I couldn’t decide if I wanted to give this book three or four stars.
Amelia is a wonderfully positive person.It seems no matter what happens she sees the good that comes with it.
Oliver is all over the place. First he’s angry, then he’s kind-hearted, but he doesn’t trust Amelia with the truth.
The villain is Snidely Whiplash, huh? The author brings the other characters to life but the bad guy is almost cartoonish. The epilogue is a great finish to the story and I enjoyed reading the book. And that is the reason for the four stars.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Poor editing and proof reading
Yes poor editing like having a bedroom upstairs, then going to the back of the house to their room. And a woman with her hands tied behind her back with rope, rolling to lie on her back. Poor proof reading like Oliver becoming olive, and many more.
It ruined the story and if this is the standard of this authours books, then I’m very glad I didn’t pay for it. It was a freebie through bookbub.

A very enjoyable story with heartwarming characters that have suffered in the past. The storyline was definitely intriguing and entertaining. Oliver and Amelia both have suffered heartbreak in the past, Oliver with the deaths of his parents and Amelia had a father that wished she had never been born. Add into this an evil presence that complicates things.

A delightful adventure of love
What an amazing journey of love and adventure. Very interesting characters and a delightful story line. Lots of exciting events. I absolutely enjoyed reading this amazing journey. Definitely recommend this beautiful story with a very happy ending. I loved the extended epilogue. Excellent writing.

Happily Ever After
I enjoyed reading about Amelia and Oliver. Amelia had a hard life and Ollie had his issues as well. Together they were able to overcome their troubled pasts and build a good life together.

Love so true
A lovely story well written with emotion and empathy. Oliver and Amelia were made for each other but had to survive a traumatic situation from Oliver's past before they could celebrate their happily ever after.

Couldn't get into this story. He lives a solitary life after the tragic death of his father. She is a mail order bride organised by his close friend. At the end she works for him and they eventually fall in love. A sweet story but a little boring.

Vigilante Justice Combined with a Sweet Love Story
This book opens with the story of a young girl who works her fingers to the bone scrubbing clothes and linens by hand and is treated badly by some of her employers. When she gets home, her father is ready to take her earnings to the nearest saloon rather than allowing her to purchase bread to eat with the vegetables that she grows.
One of her employers had noticed that she was an eager learner and taught her to read. She read anything she could get hold of. Something that caught her interest was a notice for a mail-order bride. She decided to respond to the notice, was sent a ticket for the trip by train and stage coach, and she made plans quickly to escape the beatings she had to endure and travel to a better place.
It turns out that the writer of the advertisement was the uncle of a young man named Oliver. He had not really given any thought to marrying so was surprised when she arrived. He lived with his uncle and the uncle placed the ads without letting Oliver know. All was not well at the ranch where Oliver and his uncle, Melvin, lived. Oliver's father had died when their home was burned by people who thought they should have the land. They were disappointed when Oliver and Melvin did not move on. They then tried shooting into the house, stealing livestock, things that would encourage Oliver and Melvin to leave.
The young couple decided to get to know each other before marrying. Melvin served as their chaperone. This gave them a chance to get to know each other.

Three years later, he and his friend Melvin have rebuilt the house and barn. Oliver suffered two tragedies in his life. The loss of his mother then later the loss of his father in a fire which also resulted in Oliver almost losing his. He bears the scars on his body. All he thinks about is rebuilding the ranch to keep his father's legacy. But where will the legacy go if Oliver doesn't socialize?
Melvin has been like a second father to Oliver since the day he was born. Seeing that Oliver is obsessed with only the ranch he knows he has to do the unthinkable.

This is an action packed, but warm and heart rendering story of a young couple who have experienced many struggles and disappointments in their lives. This is Oliver and Amelia's story and the character development is really good. This book will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next and you will find yourself cheering on the couple as they strive for a HEA. The author has done a wonderful job with this story, and I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it. Do yourself a favor and grab this one; you will not be disappointed..

This is a well written book with strong,well developed characters and an interesting story line. The author does a great job building the story and pulls you in with all the heartbreak and emotions coming through the pages. She moves the story at a steady pace and brings it to life with her detailed scenes. I enjoyed reading Amelia and Oliver's story.

This is a very good story about a young woman Amelia and a young man wounded by burns on his body meeting due to an advertisement for a mail. Order Bride.This couple fell in love with each other and they had a very evil adversary to overcome and then find a life together I Think this is the best story written by this author

Part of the A Historical Western Romance series a well written story that held my interest until the end. This is Oliver and Amelia's story and everything they have to go through keeps you on the edge of your seat until you are finished.

Well done! Character strong and likable--working to achieve their happiness. Villan warped, diabolical. Interesting that epoilog showed hardship, difficulty. Description of area detailed enough to help reader visualize beauty and hardship.
