Nikolai Through the Devil's Eyes

Wow this ones great. This is Nikolai's POV!!

Even though this can be read as a standalone I really recommend reading the books previous to this one. You ask why????

This book fills in all those scenes where Nikolai looks at Justine and you wondered what he was thinking.
It didn't disappoint At All. I love the way he's so Alpha. It brought back all those memories of how he helped her confidence after that horrendous ordeal she went through. This is the basis of where these two become that unstoppable force. Like I said from Nikolai's POV but it tied in beautifully with the Nikolai set.
Ohhh and did I forget to mention Steamy?!? Ohhh lawdy!!!!

Another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ winner here.
Shandi hasn't disappointed me at all with any book I've read so far.

This is Nikolai and Justine’s story through Nikolai’s point of view and it can be read as a stand-alone or you can start at the beginning to their story. This is a fast-paced steamy mafia read with loads of twists and turns, lots of drama and intense chemistry. Both characters have lots of depth and their story really draws you in. I was hooked from beginning to end. I loved it!

Dramatic, compelling reads that will leave you wanting more!

Nikolai was a man with hatred in his heart, as the only son of Vladimir, he was a mafia Prince who longed for the day that he could claim his father's crown by killing the man who had tortured and beaten him throughout his childhood and teenage years. Jasmine was a lawyer in charge of his latest arrest. She was young and beautiful, but more importantly, she was going to be his. This Box set is part one and part two of a series, there s a cliff hanger at the end of this book, which will continue in the next book of the series. The compulsion Nikolai felt for Justine was different from anything he had felt for a woman before. Justine was a woman driven to succeed. She carried physical scars that time would never erase, but, for Nikolai, her scars were outward signs of her strength to survive, and by accepting his love, she carried them with pride. I found these two books in the series, both fantastic and compulsive reading. After I finished reading these two, I immediately started on the third. Be warned, and they are dramatic, compelling reads that will leave you wanting more.

This is a very different book in that it follows the completed Nikolai series, but I found it all the more interesting because I could relax and not wonder how things turned out, I already knew. Nikolai will never be one of my favourite Shandi Boyes heroes but he is the quintessential anti-hero and this novel confirms that. At the beginning he is so cocky and self-absorbed and Justine appears so innocent then so subtly that the reader is hardly aware, they both transform. Nikolai shows his caring, loving side not only for Justine but also for Trey and Roman, it is not overt but it is very real. Justine becomes a much more self assured and strong ready to become Nikolai’s queen. This a very clever perspective on Nikolai and Justine's beginning and Nikolai’s rise to power and is a worthy addition to the series.

I have always had a soft spot for Nikolai the mafia prince. This captivating story is through the devil's eyes. Justine and Nikolai have a beginning that has been built with a fierce devotion as Nikolai sees himself through Justine's eyes as a powerful strong survivour who despite what he thinks she continues to remind him of how she sees him and believes he will always protect her.
Reading their story through Nikolai's eyes and his conflicted emotions and trained upbringing belief of self has you falling for this man all over again.
Nikolai knew the minute he saw the angelic Justine there was more than meets the eye. Her innerstrengh and confidence his fiercely protective Queen.
Justine saw beneath the monster she saw his lost broken heart and her intensely to love him to show him he was more than his monster.
I absolutely loved reading from Nikalai's perspective.

After reading the Nikolai series from Justine's POV, I loved getting their meeting and subsequent house arrest in his POV. I loved getting all those moments where you wondered what he was thinking. This book was absolutely phenomenal. I did not feel like I was reading the same book over again like I have in the past when other authors have tried the same thing. This book felt completely new even though you knew what was going to happen.

I loved getting inside of Nikolai's head, and knowing his deep inner thoughts. This is one of my favorite Shandi couples, and this book just solidified that.

I would recommend to read the first four of the Nikolai series before reading this one.

Riveting and intriguing from Nikolai's POV

Nikolai: Through The Devil's Eyes is the sixth book in the Russian Mob Chronicles series and continuing story of Nikolai Popov. If you have read the first book in this series, A Mafia Prince Romance, then you will love this one as it is the same story but from his POV, which is really interesting. Once again this author was able to deliver a book that is well written, engaging, riveting and a whole lot more. Yep we know the story-line but this is so much more than a "retelling" as the author gives the reader a great look into Nikolai's head and the way he feels about Justine, and why.

I loved Nikolai before I read this book but I am even more in love with him now. I love the way Shandi wrote this book so we could see from his perspective through the first book in his series. He knew the moment he saw Justine that he had to make her his but to read it and feel what he was feeling about her the whole time gives you a whole different view on him. There love story is powerful, explosive, inspirational, amazing, steamy, and in some parts even a tear jerker. This book is definitely one you want to read in the Nikolai series.

I highly suggest reading this entire series. Through the Devil's Eyes was book one through Nikolai's eyes. It was amazing getting to see behind the scenes with Nikolai and what was really happening in Nikolai's head when he first met Justine. You learn so much more about him. Nikoali has been my leading man for all of Shandi's series, you could always tell his intentions with Justine even when he was unsure, but you really see who he is as a person in this book. Very well written, Shandi. Thank you so much <3

Nikolai will have you fanning from page one. Bad boy with a huge ego and a alpha pride to the bone. He claimed Justine from the moment he saw her. he is hardcore mafia. Killed without conscious . The sexual tension was off the charts. It seemed Justine was overwhelmed by Nikolai's personality from the beginning. She showed a little spunk here and there. Fast paced and a quick read. We have a lot to look forward to in coming books.

I enjoyed Nikolai’s series so much and was thrilled when I saw this. I didn’t think it could get any better but this is my fav. I loved that this was told in Nikola’s POV. After reading the previous stories, it was so nice knowing what he thought. This story is excellent. If you haven’t read the series, this is a great one and you’ll have this to look forward. The story is very captivating and I couldn’t put it down. I will likely read the whole series again, loved it. Well done!

This is book six in the Russian Mob Chronicles series. This book is Nikolai and Justine's story told from his point of view. I had mixed feelings about this book but I am so glad I read it. I loved reading the condensed version of the changes between Nikolai and Justine both individually and on their relationship. Reading the series you read about Nikolai, this book you get a real glimpse at what goes through his head. A great story that rounds out the series, perfectly. Enjoy!

This is Nikolai POV of book 1 (Russian Mob Chronicles) the book is so well written you almost forget you have read the story. You find out answers to questions you never knew you needed to know.

The chemistry between Nikolai and Justine is still smoking hot and to read it from Nikolai POV is so much hotter.

This story is raw, emotional, intriguing and so well written I highly recommend it

Plus it's a Russian mafia boss with Nikolai what more do you need

I loved all the Nikolai books when I first read them and I’ve really enjoyed going back to Nikolai and Justine’s beginning and seeing it all unfold through the Devil’s eye. This book gives you a new appreciation for how their story began and a deeper understanding of Nikolai and the man he is. This makes for a captivating read that highlighted again why I adored these books the first-time round, I already want to read it again.

Why retell the story through Nikolai's eyes?

It's been a few years since I read the first book in the Russian job chronicles, but I remember the storyline well. That book was really sexy and one of my favorites.

I really enjoyed the retelling in this book, but I didn't see what was new about the story.

What was the impetus for telling the book through Nikolai's eyes? It seems like an unusual literary device.

Read ‘Nikolai: A Mafia Prince Romance‘ before you read this book. It is from Justine’s perspective and this book is from Nikolai’s.
This book takes you inside the crazed mind of Nikolai. It explained several things from the first book and gave me a new appreciation for Nikolai and Justine as a couple. I loved it! Now I want to reread the four book series from Justine’s perspective!

Re-reading the beginning of the Devil and Ahren's rise to the too, but in Nikolai's view was just as thrilling as the first time around. Seeing loose ends tied up that originally we didn't get to see was amazing. And provides more trust to the reader that Nikolai is fixated and not just toying with Justine. I loved this retelling!

Violence

This is, as the title, how he and Justine started out. Covering just 36 hours...so much comes to the forefront. Nikolai was born through violence, raised to be a soldier for Vladimir, all the while wanting to kill the man that raised him. The book is very graphic.

Who edited this book??

This book needs some serious editing. The misspellings alone would drive you crazy but the grammar is just painful. Frustrating since I've read all the other books and not had any issues.

I heart Nikolai

For a chance at more Nikolai and Justine, I was super excited. I love reading books from other characters point of view so this was a super cool take on part of a series I’ve already finished. Shandi is a complete genius!
