I don't even know where to start. The story line was wonderful and engaging. The twists and turns of the unexpected had me on the edge of my seat. This is the kind of book a person can binge read without missing a beat. I love the representation of the primordial Greek God Erebus. This is new and to give him such personality that is fitting to what he stands for was magnificent. The characters are well thought out and the development of each of them leaves nothing to be desired. They are perfect. I love how my questions I had were answered. The suspense was engaging, and the plot well thought out. I'm excited to see what is to come in the next segment of the Phoenix Series. WELL DONE.
A Phoenix, a dragon king, a dragon wolf, 2 witches , a mage, and a dog that morphs into something that from the description makes me think that it should look like the dog in “ I am Number Four” when it morphed also. What is Johnathan’s role in all this? Why kill his family? Why take him, was it to throw Diana off her game? Looking forward to the battle that I feel is coming up. Because that ex has to die and stay dead like all ex’s we don’t like.
This was a very good book .I am glad a gave this author a chance. I loved the fact that Ruku kept chasing her. Who knew that both her and Jonathan would find love with a brother and sis who was a dragon king and witch .Then the twist that she was a demigoddess. Can't wait to find out what happens next hopefully Jonathan is ok
It was never a dull moment. It kept me intrigued emotionally and entertained with the mystery and action. Have become a fast fan. Have reread both this and the 2nd book with the same excitement. You'll definitely find something you'll like.
I give the Author kudos for completing a novel. However, this was a painful read. Wrong word usage. Nothing was shown, the story was all told. The descriptions and dialogues were confusing and flat. This seems to be a trend for this publisher and editor. You can be sure I will be checking and if After Hours Publications AND FoolProof Editing is involved with the book I run the other way.
While I loved this story line, the writing itself needed some work. Ms. Collier needs a good beta reader and an editor. It's choppy and the tense is mixed up. I would love to see what someone like Phoenix Daniels could do with this. There is so much potential here.
I was excited about the concept of the book however the execution was just not there. The over/incorrect use of the words glaring and viewed made reading difficult. Personally, I would like to see this rewritten as a series. Give each couple their own stories especially, since there is a second book (not reading). PLEASE REWRITE!!!
Diana is great a Phoniex that can be born again and she doesn't know her love is a dragon aka (Roku) and her friend Johnathan is in love with his Roku sister and there is a big fight with the bad guys who take Johnathan I can not wait for book 2
