely loved it. :D

Nash felt lost and he found what's missing on Layne. But first, they have to overcome the problem from Nash's past in order to find their happily ever after.
It's so entertaining and funny at some parts. I hope Stanton will find his true love after what he's been through. I can't wait for his story and who will be his love interest.

Interesante lo de las parejas aunque no me convenció mucho el inicio, de años de no interesarle el muchacho y de repente regresa ve la marca y pum se obsesiona... pero con la mente muy abierta a eso es entretenida y linda la historia.
