God I LOVE this series. I know there are people who compare it to 50 shades but I think it is 100,000 times better. Eva and Gideon both have such great character development and I just absolutely loved their story.

A disappointing end
I was hopeful that most of the storyline threads were tied off nicely but that is not the case at all. Apparently if she ever publishes the duology she tries to flog at the end of the novel she's then going to write about Gideon's sister, Ireland. There will be cameos in those books apparently so we can see what Gideon and Eva are up to. That's years away, the first Blacklist novel is already behind schedule.
All the writer had to do was an epilogue a year later rather than days later, all our questions would be answered! 5 books and she ends it with a whimper.

Wow!
Read all 5 books in less than 2 weeks! Granted, I spent a week in an all inclusive hotel in Ibiza with all the time in the world but I could literally not put my kindle down! I loved the fifty shades series but these are so much better. So much more story along side the sex. Albeit there is a hell of a lot of that that goes on. Brilliant! Gutted I've finished them!

Love this series! It's refreshing to not have the typical setup of gentler, shyer, inexperienced, poorer girl and rich, experienced billionaire who's a bit sex-mad with "rough-sex-only" vibes. (OK, there is a gay best friend but I like Cary and his relationship with Eva so will let him off).
No, both characters are feisty, hot, rich, stubborn, messy, traumatised and fucked-up and both will equally piss you off as much as you adore them both. The series is emotionally as well as physically intense but I find it all believable for the most part, and I connected with both characters. Obviously, there are a lot of sex scenes but it's steamy and relevant, and important, I think, for both protagonists' relationship and personal character development. As opposed to, "I'm writing a sexy book, let's include as many sex scenes as possible."

Love this series, This series was an OG read for me. Each book flowed great between the others. Eva Tramell and Gideon Cross's tumultuous relationship is something that definitely hooked me in. At times their communication was frustrating but I think that is needed in the tug-and-pull relationship they have.
Definitely a favorite of the Billionaire Romance Read's I have read.

An amazing series with charming characters. Compared to other similar reads here both the hero and heroine have a hard emotional journey to complete. Their growth is impressing. I especially liked the first 3 books. The 4 th was ok the 5 th was dissapointing for me because i felt that the writer wanted to wrap it up allready and rushed the action. Or maybe i just wanted to read more... Anyways it' s a 5 star.

I read these books when they came out and fell in love instantly.
After reading it again I realised how much I loved the characters and the overall story once again. Sylvia is a master at creating the right amount of tension, angst and more making it seem more like being in the moment than a story. She has cleverly woven a tale that you are more than invested in the outcome and want to keep reading because you need to know what is happening with the wonderful characters.

This series is one of my favorites. Totally blows fifty shades out of the water. Gideon and Eva have an incredible relationship with ups and downs, happy and sad times but you can still feel the love they have for each other. Eva has tried to move on but Gideon draws her back. They are, to me, a perfect couple. They make you believe in love. I absolutely love this book and the whole series.

This series is definitely meant for a mature adult audience. The series as a whole was great, some of the books more interesting than the others. It does mention quite a bit of heavy topics, therefore trigger warning check is a must. The spice in the books is definitely delivered as is expected with a mature audience book. The characters in the book definitely grow and develop more depth as the series continues. I found myself rooting for our main characters more and more throughout the books. The only negative I would say would be the verbiage on the details of the female anatomy could have used more variety and even some substitutes. Furthermore, some of the details in books 4 and 5 were a bit amiss. But overall if you are looking for a romance with a possessive/obsessive/controlling MMC, who knows his way around the bedroom extremely well this is the one for you!

Read this series a few years back and now I am re-reading it.
The whole story has a kind of 50 shades of Grey thing but I feel this is way better. There were very few cringe moments too. It may seem to be too good to be true (rich guy, rich girl, happy ever after story) but their personal issues are very real and probably people reading it can relate to some of them. I like how the story unfolds. There are very exciting moments where it is hard to put the book down.
It's a great book, not a literary masterpiece but nonetheless it's a series that you'll easily fell in love with.

Seria "Cross" autorstwa Sylvii Day to w moim odczuciu jedna z najbardziej niedocenianych serii. Opowiada historię Gideona Crossa - bogatego biznesmena - oraz Evy. Choć mężczyzna deklaruje, że chce relacji tylko na tle seksualnym, szybko wybucha między nimi gorące uczucie. W wirze namiętności zapominają, iż każde kłamstwo i tajemnice niszczą nawet najprawdziwszą miłość. Uważam, że seria jest naprawdę godna polecenia i zasługuje na swoje miano bestsellera. Każdy powinien przeczytać ją chociaż raz!

Going in to this series I didn't have high expectations. I was recommended as I'd not really enjoyed any books for a while and this was an easy read. I quickly fell in love and spent my two week holiday by the pool reading this series. It is captivating, charming, and sexy as hell.. kind of like the characters who you fall for. Really enjoyed this series and I miss these characters already!! Even though things worked out for them for a bloody change!

Gideon and Eva story is amazing. There are just so many twist and turns and truly amazing spice. I want more from these 2.
At first I thought. 5 books about 1 couple... seriously but I was pulled in right away. I could not stop!! I slowly read the 5th book thinking it was the end but Sylvia Day, you have to have more for us!! Please let there be more!!

I found these books unnecessarily predictable, the characters story was good but I felt there was over use of sex scenes, I found it dull and skimmed pages as I felt I didn’t care for it. The sex scene felt forced and repetitive and there was not enough of the story being told.
That being said I continued the series as I wanted to see how this story progresses.
The last book was by far the best for me, given the chance o would not have started these books.

I loved the 50 shades books years ago and when I came across this series I was delighted! I absolutely loved these books and I think they're so much better than the 50 shades books, the love story is nicer, the few twists and turns catch you, Eva and Gideons story is just a lovely one and there's no contracts it's just a love story of a billionaire falling in love, and growing and the spice in the book is 3 chillies

The ups and downs of Eva and Gideon were completely capturing. Sylvia Day blew me away and I read every last book in about 2weeks! Wasn’t working at the time so I had too much time on my hands but it was great! I couldn’t put it down if my life had depended on it. Every book brought on surprises I wasn’t expecting.

foi pelo simples prazer de releitura por não lembrar exatamente de tudo e passei a maior parte do meu tempo escandalizada porque li essa série muito nova. o mais chocante é capacidade da autora de escrever 5 livros sobre um período curto de tempo. intrigante, sensual, fluído e se você ignorar todos os tópicos de agressão e dependência exagerada entre os protagonistas dá pra chamar de romântico.

These books changed my life and my perspective on love, true love. I fell in love with Gideon and Eva and refused to finish the last book because I just don't want it to be over. A must read for any of you romance lovers. Plenty of steamy love scenes that are as tasteful as they are erotic.

This is one of the best series I read in my life. Impossible to put it down. I didn't sleep much while reading these books! I've read it à few times and never get tired of it. Thank you Sylvia Day for this amazing story. Hope we get to see it on the big screen someday.💜
