Akilan Ra sends us on a deeply philosophical sci fi adventure in The Paramount Venture! A man sets out to unlock the secrets of the universe when he encounters a woman who may be something far worse. That’s definitely oversimplifying Ra’s work, which is profound and mixes several scientific theories and philosophies in a deep way! This one’s definitely cerebral, but I really enjoyed Ra’s mix of storytelling and philosophical musings! If you enjoy deeper sci fi explorations like Contact, then definitely set out for the stars in The Paramount Venture!

One of the best Sci-fi books I've read in the recent times. This is a very special book for me on a personal note.
The paramount venture is an absolute gripping story. To what extent would a man go to find his love. Death is something that people would not dare to experience, but this man here has been there and experienced it. A story set in the future -portrays how advanced the technology around us would be, and what happens when a unmanned aircraft records anomalies in the space. What if this anomaly is face of a person. A venture into space, explores the possibility that mankind could never imagine. Here stands a perfect combination of Indian philosophy and space science. How many universes would you travel to just spend a moment with your loved one. Explore the emotions of love, fear and space travel with this book.

A very good read from a first time author. A gripping story, fast paced which holds your interest and curiosity with every passing chapter till the very end .Inspite of being a science fiction it has an endearing love story with the right dash of philosophy and the mystery of our existence..Congratulations! looking forward for the next part...

A solid Sci fi adventure. It's pretty rare to read a book in this space populated by South Indian or for that matter any Indian characters in prominent roles. What the author sets out to do with this book is quite ambitious, trying to weave together a story of romance, adventure, science, self discovery and an inkling of philosophy. It's a fine book.

The story starts with Gayan Antareeksh, a senior research scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bengaluru. Gayan and his friend are on vacation at Rishikesh in North India for bungee jumping this is a vacation before Gayan leaves for his new space mission. And is excited and has been training himself as he was selected to go to NASA to help them with their new mission. Gayan, Diya, and Harsh the team of 3 were selected to go on this trip to NASA.
The story continues from reaching Space Centre to meeting the person in charge. From space Tech to research. From Earth to Universe, from love to pain, from struggle to friendship, from taking a dive into black holes to time-travel, from the parallel universe to unknown religions, from higher dimensions to sink in emotions. The story continues to unbelievable to believable.
So are we alone in this universe? Will they find answers to this question? What is the next step?

The Paramount Venture: The Ultimate Expedition is the debut novel written by Akilan Ra and after reading this I'm just stunned at the level of imagination and Research used to write this book.
This book will take you on a space adventure, that is filled with Sci-fi, Romance, Magical realism, and Philosophy combined together into one book that is ‘The Paramount Venture.’
The book ''The Paramount Venture'' is written in lucid language and full of information. Even though this is a fiction book yet as I was reading this at any given point I didn't feel it was just a story, but I felt it was more like a reality. And as I continued reading it, it felt like something way more beyond this world. The book is very innovative and impressive.
The highlight of the book is the way the author Akilan Ra has developed the storyline that is just incredible and well crafted. The storyline is very artistic and the characters are very well portrayed. Once you start reading this I am sure you will not be able to keep the book down as the story is very gripping.
And as you can see the author Akilan Ra has done tremendous hard work once you have finished reading this book completely.
Overall a fantastic and full of Wonder book. So if you like space and believe we are not alone in this universe and also want to experience the unknown possibilities then read now.

This is one of the best books I had ever read! Defenitely, not looking like a first book of the author. Eventhough it is a science fiction story, even a non science person can understand the story plot and Different concepts so clearly. To that extent, each and everything is clearly explained by the author. If u start reading once, u cannot close unless u finish it! The author got succeeded in keeping the readers more excited as, what next?! And more than that the reader cannot guess that too and the number of twists and turns are also more. More than Everything, I just loved the way in which the author had given philosophical touch everywhere and it is thought provoking too! Above all, it is one book, which had perfectly portrayed the word "Love" , not juz as a word but as a great one which is ever created ! I don't want to add spoiler , so let me finish it by adding, u will not stop reading it juz one time, defenitely, u wil read it atleast twice! Kudos to this young author and can't wait for the next part of this! :)

It's a science fiction with a slight taste of romance in it. It talks about travelling to different universe and about past and future. It has theories like black holes, Hawking's and if we take them in consideration then travelling to different universe can be possible in the near future.
Gayan was the major character in this book who works in NASA and her lover, Meisa who loves these theories persuades him to travel to different universe. This will allow us to question us 3 things now:
1.Will Gayan be able to find Meisa?
2. Will Gayan be able to do his research completely?
3. Will Gayan be alive to tell us all this?
To know these answers, you will have to read this book - The Paramount Venture by Akilan Ra
I liked this book because of the possibilities it talked about that can take place in future. Some things were there that seemed unrealistic but they sure will be the reality in the future.
I would recommend this book to all science fiction as well as to fiction lovers.

The Paramount Venture , is for sure a tidbit to those who love science and fantasy .

First of All Kudos for the blooming writer of THE PARAMOUNT VENTURE : The Ultimate Expedition RA Akilan.
I personally had good read indeed after a very long time.
I enjoyed reading the book From the first line to the last.It really urged me to read at a stretch.
I loved the way the story flows with a beautiful description of space and risk taken by the dauntless Avionics Engineer for his Love.
While reading the book, it was like I was taken to a space opera.
Eagerly looking for the next part!

So what do you get when you cross physics and metaphysics, and then add some romance for good measure? Apparently, a story like this! In it, the author takes you on an intergalactic adventure that also explores philosophical questions about our existence. A fun read if you love sci-fi with a dose of romance.

A heck of roller-coaster ride. Fast-paced, breathless interesting story. If you are fan of reading science fiction books, this is the one you need to read first before reading anything . An different kind of story , takes the reader step by step to a amazing world.It is a book you can't put down once your start. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader occupied whilst posing thought provoking questions about science and God. An interesting journy along with the charechters ..From the very start this book never lacks pace. A great story with lots of interesting detail … The description of space had made feeling in my mind just to visit amazing city once in my life
