Blurb: “How could Darcy advise Bingley properly if his friend did not tell him everything?”

>>Rating: one-shot, clean, with hints at impropriety.
>>Angst Level: zero except for Elizabeth’s bloodlust and Bingley’s stupidity and confusion.

“Listen to advice, but follow your heart.” –Conway Twitty

Bingley was an absolute moron. He couldn’t find his way out of a wet paper bag without Darcy's directions. I was so upset with him. Poor Jane, in love with such a man. Well, this story took a quick left turn from canon.

Elizabeth arrived in London and saw the situation with the Bingleys for what it was. The following day, she stormed Hurst House looking for Bingley. She was directed to Darcy House where she stormed the fortress to beard the dragon [puppy] in his den. When she was admitted to Darcy’s study, Bingley innocently asked after Jane… Lizzy instantly saw red and slapped him silly. Darcy had to pull her back to prevent further damage to his friend. Way to go Lizzy.

After a calm conversation, while Darcy still held Miss Elizabeth, he found out Bingley deserved it. Things suddenly came into focus with Lizzy on the scene. Bingley had failed to inform his friend of a few things in his dealings with Miss Bennet.

Mrs. Bennet was another problem altogether. What a dim bulb. What was she thinking? It did eliminate another problem with Lydia. So, perhaps it wasn’t so bad.

“Good advice is always certain to be ignored, but that’s no reason not to give it.” –Agatha Christie

Wow. Funny story. One must pray someone tells Jane and Charles how to run their life. Neither one of them has a clue. 😂

A fun story with fun dialogues a brave, spirited Elizabeth and a supportive Darcy.
However Bingley was repulsive and a wishy washy Jane disappointed and frankly Mr and Mrs B, their attitude and actions were frankly unbelievable and higlhly improbable given the time period!

A dim-witted Bingley (cousin to Darcy?) takes advantage of Jane and abandons her! Happy ending, but ugh, couldn't get past the bad taste in my mouth.

Cute writing!

The one in which it's in Darcy's best interests not to have known everything. Bingley needs a spine badly.
