A roller coaster ride second chance…

And it really was a wild ride through an emotional wheel that never stopped spinning. Josie and Oliver’s relationship had begun years ago when their professional rivalry soon became a partnership in and out of the news room. Years later they faced off again but this time, the stakes were higher and they had to decide what they really meant to each other…

This was no slow burn or ease-you-into it kind of story. From the opening pages, Josie and Oliver were going to push each other to their limits as they dealt with their shared past. If that wasn’t enough to deal with they each faced individual challenges that were either going to break them, and their relationship, or define what their future would hold. Beliefs they held tight were going to be tested and blown apart as life-changing events were faced. With family and friends holding them up when they needed it, I couldn’t get enough as each chapter brought a new phase, a new obstacle to overcome.

This story was twice the length of a usual read and packed double the wallop to my heart.

Be prepared to laugh, cry, gasp and swear! Blindsided is an inspiring, witty, sexy as hell tear - jerker of a book that tells us the story of feisty New York journalist Josie and her ‘one that got away’ Oliver.
The storyline held me captive from the start. My heart almost pounded out of my chest as the pair experienced a harrowing terrorist attack in London. It was this ordeal that pushed them together after a decade of bitterness.
Returning to New York together they have no idea what is in store for them. A devastating medical emergency threatens to end their reunion before it has properly begun but love, devotion, determination, lots of humour and sheer survival shine through in this beautifully written story.
Juliet Braddock has written amazing characters that will stay with me for a long time.
Highly recommended!

I have been patiently (sometimes not so patiently) waiting for Juliet Braddock's next book after reading 'Smitten' so when 'Blindsided' popped up I jumped on it.

This was such an inspirational read that many highs and lows, along with plenty of emotion. If you have read Juliet Braddock in the past, you will know that her books are usually highly erotic but 'Blindsided' is different. It still has its erotic moments but the focus is very much on the journey that these characters take.

Josie and Oliver are both reporters who have worked together in the past and been together in the past. They are both working in London when they are set up on a blind date with each other. Old wounds reopened but a chance of healing is offered to them. Over the course of this book a number of events take place that force them both to consider what is important. The biggest of these is what happens to Josie's sight. I am in awe of Josie's strength, courage and determination as fights the biggest battle of her life. She has Oliver right by her side to support her and love her. Oliver, though, has his own demons to face but equally has Josie right by his side to support and love him. Her strength gives him strength and his strength gives her strength.

The surrounding cast of characters all play a role in their journey together. There were a couple of nasty characters whose job it should have been to encourage and support but they chose instead to be negative and condescending. If they wanted to knock Josie down they had the opposite effect, adding to her determination to come out the other end. There are so many other characters that I want to mention but I will leave you to discover and feel their warmth for Josie and Oliver.

A truly inspirational read that demonstrates that anything is possible if you want it bad enough. The tremendous strength, courage and determination that Josie shows is how I aspire to face challenges in my own life. You can tell that Juliet Braddock has put her heart and soul into this book and shows in every word and in every character. I came away from this feeling a warmth that flowed through me along with a few tissues lighter. This is the first book I have read this year that I really wish I could give more than 5 stars. Incredible read by an incredible author.

OMG....this was an outstanding read that took your emotions and tossed them around like a rag-doll being played with by a dog! Emotions will definitely run high with this book, but once that first shoe drops, you keep waiting--- just knowing that the second shoe will drop and expect your heart to be completely ripped out. It was the wait that gets you, ever single time with these two! You read the pages expecting the next turn to bring you to your knees. I LOVED THIS BOOK!

The characters were very well written and quite complex and charming in their own way. There were plenty of times that I wanted to bash one or both of them over the head, but they always managed to redeem themselves in my eyes by the next couple of pages. Yes, they both had their issues and eventually they managed to work those out...together! The supporting characters where amazingly written and quite lovely and supportive of these two. With Josie...her reaction to some of those supporting characters were the funniest there were. Especially with one particular doctor and one particular social worker! She spoke her mind and didn't care what anyone thought! Yes..she was her mother's daughter.

To be able to pick which part of this book was my absolute favorite is hard to do, but I think it would have to involve a dog! And I leave it at that.

I loved these two, I loved their story and I am so glad that I took this journey with them. I cannot recommend this book highly enough!

I have to say I was really looking forward to reading this book. Knowing the premise of the story made it even more anticipatory for me.

The trials and tribulations that happen to Josie are harder than some people can bear. I have read books before where the same kind of challenge occurs. I can honestly say, hand on heart I have never read a book where it seems so realistic and true.

Josie has to adapt to a lot of changes, hurdles, and barriers. The way she goes about it touched me in a way I still find hard to put into words.

Journalists are in a different league, Oliver especially comes across as determined. When it comes to his relationship with Josie, Oliver is determined. Nothing is rushed. How could it be? These things take time and huge amounts of care and consideration.

This author is a genius at spinning story-driven books, she knows when to be soft and when to be hard. Never treading gently for safety's sake. I found myself drowning in the words. Desperate to discover what would come next. How could this be resolved? How could they overcome that?

I have a huge amount of respect for this author. She deserves huge amounts of applause. Well done and congratulations.

Wonderful story and incredible characters from start to finish. Blindsided is my first book by this author and I was not disappointed.

Josie and Oliver are two very complex yet compelling characters. They have charm and sophistication that make them truly loveable. The strength Josie shows as she goes through a terrible time is enduring and inspiring and the way Oliver stands by her is beautiful.

Such a well written book full of emotions and extreme highs and lows. You feel it all!!! Definitely a book to be read!!! Very well done Ms. Juliet!!!!
