I love this manga so much. Kiku san. Hah my heart!
A guy falls from the sky (literally!) and he doesn't remember anything. He has got the worst nightmares everytime he falls asleep.
The one who's taking him in is in grief because of losing their grandfather and is alone in the house.
And so their story begins. And I'm obsessed with them now.
Their chemistry is beautiful.
I love this manga so much. Kiku san. Hah my heart!

Oh, this was good. I like Shiro and Kiku. I don't know what to make of Shiro's uncle, though. Shiro and Kiku are both lonely for different reasons, and while they struggle with their loneliness they are getting to know each other and forming a friendship. (Let's not talk about letting a total stranger stay at your house. This trope is used way too often.)
Shiro is adamant about Kiku not overworking himself, and pronouncing himself Kiku's guardian while Kiku feels like he has to earn his keep and, of course, overworking himself to not be a burden.
Kiku is slowly adjusting to his strange surroundings but is plagued by nightmares and flashbacks, barely getting any sleep. And only Shiro's closeness seems to help. Shiro caring for Kiku helps Shiro in return to not feel so lonely himself.
As they become closer, they both realise that they are feeling more than friendship for the other one.
The relationship between Shiro and Kiku develops slowly which I very much appreciate. They are still at the stage of friendship at the end of this volume but are beginning to think about the other one romantically.
Misc. (only interesting for readers of the German publication, or maybe not, since I'm being nitpicky again):

Baca sampai Zoku.
Plotnya rapi, kedua karakternya menyenangkan, perkembangan karakternya bagus banget, percintaannya dapet, problematika kedua tokohnya dapet.
Tema time travel-nya pun mantap, bukan sekadar tempelan.
Suka.
Apalagi gaya gambarnya bikin atmosfernya syahdu-syahdu menenangkan (meminjam perumpamaan seorang teman), makin demen si Gie.
Sudah lama gak baca BL yang serupa ini. Senang.
Berharap masih ada kelanjutannya. Mohon jangan mengecewakan harapan saya ini, Pengarang.

Liked the art and the story is really interesting. I want to know why Kiku lost his memory and where he's from. Unfortunately (and this might be a problem with the translation) the conversations were confusing and weird most of the time.

what an interesting and mysterious premise.
this is an atmospheric bl manga centered around a time slip.
an amnesiac young man suddenly appears in a high school student’s pond. the mystery of WHO and HOW and WHY hangs over each panel, and the MOOD is there.
if there’s one thing i value in all media, it’s a unique, appropriate atmosphere.
it’s a talent for sure, and this author absolutely grasps it.
because hello??,,, the ART?!! 🫨 it’s GORGEOUS, especially the scenery.
something about me and the japanese countryside depicted in line art… we’re just meant for each other. (∗´ര ᎑ ര`∗)
this is not the kind of bl where i ooh and aah at the romance. and that’s because this is the kind of manga where the plot falls to the side and i get to soak up the feeling of being in another world.
do you know how nice that feels? to surrender control of your experience to the author? to trust that no matter how the plot unfolds you’ll still have an Experience anyway?
ugh, it’s too rare anymore to really feel like i’m INSIDE a different story that’s not my own life.
(mine could never be so perfectly-drawn anyway. rural living here is less charming because wealthy people gatekeep all the naturally beautiful features like ponds and lakes and build private, inaccessible housing developments around them~~)
the only thing that gave me pause in this first volume is the questionable age gap. questionable because exactly how old is kiku? shirou is in high school. 🤨
but anyway, i love the slice of life vibes mixed in with what is so blatantly a supernatural element but isn’t really treated as such.
very, very interesting + i appreciate it having a second volume (which i also reviewed)!

Aufmachung
Diesmal weiß ich nicht so recht, wie ich den Zeichenstil beschreiben soll. Manchmal ist er recht einfach gehalten und manchmal ist er sehr detailreich.
Protagonisten
Shiro geht zwar noch zur Schule, dennoch wohnt er bereits allein. Daher ist er schon sehr selbständig. Sein Ausdruck ist oftmals emotionslos bis streng, dennoch scheint er einer von den Guten zu sein.
Kiku weiß nicht mehr wer er ist oder wo er herkommt. Doch Technik ist ihm fremd. Er ist sehr übereifrig und überarbeitet sich dauernd in seiner Funktion als Shiros Housekeeper.
Fazit
Alle die gern sich langsam entwickelnde Boys Love Manga lesen wollen, sind hier an der richtigen Stelle. Explizite Stellen gibt es nicht, dafür jede Menge Zwischenmenschliches.
Die Charaktere sind absolut liebenswert und die Geschichte ist sehr interessant. Scheinbar soll es nur eine Dilogie sein, aber irgendwie kann ich mir das so schwer vorstellen, weil man das Gefühl hat, dass es ganz viel zu erzählen gäbe.
Wär dieses Buch nicht als Boys Love beschrieben, dann hätte ich es eher in Slice of Life eingeordnet. Wie auch immer, freue ich mich schon sehr auf die Fortsetzung und bin gespannt, wie es mit den beiden weitergeht.

Siento que hay mucho potencial desperdiciado ya que el planteamiento podia dar muchísimo más de sí, siento que queda muy por la superficie de los temas que podria abordar. Además que los diálogos era algo extraños y muchas veces no tenía ni la más remota idea de lo que decian, a que se referian o de lo que se quería transmitir con eso, quizás sea por la traducción con la que lei la historia, que puede ser una de las razones, pero no se.
Como puntos buenos podemos hablar del dibujo que está muy bonito y que los personajes más o menos(digamos) se comportan como sus contextos nos plantean, pero tampoco se profundiza mucho en ellos por lo que tienes que sacar esas conclusiones por un par de diálogos y darle a la cabeza.
Esperemos que en el segundo esto se soluciones, un poquito aunque sea.

3.5 stars* I like the flow even if it can feel like there is no progress in the story for me it does a good job of showing how they grow used to each other and the routine. It's great that the manga has this opportunity by having two volumes instead of being a oneshot. Oneshots often feel way too rushed and it's not what this story needs, I think two volumes is perfect for it (we'll see I haven't read the second one yet).

Ay como Kiku se esfuerza en aprender a cocinar para Shiro y ay como le agarra la manita, ay ay ay que lindos... ya me calmo. La verdad es que adquirí este tomo por lo bonito que se veían los personajes dibujados, pero me ha sorprendido la trama que tiene y tengo este presentimiento de que las cosas en el segundo volumen se van a poner caóticas lo cual va a dejarme devastada si es así… espero que no.

This is my first time reading a work by Syaku-sensei, and it turned out to be pretty satisfying.
I like the art style. It's not mind-blowing, but it still suits my taste. I was a bit hesitant about the time-travel theme at first, but after reading it, I found it enjoyable, and the relationship between the main characters is quite interesting to follow.
Even though I didn’t find anything particularly special, I liked it enough.

La serie termina en un cliffhanger, pero me quedo con muchas ganas de saber que ocurrirá a continuación!
El arte es muy bonito, y al estar situada en un pueblo japonés es interesante ver todos los detalles culturales. También es muy calmada, aunque tuve problemas para interpretar algunos diálogos, no sé si sea por la traducción o una extraña manera de narrar por el autor. Aún así, lo recomiendo

Las historias con personajes que vienen de otro tiempo siempre llevan una carga dramática extra 🥲
La caracterización de los personajes y las situaciones en las que se ven envueltas, así como el misterio de la pérdida de la memoria de uno de ellos, me gusta como están manejadas. Además el arte es hermoso 🖤

Muy entusiasmada con esta historia. Me gusta cuando se añade algún elemento de fantasía o cifi, aunque en este primer tomo no aclara hacia donde tirará, me parece bastante evidente. Los personajes están muy bien hechos y me gusta como juega con el tema de la amnesia (y eso que es un tropo que no me gusta demasiado). A ver qué tal el tomo 2.

beautiful art (especially in the coloured pages). airy and specific. but the story itself is surprisingly slice of life-y. not much happens. development occurs in slug-slow pace, with more emphasis in mundane interactions and atmosphere. i quite like it, but, with the whole story hanging on a time slip mystery hook, the plot might start moving quicker in the next volume. if it does that, i just hope the manga does it well. quite curious, too, if the author will explore the harsher frictions between imperial japan values and current japanese ones or if we'll just go with a "fuhgettabouit, this is a fluffy BL, we dont do historical politics here, focus on how they'll be parted by time".

I love the ending, i love the characters and I think the storyline is perfect. There are some parts of the book, which are intense. Like pretty sexual ngl, which is totally okay because it's a BL Manga. LOVEEEE IT!!!!

Me ha encantado. La tranquilidad que da el dibujo y la historia y eso de que Kiku no recuerde nada y que encima flipe con el mundo moderno...¿viajero del tiempo? Y encima es tan adorable...que ganas de ver como termina la historia en el segundo tomo.

Un manga con un dibujo muy bonito y una historia muy curiosa de un chico que no recuerda ni su nombre, mientras que un estudiante de bachillerato lo adopta en casa sin pensárselo dos veces a pesar de que puede robarle o a saber que otras cosas hacer

Me arrepiento con todo mi ser no haberme comprado el segundo tomo, me encantó este manga y encima quedé tan enganchado que quiero saber cómo terminará está relación.

Avevo letto pareri negativi ma in tutta onesta l'ho trovato carinissimo! Kiku è super dolce e lo adoro di più tra i due.

It was interesting but I didn't really connect with the characters at all. Will delve deeper into my thoughts in the next book.

This manga was super cute, I love the dynamic between the two protagonists. Although, the age gap between them made me a bit uncomfortable, especially when one is an adult and the other is a minor.
