Playing for the Seattle Sockeyes is a dream come true. Yet in less than twenty-four hours, my life is a hot mess, and my dream has turned into a nightmare.

I think this will be my last book by this author.
It's actually only the 2nd book by her that I read but I think I can already tell that her storytelling is not for me.
I found both books to be lacking in chemistry between the leads, lacking in plot and just generally lacking anything that could make me interested.

It was bland to say the least.

Blocked was the second book in the Seattle Sockeyes Scoring series by Jami Davenport.

We met Axel Vanderbuel briefly in book one as one of the “Puck Brothers,” a small group of players from Training Camp that were vying for a spot on the team. Axel was their self appointed leader and had not made the cut. If you need a refresher, read the first chapter of Shutout and you’re caught up; however, it wasn’t necessary and could be read as a stand-alone. Axel had been on the AHL team until an injury on the Sockeyes had him called up to the NHL. He was ecstatic. We quickly learn he unknowingly got into hot water of the worst kind so his trip to the big leagues could end before it even got started.

Geneva Bouchard was the sister to the back up goalie, Jock Frontier. She was also part of the equipment staff. Sisters were hands off and not only that but Jock hated Axel, so there was that. Geneva and Axel were attracted but it ended there. Geneva had a history of bad boys and bad decisions. She had a good gig with the Sockeyes and her brother and she wasn’t going to screw it up.

I liked the characters but the beginning was bizarre to me. The situation clearly was not Axel’s fault - yet no blame was on the other party, just Axel. That wasn’t realistic to me and was just weird. I totally hated the antagonist and the player reactions. But then the storyline progressed and the scales tipped to a more realistic balance.

In the end, it was a fast paced and intriguing read. I couldn’t put it down and there were so many secondary stories that meshed simultaneously with the main plot that I can’t wait to see how it plays out. Obviously Jock will need a story, but so many others have so much potential and so many demons that their stories need to be told as well. Next up is the mysterious Kaden in Playmaker.

JAMI'S THOUGHTS:

Because of all the heartbreak, all the chaos, and all the worry going on in the world, this book was the toughest one I've ever written. Setting a book in the old normal while living in this new normal was harder than I ever imagined. Whenever my characters went to a party or hung out together, I would balk at letting them do that. Eventually, I found my zone, and I was able to immerse myself in the book and the world I'd created, but it was rocky road getting there.

I'm always too close to a book to know if readers are going to like it or not. All I know about Blocked is that I wrote the majority of the book while on stay-home orders. My editor gutted it, and I added over 18k words to it and deleted 2-3 chapters and one plot line. I sent it back to her, and she gutted a little bit more of it, and back I went to doing more edits. During all this, I'm stressed as my hubs is high-risk. I'm also worried sick for the people out of jobs, the small businesses, our country's economy, and everything else. Regardless, I pushed on. The result is a book I'm proud of. I persevered and finished it on time, wrote through the difficult and embraced the good times.

I hope this book gives you enjoyment and escape from any pressures you're under.

Thanks for reading. Be safe. Find joy in the simple things.

Blocked was a very good read.
This is the second book in the series but you can read it without any problem as a stand alone.

I really liked the main characters, especially the heroine.
Axel is a rookie called up to play for the Seattle Sockeyes who ends falling for a teammate’s sister, even if Geneva is pretty badass and not the usual naive virgin character they still have some hurdles to overcome and there’s still a bro code that can’t be broken.

Oh my this was the mother of all slow burns in the romance history, I think I’ve suffered more than the characters waiting for them to take that leap and give in to the fire and chemistry that were consuming them from the inside.

I recommend this book and I can’t wait to read Jami Davenport next work.

5 star Review Blocked: A Seattle Sockeyes Novel (The Scoring Series Book 2) by Jami Davenport

As I have come to expect from Ms.Davenport, the writing was strong and the characters had depth. Axel is not afraid to break the rules but even for him, the latest instance, just when he has finally achieved his dreams, to be a player for the Seattle Sockeyes, before he even commences with his team, a one night stand nearly destroys his career. Complications arise when it turns out that his one night stand is the estranged wife of Jock, one of his new team mates.

I had a bit of a hard time getting in to this one initially, but once I did it was well worth it. I really liked Geneva, she is a strong woman who does not suffer fools easily. Was Axel a fool? Perhaps, but he is horrified once he realises what has occurred and I really felt for him as all his dreams have the potential to unravel.

Can Axel overcome this horrendous start with the team? Can he escape Jock's wife who is now stalking him and what happens when he falls for the sister of the man he inadvertently betrayed?

There was so much going on with this story that I was drawn in and could not put it down. The secondary characters were entertaining and I appreciate that Ms.Davenport’s characters are not perfect, this just makes reading her stories easier to relate too. Blocked was an entertaining story that captivated me and I cannot wait to read more in this exciting series.

Oh my goodness! Jami Davenport took me for a ride and I loved it!

Jami Davenport has quickly become an author that I will read without even knowing what the story is about. Such was the case with Blocked. And let me tell you, this story was so freaking good, I finished it all in one night. Known for her sports romances that are un-put-down-able, Jami added in a bit of drama this time that I was not expecting, and I literally couldn't read the words fast enough! Even now, I want to go back and read it again.

Axel and Geneva's story has put a new twist on this series and I have to wonder what Jami might be coming up with next. One thing is certain, the Seattle Sockeyes aren't just sport's romances. Oh no, they're much deeper than that and the angst will drive you crazy in Blocked. The depth in this story is a bit deeper, in my opinion, and I'm just going to tell you that you HAVE to read it! Even if you've not read the first one, start with Blocked. Jami is going to totally take you by surprise!

Five angst-filled stars!!

Blocked (A Seattle Sockeyes Novel: The Scoring Series # 2) by: Jami Davenport

Unpredictable, sexy and addictive. It's fitting that Blocked is a story about breaking rules. Author, Davenport and her characters, Alex and Geneva prove themselves to have that in common. Alex thrives on complicated and that doesn't give off the best of impressions, but there is more to the man then the bad choices. He's all heart when it comes to the things he wants most. That's what makes him so endearing. Geneva brings out the best side of this tempting heartbreaker. Heart, heat and humor will have you hooked on this series.

I’m not sure how much of this story is really about Gen and Axel, as it is about family and everyday life struggles. There’s a lot of push pull in the beginning. Bria is a very messed up piece of work. There’s a lot about the relationship with Bria before Gen and Axel get together. That part may not be for everyone, it is pretty short lived. Lots of depth to the characters in this story. A bit of drama and some heart stopping moments. HEA.

Every athlete has a dream about going to the Olympics or playing with a professional league team. So when Alex got called up to the Seattle Sockeyes, he was on cloud 9 that he was finally getting the chance at playing pro hockey. Little did he realize that it would all come crashing down just as fast when the lady he picked up in a bar the night he arrived in town, was teammate Jock’s wife. Now he has a bad reputation as a player, some teammates don’t like him, when on the road he has to share a room and meals with Jock, that weirdo chick/wife is now stalking him and he managed to fall in love with Geneva, who just happens to be Jock’s sister.

Geneva, wasn’t your standard woman, she was the daughter of a biker and a lady who ditched both families she created, she had recently come out of a bad relationship, she worked for the Sockeyes and she really couldn’t stand her sister in law. So when she met Alex for the first time it was the worst situation possible - he was dropping her sister in law off at the house after sleeping with her. He kept claiming his innocence in the whole thing but she didn’t believe him....at first. But over time he wore her down, and there was no denying when Alex and her were together there wasn’t just a spark, there was a bonfire! Now the question is could they work through everything thrown their way or would it instead keep them apart.

Blocked is the second book of the Scoring Series but it is one you can read by itself. It is an incredible book from beginning to end and one I couldn’t put down. Definitely is one you need to add to your reading list! Hats off to Jami Davenport for working through these times and get it done for us so we can escape the real world for a little while. There is only one problem now......we will have to wait for the next book to find out if Jock will have his own story, what happens with the other members of the ‘Puck Brothers!’

Jami Davenport is on a winning streak with Blocked (Scoring #2). In this story, rookie Axel Vanderbuel unknowingly has a one-nightstand with a teammate’s wife not exactly the way to hit it off with your new fellow players. Throw in he is attracted to that same teammate’s sister…let’s just say it makes for a thought-provoking novel. Blocked primarily takes place in Seattle. It is suitable for adult readers.

Jami Davenport does an amazing job with this novel. The plot had provocative twists and was interesting. The characters are likable and well developed. Axel grows a lot in this story. He regrets his mistakes and owns up to them. He is a good guy who is persistent. My heart went out to Jock Frontier. He is a great dad and big brother. His wife Bria was a piece of work that caused numerous conflicts. Geneva Bouchard is a fun heroine. She is Jock’s half-sister. She grew up around motorcycle gangs. She had a rough past. She is hard working and grateful for Jock and his kids. I love Axel and Geneva together. They come off as a strange fit, but in reality, they are perfect for each other.

I appreciated that the Seattle Sockeyes play Kat Mizera’s Las Vegas Sidewinders. I read both series, so I enjoyed the reference. I recommend this book to people who enjoy sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has pain, secrets, and heartbreak.

This is Geneva and Axel’s story. Axel has finally made one of his dreams come true by getting to be a player for the Seattle Sockeyes. But one night with the wrong woman could almost cost him everything. His one-night stand happens to be one of his teammates estranged wife. So not only is he new he is disliked right away. He does not know what to do and to top it off the one woman that makes his heartbeat out of his chest is the sister to the man he already hurt with his actions. Geneva knows Axel did a bad thing but how can she blame him when he did not even know about her brother’s wife. She had a bad breakup and does not really want to fall into anything, but the chemistry is off the charts. Can she risk giving him a chance? How will his teammates take him not only sleeping with a wife of the players but now he wants to be with the same man’s sister?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

I felt bad for Axel after what happened. But there was a part of me who thought that was something he deserved because he thought with his small head and not his big head. I know it had to be really hard staring with the Sockeyes with that stigma. Then he wanted to pursue something with the teammate’s sister that wanted to beat him to a pulp. He sure knew how to mess up big time! Even with his stupid mistakes, I still liked him and felt sorry for him. I think when he met Geneva, he met a kindred heart. Geneva had a hard bringing up, especially with what her father let her get into, I was glad to see that she came to live with her brother who was a member of the Seattle Sockeyes. I loved how Axel fought to show Geneva he really liked her and also fought to show her brother how sorry he was for what happened. The team went through some problems that had some of the players pretty upset. I love hockey books and strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

Axel is excited about the opportunity to play for the Seattle Sockeyes so when he arrives in town his decision to celebrate might just be the worst decision he ever made. He ends up spending the night with a woman he met however he is about to find out that not only is she married but she is married to Jock, one of his teammates.

Geneva is Jock’s sister and she hasn’t had an easy past. There isn’t any way that she wouldn’t support her brother in this situation but that doesn’t mean she isn’t drawn to Axel as well. Axel accepts that the only way to fix the mess he is in is to show not only his teammates but Geneva that he is not the man that they believe him to be due to one mistake and he is more than up for the challenge.

I was happy to see Axel and Geneva get their happy ever after and I am looking forwarding to seeing the same happen for some of the other characters as well.

Amazing! This had so much storyline and a bit of suspense too!!

Axel gets called up to the Sockeyes and can't wait to get playing with the team. His first night in Seattle he hooks up with a hot woman who he finds out the next day is his teammates wife. He had no clue and now he has to deal with this disaster.

Geneva is the teammate's sister. When she sees Axel she is attracted but her brother would never go for it plus she works for the team. She can't put her position on the line either. But Axel is persistent he never met someone who made him feel like this

Can he not only fix things with his team and teammate but win the girl too?

I love this series by Jami Davenport.

She has this way of writing that draws you in from the first word!

Axel and Geneva were such great characters.

I love the way this author gives her characters such depth with interesting and intertwined backstories.

Axels story story started really rocky, albeit through no fault of his own, but rocky enough to alienate the majority of his team which played in so well to the slow burn igniting between him and Geneva!

Each character brings such a different element to the tale which all adds up to make it a great fulfilling read!

I couldn't recommend this series more!

Once again I'm left with mixed emotions with Jami Davenport's book. The things b that happen in the beginning of the book with Axel sleeping with his teammates wife even though he didn't know who she was left a bad taste with him then being attracted to that teammates sister.
In my world, that wouldn’t even be a consideration so it seemed impossible to me. It's why I'm giving this a 3,5*.

Now don't get me wrong I still liked both MC's. When you get pass the beginning, Axel was a great guy. He was thoughtful and had a big heart. Geneva was all talk but inside she had insecurities and fears. But she loved fiercely and won't let anyone touch her loved ones.

Over all it was an OK read but now I'm so excited to read Kaden's story because I'm positive it will the best in the series.

I had so many things to do and I decided I needed to adult before I started reading Blocked. THANK GOD! Once I opened this book to read, that was it-- nothing got done. I could not put this down. Jami hit the ground running with this one!
I felt so badly for Axel-- it wasn't his fault, but sometimes it's easier to blame some poor sucker than to look deeply into an issue. Poor Geneva- attracted to the guy, but loyal to her brother and with her own demons. And then there's Jock. (I can't wait for his story!)
I love my escape into romance novels and I miss hockey so much that it hurts. But as per usual, Jami Davenport and those Sockeyes made my day!
And yes, I may have squealed at some familiar names that have had their tales told already. And yes, I may be on the road to a re-read. Don't judge me!

Jami Davenport has sailed the puck into the net again with Blocked. I love all the books in the Sockeyes series and Blocked is one of my favorites. I love getting to see characters from previous books and can't wait for others to get their books. Blocked had me hooked from the first page and I could not put it down. Every chapter had me thinking oh what happens next. Each of the big characters have a story that you can tell is just waiting to be told.

Axel and Geneva have great chemistry. Geneva has a tough exterior but on the inside is like a marshmallow. She has just gotten out of a bad relationship and is living with her brother and his family to try and start over. She loves her family and will do anything for them and to protect them.
Her brother Jock is a backup goalie for the Seattle Sockeyes and gets her a job as an intern for the teams equipment crew. She loves her job and is good at it.

Axel is a rookie who has just been called up from the minors. Little does he know that one night and one mistake later will have him starting off on the wrong skate with the team. He has a one night stand with a woman who happens to be the wife of a teammate(Jock). He finds this out the next morning when he drives her home and finds his new teammates standing out front. It takes a while for his teammates and Geneva to believe him when he says he didn't know who she was or that she was married to Jock.

Geneva just wants to focus on her job and her family not a relationship. She notices Axel but does not share with anyone that she thinks he's cute. Axel wants to go on a date with her but she keeps shooting him down. He decides to wear her down by sending her chocolates and flowers. Having never had a guy do this before she starts to enjoy finding his little surprises and decides to go on one date with him. They find out that they have more in common than they think and start sneaking off to spend time together.

What I loved most about this book are the stories within the story. There are things going on with side characters that have you intrigued and wanting their stories to be told. I really liked that Geneva is part of the equipment crew. You get a feel as to how hard those guys work to get things packed, washed and set up for the team. I love that there is a girl in the mix who works just as hard as the guys do and puts in the same long hours. This is a book and series that I could totally re read and I need this book in paperback for my shelf. If you like Hockey like I do you will want to read this book and series. You will not be disappointed.

Our re introductions to Axel as he was being called back up to the Seattle Sockeyes Team was completely unexpected. I was prepared to hate Axel. I mean he didn’t know that the woman he slept with was his teammates wife but still.. maybe he should have. The Whole Puck Bros mentality gives off the immature frat boy feel. Axel was a hard character to love. I was worried that he would continue to be immature and very one dimensional. But you absolutely see the growth of his character through this book. He is more than just a Puck Bro, he is truly one of the good guys.
Geneva, she is tough as nails. Her history makes it hard for her to trust herself or others really. She feels damaged. She is trying very hard to start her life over and be there for her brother Jock and his kids. Geneva is kind of a badass. I like that she is sticking to her true self. Her Harley riding and no-nonsense demeanor is just what Axel needs. He didn’t need a woman who fell all over herself to be with him. Axel need the challenge that Geneva brings.
I wasn’t sure as this story started how it would end. The train wreck that is Axel and him sleeping with his teammate’s wife. Plus having chemistry with the same teammate’s sister. That is a whole lot of stuff to tackle. The growth of these characters felt natural and by the end you were rooting for them both. This story was filled with a lot of ups and downs and it kept you guessing where the next obstacle might be coming from for these two to get their HEA.
I really enjoy Davenport’s story telling style. She never disappoints. Her characters are complex, and each is unique in their view of the world and love. (I was eagerly awaiting the release of Blocked as I have a fondness for Hockey Romances. While I waited for the release of Blocked, I reread Shutout. Shutout is book one in the Scoring Series.) Blocked can be read as a standalone but do yourself a favor and read all of Davenport’s offerings. This was a 4/5 read for me. It is well written with great characters. I wanted a little more.

Just when his dreams are about to come true, a one night stand almost ruins Axel’s career and future. One bad decision almost costs him everything, and now he’s left trying to prove himself to not only his teammates, but to the woman who has captured his attention as well.

Geneva doesn’t have the best luck with men or relationships. She isn’t looking for a relationship, but Axel is more persistent than she gave him credit for. And, just maybe he isn’t the terrible guy she thinks he is and there is more to him than the first impression of him sleeping with her brother’s wife.

Jami Davenport scored a real winner with Blocked! Poor Axel is put through the wringer within just the first few pages, starting readers off with lots of drama and a hockey team and players on the edge needing to find a way to be cohesive if they intend to win. It shapes and defines Axel and I loved watching him have to work hard to make amends, which added so much character depth.

And Geneva is such a tough chick, with a soft and vulnerable core that few get to see! She goes on her own emotional journey as she learns to trust her instincts after a relationship gone very wrong which was amazing to read.

Together, Axel and Geneva are just a lot of fun. Witty dialogue and intense chemistry add to their opposites attract romance. The author does a fabulous job of creating relationships between the teammates as well. Jock and Axel have so much to overcome. The other puck brother’s also make appearances/ and, seriously, readers will be left asking questions about what is up with them! Add in a very psycho ex, and there is plenty of drama both on and off the ice.

Blocked was a really solid read and one I truly enjoyed. It was a real study in relationships as well as proving yourself and not being afraid to take chances to get what you really want out of life. 4.5 stars.

Blocked is the second book in the Scoring series, however if you haven't read the first in the series, you can easily read this one without being lost or confused.

Axel has just been called up to his NHL team and he's looking forward to making his debut, when the night before he reports to the team, he ends up hooking up with someone that could have long lasting ramifications. Ones that he never could have dreamt of! You couldn't have paid him to know that the woman he slept with was not only married, but married to one of his new teammates!

Geneva has had a rough few years and she's now living with her brother, Jock, and his family. She's starting as an intern for the Seattle Sockeyes, which happens to be the team her brother plays for as well. It's a good thing she's around since her brother is now embarking on a tumultuous time due to the fact he's getting a divorce. And, yes, his wife did sleep with Axel.

It's clear that Axel and Geneva are attracted to one another from the start. Clearly, Geneva doesn't believe Axel at first that he didn't know her sister-in-law was married or a teammates wife, but she slowly starts to see the "real" Axel. They've both been through things in the past and neither has ever given a relationship a try. Will this be the time to start or will Jock's dislike of Axel play a role in what Geneva decides to do?

I enjoyed this book quite a bit and I have to say I was really happy with how things unfolded. Axel worked to show them all who he really was and Geneva, while she was being cautious, she still was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series!

Now that was definitely a kick in the butt. What a way to start out this story, not to mention Axel's professor career. I have to start out by saying I feel sorry for Jock. He was just trying to do what was right for his children. I wish he had gone at it a better way but I understand his need to put his children above him. Now lets move on to Axel. I felt so bad for him. He was excited to start a new chapter but was also just lonely. Yeah, he probably could have used his head more but it wasn't all his fault. It takes two to tango and two not to lie. He probably would have come up to the Sockeyes with his A-game but he had to many strikes already facing him after that night. Geneva was pretty cool. She had a tough facade but after learning about her up bringing I understood it. I also understood her loyalty to her brother and loved how she stood by his side. It was fun watching her turn Axel down over and over again. It was also fun watching Axel not give up and give her back as good as he got. When these two finally came together it was like watching your favorite player win, I just loved them both. I didn't like the angst with Bria, mainly because I took a great dislike to her right off the bat. She was horrible, and even though I knew something was gonna happen I just was not happy with it. I'm thrilled that Axel and Geneva found their HEA. They deserved it. Now I'm curious for Kaden and Steele's story; and I wouldn't mind to see Jock get his own HEA. He deserves one too. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*

This book had me hooked from the first chapter. Axel is an up and coming hockey star. He just got called up from the farm team and he is celebrating. Unfortunately when the woman insists he take her home the next morning, he finds out that she is the wife of one of his teammates. I honestly felt horrible for him. Yes, he should have been less reckless and seen the signs, but she wasn’t wearing a ring and he had no idea who she was. But, no one wanted to listen or accept his apology, especially Brick.
Geneva is Brick’s sister and helps with the equipment for the team. She is just getting to know Brick and is coming off of a bad relationship, so she undoubtedly has her brother’s back and wants nothing to do with Axel. If only her attraction to him wasn’t so prevalent. She tries to stay away, but he sets his sights on her. As he comes to her with Bria’s (Brick’s wife) threats, she starts realizing that maybe he isn’t as bad as she originally thought.
There are a lot of great moment in this book. I liked how he didn’t give up on her, even when he probably should have. I liked how she owned her underestimation of Axel. My head broke for Brick, he didn’t deserve what his wife did. Both the cheating and what she does throughout the book. I adored how Axel took charge when the family needed him to and he proved he could be trusted and that he lives Geneva.
I highly recommend this book and hope Brick gets his much needed happily ever after. I can’t wait to see what is in store for us. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

Axel is called up from the minors to his NHL team the Seattle Sockeyes which is his dream come true. His team is on the road for a game so he figures he would meet up with them in the morning but in the mean time go to a bar to celebrate and pass the time. He has a one night stand only to find out when he takes her home, that she's married, and it's to his teammate Jock! And now the trouble starts! He has a reputation of a player, and some of his teammates don't like him and it's caused a lot of friction. So much so that his coach is not happy with either of them and forces them to share a room when they travel and to have dinner together each week.
Geneva, Jock's sister has had a rough past and comes to comes to live with her brother and his family and hates her sister in law. Geneva gets a temporary job as an equipment intern with the Sockeyes. When Axel and Geneva meet sparks fly and they are attracted to each other but he didn't know she was related to Jock and she doesn't believe him about her sister in law. Axel realizes he has to fix what happened if he's to have any chance with Geneva and get along with his teammates.
Oh lets not forget Jock's crazy wife who is stalking Axel and creates all kinds of trouble.

I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

4.5 stars! I really enjoyed this story and love Axel and Geneva. I love that Jami always comes up with characters that have not your average back story. Geneva and Axel meet in a very unusual way and I was happy when Geneva believed Axel and could look past the biggest mistake of his life and give him a chance. They have more in common than they realize. This is new territory for both of them, being in a relationship, so that is telling as to how much chemistry they have and how much they want to get to know each other. I love Geneva! She is a strong, independent woman, drives a Harley and is all in all pretty cool! Axel is just adorable once you see past the arrogance and cockiness of a rookie hockey player who is finally getting his chance in the big show. He used to be a major player but one look at Geneva and that ended for him. I love how she was able to bring him to his knees like that without even trying.
This book has all the right stuff; awesome story, Interesting characters-both main and supporting, heat, humor and emotion and let’s not forget hockey. Which I am totally missing during this crazy time! This was a really nice escape from the reality that is life right now!

Every hockey player can't wait to get called up to play in the NHL. Alex finally got the call and had to wait in a hotel room for the team to come back from their away series. With too much time on his hands, Alex spends the night with a woman until the wee hours when she realizes she has to get home immediately. This can't go well. It turns from bad to worse as Alex gets confronted by one of his new teammates, Jock, when Alex drops the wife off at home (he didn't know).
As if breaking the brotherhood code wasn't bad enough, Jock's hot sister is watching it all and Alex can't help but be mesmerized by her. Clearly he's young and a glutton for punishment. Now Alex has to prove to his new team that he's not that guy and is a great player but he's in a slump and can't find his groove. The front office, makes Alex and Jock play nice or they'll both be looking for new teams next year. In the meantime, Jock's sister, Geneva is an intern for the team and has the hots for Alex. As much as they try to deny the chemistry, Alex is working hard to "woo" Geneva.
I don't want to give everything away but I really enjoyed this book and the ending. Sometimes you can overcome mistakes. A great read!

If you love hockey or sports romances Blocked is a must read, it’s a story that will captivate you and it has characters you can’t help falling in love with. Blocked is Axel and Geneva’s story and what a tale they have to tell ...........
Axel has just joined the team and before his signature on his contract is dry he makes the biggest mistake of his career and now he finds himself on the wrong side of his teammates, can he make things right with the team and what happens when he falls for the sister of the man most upset with him. Geneva wants to hate Axel because she doesn’t suffer fools gladly but what he did may have been foolish but it doesn’t make him a fool, problem is will she allow him to show her the real man...
A strong heroine and a swoon worthy hero all help to make this a great read but for me it was getting to know the real Axel that made this an outstanding read, I loved how he wasn’t afraid to put his feelings on the line when it came to Geneva and he did what was needed to make amends with his teammates. This is a book with all the feels and I highly recommend it .
