There’s a new ghost in town. Librarian Ripley Van Raden meets a mysterious woman roaming the stacks at Bilson Library. She needs Ripley’s help with finding out who killed her friend. Since Ripley deals with spooky spirits all the time, the woman thinks Ripley is just the person for the job.
Ripley isn’t just a librarian, she’s a haunted tour guide leading people around the haunted streets of Devil’s Moon, Kentucky. Plus, Ripley communicates with ghosts via text, phone, email, or any tech gadget available. And her nifty psychic medium talent might just come in handy with finding a killer.

So many ghosts in this story! A murder victim, Annie, who is always around, and an evil spirit...or maybe even a demon! Ripley is such a fun character. And even if she’s scared, she doesn’t let it stop her from investigating or helping a friend. I love how Tammy always stands by her, even though she’s scared by all the Paranormal activity. This is a fun, easy to read story. I don’t know what took me so long to get back to reading this series, but I’m so glad I did!
I have read several books by Rose Pressey and enjoyed everyone of them.. This book has murder, ghosts, a cat, a woman who sees ghosts, a handsome deputy friendship and a touch of romance all wrapped up in a cozy mystery. Fun read.
The storyline of a librarian who can see ghosts and has a nightly ghost tour is good. The characters are well defined . However, the writing is somewhat juvenile and not very cohesive. Ripley's thoughts are.scattered and don't match the storyline. She is constantly afraid and runs into deserted areas when panicked. Unless the writing improves, I may have to stop reading this series.
Lots of drama, lots of humour and plenty of ghosts. Couldn't resist reading this in one fell swoop. It had a great story line and several twists and turns. I found this mystery extremely captivating, riveting, and really entertaining. Great author, fantastic series!!!
This another great book in this series. I love the mystery that each book has in this series. I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Totally enjoyed this story, especially the interaction of Ripley and Haley, the ghost. Haley added that little bit of extra spice to the story. The only part I didn’t get was Brannon’s attitude just before the end (no spoilers so I will not go into detail), it just confused me.
Rip certainly gets herself into a pickle with this one. An abandoned school that's haunted, a Psychic and a murder. Ghosts, and Mrs Clutterbuck saves the day. These books are getting more intense I do like them though.
