The threat of London falling into oblivion is real, the Rabid Zombies are real, is there any chance of this great Capital City fighting back?
Andy Richards battled hard, against the odds to get his two children to relative safety when the infectious outbreak hit, the horror fresh in their minds. Now -- Faced with an impossible ultimatum, Andy is forced back into the fight to save London, putting the people he loves most in danger.
London in chaos, the mission extreme, choices are limited. Will the help of Special Forces tip the balance in Andy’s favour? – Only time will tell!
The ride doesn’t relent and neither does the emotion -- Capital Falling 2 - Denial -- doesn’t hold back, that isn’t an option!

This series has all the makings of a blockbuster movie. Solid well written action from start to finish. The only downside is waiting for the third book to land. The story line is very well thought out, each major character had believable growth. It's obvious that the writer knew what he was talking about with all the military stuff. It was either very well researched or was the life he lived. It was touching how the lead character was more concerned with his childrens wellbeing than his own, every thing he did was done with them in mind. This series is unmissable and I can't wait to read the next book.
Book 2 in the Capital Falling series and another gripping thriller! The author describes each scene with real depth that you can picture it so vividly. This time you learn more about Andy and Josh's relationship and you follow them both on a frightening, captivating mission in a race against time. Andy is as strong as ever, he is met with challenges throughout and the author cleverly takes you through his emotions. I highly recommended this book, it will definitely leave you wanting more!
This trilogy is really awesome, the military aspect is done nicely and the fact that it takes place in what basically is the early stages of "outbreak" makes it a continues thrill ride.
Read it as soon as it was released, was really looking forward to it after book 1. Book 2 Denial, didn't disappoint it was great, definitely recommend, so much more than just a Zombie book!
The second book is sloppy compared to the first one. Little contradictions and inconsistencies sum up. Too much inner monologues during action scenes. Just not authentic and takes away the suspense. This could and should have been done during down times, instead of all the scenery we got to enjoy. The latter could have been done with less words and still achieved the same imagination in the reader picturing it. The author again gets caught up in describing mundane tasks in such precise and often useless detail, it takes almost 5 pages to drive 15 mins in a car from point A to B. It is really exhausting to read at times to the point i started to scroll over those info dumbs. Because there is no action or any story furthering information. It only serves to describe the surroundings. Picture the world. Too many words. Normally you find in books, the opposite, it lacks detail. But here it is simply too much detail. It’s like a new invention for a page filler. Because the author even repeats the details, as if I didn’t get it the first time he stated it.
The dialogues with Emily always feel stilted and repetitive, just different words same meaning. The interaction with the child Emily didn’t feel natural, it instead felt more to serve the point to show how close they are to each other and not an authentic interaction.
I am almost half way through the book and Andy just traveled around the airport to get organised and it simply is not much of a story plot.
What I also found questionable was the inner speech about the British Allies or lack of it in such a situation. Not sure in what year the story took place but it was published in 2019, maybe i am wrong but I would have expected a more globally and European approach than the support of Trump. But what do I know.
Maybe I am a bit harsh in my critics, but I just saw the potential in this book and it only needs a good editor. I also compared it to the Extinction series by Nicholas Sansbury Smith which i really liked. The story and characters are really interesting , just the writing style needs improvement. When to go into detail when not, when to have a longer inner monologues and when it is simply a hindrance. And for most the small repetitions need to be proof-read. Otherwise good book and I am not saying that often to a 2 star rating.
So far two books down and the Rapids are still not killed and we don't know how they got the virus, who invented it, or how to treat it. It looks like it will book 5 before this tragedy is going to end. I am going to take a break and read something funny before I delve back into the zombie apocalypse.
Wow. Fierce fighting energy from both sides, forces and zombies. Meanwhile the mission to rescue a load of documents from a safe. Fighting zombies, and thunderstorms in helicopters.
Didn't take me long to read the second book in the series and enjoyed it alot more than the first. There's something about how the author is descriptive in his writing that I really love, just about to dive into the third book.
Loving it. Loads of action and uncertainty. Saddened to see good characters die. Not a dull moment throughout. Most definitely looking forward to the next installment. Superb. Definitely one of my more enjoyable zombie books
This series is getting better the more you read this books lots of action and is fast moving if you have never read Lance then this series of books is a good place to start, I am on to book 3 now.
A very compelling rollercoaster ride of action, misgivings with gritty, intensive and atmospheric fight with the aggressive Rabids! Well worth a read and very much highly recommended too.
Great read. Seamlessly carries on from Capital Falling (1) also answering questions from the first book. Equally a page turner so enthralling can’t wait for book 3. Keep up the good work.
