Previously titled "To Keep a Secret" by M.M. Wedin. Edits and significant plot changes have been made.
A well needed week away from the mainland sounded like a great idea. But this innocent trip to a private island won’t end as well as it began. Tracy finds herself in a situation she could never have imagined as she gets to know the secrets of her love – Ryan Bailey.
The question is: when love turns to fear, how will you survive?
Buckle your seatbelts, this thriller was a page turner that I couldn't put down. The characters and pacing of this story were great! Kept me on the edge of my seat. This author knows how to deliver suspense. You won't see the ending coming. Cover art is amazing. Will definitely be reading more by this author.
I'm giving this book a 5/5 for the simple fact it filled my lunch time with something I was engrossed in and something that I actually cared about with such a short story. I don't know if I'm the only one but sometimes I do enjoy a little thrill on my break (books of course) This Novelette did it all for me, an amazing little intro, great development of characters (it was short but it's a novelette) and at the end I really did want to go home and just relax and hug my dog. I seriously sat there and thought: are there really people like this? I enjoyed this book and will tell my colleague's to read it as well. Great read.
WOW! You know those stories that can't be true? You just know there is something about it that just does not sound right. I thought this one was going there. NOPE! This one scared me enough I had to read something soft when I was done. Quick read.
The only problem I had with this book is that it just isn't long enough! A very gripping story that leaves you wanting more!!! Can't wait to read more from M.M. Wedin!

As you already know, this book is a novelette and since it is so short, I don't really know how to review the book.
The story begins with Tracy and a few of her friends going to a private island for a holiday and then things just speed downhill. The story feels kind of familiar, because I know that most of us have read books or watched movies in which a trip goes wrong. What did surprise me though, was just how fast it went wrong. But then again, it is a very short book.
Most of the characters aren't very interesting, including the protagonist, but obviously, this book isn't about interesting characters, at least not all of them.
The book ended too quickly for me, and that is because the story is interesting and I would have liked for it to be much longer than it was. Some parts of the book are chilling, and it would have been so much better if it were longer.
In conclusion, I did like the story and my only complain really, is that it was too short for my liking. So if you'd like a quick read, that would take you less than an hour to complete and would leave you wishing for it to be longer, then do get this book. It's a quick thriller and that's all it is, but that's just what we crave sometimes :D
My first read from M.M. Wedin, which scared the crap out of me, wasn't expecting that and definitely will have to check out her other books.
I've never been much of a short story fan, till the late Marina Keegan, made me realize that I was missing out on some really good reading.
With 'To Keep a Secret', you better buckle yourself in for a very scary, fast and furious, page turning and engrossing read. Tracy along with some friends, will spend a holiday on a private island and it'll change her life forever.
Really like M. M.'s writing, she can tell a wicked story, develops the characters, relatable to, and puts you right their in the pages.
Just wish it was longer, you can tell as your reading, that she very easily could have expanded the storyline into a much longer book.
WOW! This was a great short thriller/horror story. To be put in that situation is awful but to survive is good. Would you be able to survive? This is the first novelette I’ve read by Cora and I wasn’t disappointed.
I received this as an arc and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Thank you so much to Cora Clark for the pdf download of deadly seduction about the story.......

As women we should not be forced to do things we don't want to do like kiss a guy , I liked how calm Tracy was and how she got her self out of unimaginable situations , secrets will be discovered also love should never have to turn into fear but love might also save you in the end the scariest thing in a book is the unknown especially for a character anything can happen the writing was good a real page turner a lot of twist and turns along the way it had some romance it only took me about an hour to read this short story could not turn away from my computer there are some people like this in the world which is sad I did not expect it to end this way these type of stories have you craving for more of a longer story next time . I would recommend this story to my friends and family LAURA8759.
Horror ending to a holiday in paradise! by sewsummore
This was a short intense story that left me feeling shocked at the horror of what happened on that holiday in paradise. They say that you only really know someone when you live with them and that proved to be true in this case. Ryan was the quiet, shy guy, easy going, none the others has any suspicion of what he was really like, and it sent chills up my spine when the enormity of what he had done. This book was a dark and powerful story of murder, suspicion and fear. Psychotic would be the true description of Ryan and I was so glad that Tracy survived the horror of it all. I think this story would have been improved if it was longer and there was more details and background, however, storyline was interesting and I was surprised at the sudden ending.

This was a short but very gripping read. I was gripped from the very beginning and could not stop til finished. Well written plot and story line that keeps you engaged. The characters are well fleshed out and relatable. That ending I did not see coming at all!!! Really enjoyed reading and looking for more from this author.

This is my first book by this author and to be honest I do not know what to think. The book blurb is straight forward but after reading the book it takes on a much creepier feel. Four friends are setting out for an island getaway for a week. Ryan is the guy with the island and house that they are staying in. Tracy, Kenzie, Nick and Emma are all friends and along for the trip. The paradise getaway that turns out to be a deadly nightmare. If you like strange twists and stories that do not necessarily progress or end how you would think, this is the book for you. Enjoy!

I got this book from the author against a honest review, and even though I’m not much for short stories, the synopsis intrigued me and I wanted to give it a shot. I feel a little bad that I did not find this book as great as those others here at GR find it, but that’s the thing, we all do not like the same thing and that is a good thing. Right? Anyway, You can read a complete and a more detailed review at my blog.
Incredibly engrossing but oh-so-disturbing story! I am not sure why I like this kind of story but maybe because it is safe to read it while reality would not be safe. Either way, this book is very compelling and will leave you a bit disturbed.

The author pulls you into the story effortlessly. A group of five friends go to a private island for some fun in the sun. Tracy has been attracted to Ryan for quite a while and is hoping to start a relationship with him. However, everything starts to go wrong the very first night.

A horror short story to make certain you have a few nightmares. Fortunately I have not been through anything horrible like this story depicts, but I do like horror stories and this one is easy to visualize. Halloween is coming, so thanx for the appropriate scare!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest review. I loved it. A compelling thriller about an unforgettable vacation. This story will give you chills. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy being spooked.
I received this book through Booksprout in exchange of an honest review. Wow! For a short story it packs an a punch! Fast paced, duh, great characters, twisted just enough, and a great little book! Loved it!.
Four friends set out to holiday with another on his privately-owned island. What starts off as a wonderful holiday will turn into a nightmare in this very disturbing story. Good short read. I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
