Everleigh of Calais thought her heart belonged to the throne she was given, but the gods have other ideas.
After the war of Calais, the last thing her people wanted was for their queen to be killed and sent to the deep sea of souls. But in the sea, Everly might find her home in the shape of a handsome, sarcastic, slightly insane god with stunning eyes, and a kind soul.
In the year she has been missing, a new queen has risen in the sea and wants the crown that is not hers and back on land, her best friend is struggling to hold the seven islands together.
The sea wants her heart, The Mermaid King believes her heart is his, And her protector will fight the very waves of the sea to bring Everly back.
Two crowns. Two worlds. But only one queen.
18+ RH romance based in the Saved by Pirates world. It’s recommended the Saved by Pirates Series is read first.
G. Bailey is a USA Today bestselling author of books that are filled with everything from dragons to pirates. Plus, fantasy worlds and breath-taking adventures. Oh, and some swoon-worthy men that no girl could forget. G. Bailey is from the very rainy U.K. where she lives with her husband, two children and three cheeky dogs.
She promised her hand to the Mermaid King, but all she truly wanted was someone who would love her, and not her title.
One moment was all it took to change everything.
She found her body was bleeding and her soul was descending towards the sea of souls all whilst a god watched on.
He sees her, and instantly knows she's the one he must save, but at what cost to him?
Mermaids and sea dragons, gods and royalty this book suprised me left right and centre.
I wasn't sure what to expect as I haven't read the interconnecting series, but within a few chapters I was completely won over and smitten with all the main characters.
Ty, Damian and Naiad all suprised me. I expected them to be formal, cold and harsh and they were anything but.
They share the same dream, the same desire and the same need. I loved the bond that began to form between them as they were forced into each others company.
Everleigh has one of the biggest hearts I've ever seen. All she wants is love, peace and true happiness for her people and if there's any left over for herself then it's a dream come true. Simply beautiful!
I've never read anything like this before, and I'm so glad I gave my first to G.Bailey as I've read alot by her and she never disappoints!
Simply stunning I'm in awe of her mind I really am!
This book is written as a standalone with characters from previous books. I must admit, I am not much of a pirate book reader, however, this one captured my attention. Loved the descriptions of Everleigh's men as they all sound quite handsome. She has quite an adventurous life. Captivating!
I must say I did not have high standards for this at all. I was ready to be bored a few chapters in and DNF this book. I quite enjoyed the trilogy and I said, why not give Everleigh a chance?
During Save the Sea I was very confused as to why it was such a big fuss that Everly promised to marry Damian considering they clearly had chemistry. I liked the addition of Naiad in his story, it was unexpected and he was a sweet ex-god that acted like a puppy in love. While Ty and Everly being platonic till now felt strange to me, I later felt like him keeping his distance fit perfectly with his character.
I really like that Damian, Naiad, and Ty seemed to really get along together and while they were sometimes poking each other, they seemed to have a common goal ad understanding. Damian surprised me by being anything but cold, cruel, and mean. Naiad was simply perfect, considering how he left internal life behind to be with her. I felt a bit bad for Ty, he seemed to have such low confidence in himself, and everyone kept joking about the other’s titles and then “just Ty”.
Overall, I really enjoyed the dynamic of this book, and I quite favored the idea of 3 love interests over Cassandra’s 6 pirates.
I have been looking forward to this story!! Ever since hearing of Everly in the Pirates series, I have wanted to know how her tale goes.
Here we are introduced to Everly, which if you have read the Pirates series you have heard of her. You will not be disappointed in her journey. As usual with a G. Bailey read you will have twists and turns, but the reward is always worth the ride. After all it is not an easy thing to do, trying to bring peace to the land and the sea. But Everly is more than up for the task.
So overall, Lost Heir is a great revisit to this series. Getting to see Cassandra and her pirates again was awesome. Also have I mentioned how Gem revisits her series and connects them. I Love This So Much!!
I really loved reading about characters that were supporting the main characters of another series. Seeing their lives and thoughts and feelings was really entertaining. I loved the new additions we were introduced to along the way. And seeing past favorites was totally awesome too! I am quite happy with the pacing and plot. I kept turning the pages pretty rapidly because I couldn't wait to reach the end! And what a beautiful happily ever after it was. I'm thinking that one day soon we'll get a next generation series too! I love how Ms. Bailey has her characters fall for each other. The reverse harem dynamic always seems to find its place and everyone just goes along with it. It makes for very enthusiastic reading!
I absolutely loved saved by the pirates series by G. Bailey and was excited to read more from this intriguing world...Everleigh is a great FMC with such a big heart who just wants to find love! Then there are the guys...all so different but all captivating in their own ways. But really there is nothing bad with reading a book about Merpeople, sea dragons and gods...this is an exciting combination tgg bag at gave the reader flicking the pages through all the twists and turns, drama, mystery and romance. Great read for lovers of G. Bailey!
I so miss reading this series, it was like meeting up with old friends after being apart for so long , This book was complete Joy!! It gave you that feel good feeling when you read it and you won't be able to put this on e down or any of G's other books they are fantastic and will take you on an epic journey you won't be able to forget, but you need to read her other books in this series to understand what all happened before ... Cannot wait to read more !!! This book was reviewed by a Book Loving Vixen...
I absolutely loved reading about the Calais world that G. Bailey created! I was surprised for being a shorter series plus a short standalone that so many details were included. The characters, even the minor ones, have more information that I would’ve expected. I loved that we got to see more from Cassandra and her men this story. I’m so glad that Everleigh was able to have her own story and happy ending; she was such an amazing character. What an amazing world! Highly recommend!
We thought we'd read the last of Cassandra & her Pirates along with the 7 islands of Calais, but it's Everleigh's turn. Everly must make a decision of how to bring peace to the people of land & sea. It has been awhile since we'd visited the world of Calais, sea, & Pirates, it's nice to revisit to learn of the fate's of Cassandra & her family (with the small snippets because after all this is the story of Ev & her throne) & Everly.
Another great book 📖 full off action ,adventure and 3 gorgeous men to drool 🤤 over ...Ty the loyal man that he is and everyly eventually admit that they love 💓 each ...its full of magic and mermaids 🧜🏻♀️ and of course pirates ☠️ Highly recommend this book 📖 it has you hooked from the first chapter 😊
The Lost Heir is a Saved by Pirates spin off. It’s also a standalone so it’s quick paced, easy to get through.
I loved reading Everlys’ story and even though Saved by Pirates didn’t revolve around her it was good to get the whole picture, sort of closing the loop.
I really liked the book, and I'm happy that Cassandra's best friend from the previous books has a book of her own with her own story. The plot is well-written and not too complex, which makes it easy to understand and read quickly. I loved the characters; their personalities were very good. In short, if you like fantasy and short books, this one is for you.
I loved being able to see Everly’s story! It was exactly what I needed and I loved the little insight into Cass and her family. This book is a great addition to the series and a must read! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Beautiful! I had so much fun reading about Everly! I think she finally got her much needed happy ending! I loved the medium romance and how it blossom! It had all the feels! The boys were delicious and sweet! #whychooseromance
If you have not read Escape the Sea and the books that follow it,you'll want to start there. This is the final "chapter" on Everly and Cassander, following Everly on her adventure to love and back to her throne and her mission to unite the land and sea.
Honestly, I don’t think there could be a better final book for this series. It was just about perfect. It had all the feels, some excitement and a battle, love and redemption and a very happy HEA for Cass and Everly and all their guys.
I'm happy we got to read a part of Everly's story. I wish this book was longer, and that we had more moments with Damien, Ty and Nai. It was another great read nonetheless!
This book was beautiful. Many people yearn for a love that Everleigh achieves and the story line was amazing. I love seeing what has happened after Cassandras story.
Pirate story lots of action. And take some getting used to. because I hadn't read this series yet. Is it a recommendation bit doubtful for me anyway. But if you love pirates then its a yes!
I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.
I am SO happy this book was written! When we met King Damien in book 3, I instantly had to have his and Everly's story! And I was definently not disappointed at all with this wonderful novel!
Everly is very much like Cass in that they are strong female characters who will do the right thing, even if it means their death. Everly was determined to get her lands and seas under control, even though she really didn't want to be the queen.
Seeing her finally tell her true feelings for Tyrion was great, as everyone could tell they liked each other but were avoiding the truth.
And Naiad was a great character. He was very mysterious at the beginning, but he was such a cocky and confident guy.
Damien was my favorite guy character in the entire series. I'm not sure why but I just gravitated toward him the most.
I'm so so so glad I got a chance to read this eARC novel and I will definitely be visiting these characters in the future! I'm also glad I stumbled into G. Bailey's novels and I am now doing a massive catching up party to read all of her magnificent books :)
