Lena Matthews spends her days dreaming about handsome heroes and her nights with her own personal hero. Married to her college sweetheart, she is the proud mother of two children, three evil dogs, and a mess of ants that she can't seem to get rid of.

Very Short! (novella @ 23,000 words) but cute book that reads almost like a Hallmark movie (minus the raunchy sex scenes of course).

Azure and Connor meet cute when he knocks on her door. Connor has promised his best-friend to keep and eye on his younger sister who happens to be Azure's next-door neighbor. But the sister isn't there and Connor desperately needs to use the bathroom. He hands Azure his wallet, assuring her that he isn't an ax-murderer. They banter wittily. He uses the facilities. They banter more and she kicks him out.

Later he finds out where she works and shows up with a gift to commemorate their first meeting. Azure is charmed (that is a pun on the gift) and the two strike up an intense relationship.

Azure is a wedding planner and a wedding dress she happens upon acts as the primary conflict in their so far nice relationship.

I loved the dialogue in this book. Azure and Connor were both clever and funny and the author did a fantastic job of making them both incredibly appealing. I also think the author did a great job with the argument they had over the dress. It was well handled, logical and felt very natural.

I really wish it were longer. I have come the conclusion that I am just not a novella person.

I liked this. Would have LOVED it if it had been long enough to flesh out some pretty significant details in terms of the hero especially. When a man has such a strong aversion to marriage and lets it be known its due to a past one, you can't just leave that hanging without details. With this being so short, I kind of felt like the HEA would have benefitted from know just HOW much he had to overcome with his own demons. Still, for a short read- good book. I especially liked how the inevitable conflict played out. This chick did NOT react the atypical way books always have heroines reacting and I loved that as well as his response to it.

I tend to enjoy LM's books, but always walk away wishing they were longer. In this genre, that's easily forgiven LOL.

This story was the romantic fair that I really enjoy and the ending was just... The story of the wedding dress as the catalyst to change in the relationship was perfect. The epilogue was the icing on the cake. I'll definitly be reading this again.

this was a wonderful read. I had to take time to adjust to the way the story was written but all in all it was a good read. I enjoyed the fact that the story was finalized unlike others I've read by this author.

Should've been longer. I only say this because I enjoyed the story and wanted more.
