**This book can be read as a standalone, although there is character and timeline crossover and may contain spoilers from the other books in the series.

After her divorce, Sarah Turner is busy trying to make a new life for herself and her young daughter. She's moved almost a thousand miles to live in a new town and is learning to juggle the challenges of being a single mom. The last thing she expected was to come face-to-face with her first love, the man who ripped her heart to shreds so many years ago.

He's not the same person she fell in love with. So why do those green eyes on her still make her as crazy as they did in high school? There's a darkness inside of him now. She knows she should stay far away, but she can't deny that there's still something between them.

Sean Parker has a plan. Marry the woman chosen by his father in order to get control of the Washington, D.C. branch of his family's business. It doesn't matter that he doesn't love the girl. He doesn't even believe in that ridiculous fairy tale. Not anymore.

Seeing the first and only girl he ever loved again after so many years isn't going to change anything.

Except it has. Changed everything.

He thought the dreams they once shared were dead and buried, but having this amazing girl back in his life is rocking his world, making him dare to hope once again for things he was sure he could never have.

Somehow Sean's found a way to put the light back in her little girl's eyes, and Sarah wonders if that sweet boy she grew up with is still inside of him somewhere. Maybe there's a chance for them after all. Maybe forgiveness can shine light on their dark.

The losses they've faced seem insurmountable, but the ghosts from the past must finally be laid to rest. Will their hearts finally find forever, or will they be crushed?

**Warning...this story contains sexually explicit scenes between consenting adults. It is intended only for readers 18+ who enjoy sexy, no-rules love stories. It is the fifth book in the Wrecked Hearts series, but can be read as a standalone. The series order is: LIT, BURNED, CONSUMED, SHATTERED, CRUSHED.

Great

Lovely story about true love. I know most people laugh at young, first love but sometimes that is the purest form. I loved Sean. He was true to himself and was willing to give everything for Sarah. The relationship with Beth was heartwarming. Love it

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I had been anxiously awaiting Sean and Sarah’s story so I was so excited to get the opportunity to read and review the book before release day. Gabrielle Gibson is One of the authors I will always read because she writes about real and raw subjects in such a natural realistic way. I’m also a sucker for angst and will gladly torment my heart with books that wreck me—generally I can easily rely on GiGi to rip my heart out.

I really enjoyed reading Sean and Sarah’s story and loved that it include past and present snippets of their lives. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and for there to be some big thing that tore them apart briefly or caused some sort of conflict, but it never happened because they made their choice and couldn’t be tempted in any way. So while I have to admit the book didn’t quite destroy me in the way I anticipated, GiGi still delivered a great love story that didn’t disappoint. I’d actually say it was borderline insta-love, but done in a way that is bearable. I’m generally a hard sell on insta-love, but this was actually a pretty refreshing read. There wasn’t all the messy complicated wish-washy obstacles—technically there COULD have been, but they weren’t anything the characters decided to let get between them. Sean and Sarah really just wanted to be together and chose to make it work to get to the outcome they saw for themselves and it was exactly what they both needed from their love story too.

Compared to the other books in the series, I’d say this one is a much lighter and easier read for the heart and perfect for an addition to this series—especially if you were to read from book one continuously through book five.

Can’t wait to see what book six does to my heart.

So much pain and darkness

Sarah had gone through a hard childhood with an alcoholic father and her Mom dying young. She and her twin brother had basically raised each other. She had gone to college, had a career, gotten married and had a beautiful daughter. Now she was single, trying to start over with her daughter, living with her brother and just barely finding time to breathe. At a gathering of friends to watch a sporting event, she looked up and there he was, the boy who had crushed her heart so many years ago.

Sean’s life was hell. There had only been one time in his life that it hadn’t been. For years he had been in that dark place with his brother gone, working for his father’s company, a marriage coming up that had nothing to do with love.. just a business arrangement between his father and hers, no love..he would never know that again. Such a dark place to be, so much anger and sadness. He couldn’t breathe. He was drowning in it. He was at a friend’s house and when he looked up she was there. The girl who had crushed him all those years ago.

This is an awesome story! Take some time and enjoy it.

Let’s start by saying this is much better than its predecessor books! Mind you the bar was set very low at that point!

Sean and Sarah were childhood sweethearts. They couldn’t have come from more different backgrounds though. Something happens and she ends up breaking things off, never talking to him and moves on to college, where she later meets her husband (now ex). After the divorce, she moves closer with her daughter to her brother (Jack the 🔔 🔚 from the previous books)

She’s wasn’t aware the Sean and Jack are friends but soon she grows close again with Sean but he is different now, darker.

This is the fifth book in the wrecked heart series, and this is a stand-alone book but does have characters from previous books in this series, this is a second chance romance where a couple come back together after dealing with hardships on both sides, can they make it this time around? You’ll have to read to find out I’d definitely recommend this book.

This is the 1st book I've read written by Gabrielle Gibson; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

Loved this one!

The story merged so well with the other books. I loved how strong Sarah was and the fact that there was no cheating involved. The Jack and Jessie story line previous to this book was a roller coaster but not always in a good way. Whereas this book had such a lovely feel to it, romantic but also very steamy! A very good ending as well. All the books are written really well and I look forward to more books from this author. Can’t wait!

A new author to me but in many ways a difficult read. The author deals with dark subjects and real life issues. Some parts were hard to read. This is a second chance read about Sean and Sarah. I am already looking forward to the next book.

I have never read anything from this author so I had no idea what to expect when I started this book. First of all I have to say that the story would have been better if it were told in the first person. But other than that. Sean and Sarah were great characters and this was a good second chance story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Good, happy sad story

I have to say a lot of emotion in this story. I am a believer that everything happens for a reason to make us who we are though sometimes very difficult. I hate that Sarah and Sean lost out on love for so many years and that Beth had such a douchebag for a father. So happy they all found their way back.

This Book can be read as a stand alone but it does interconnect with the other books in this series. The characters are well written and the storyline has drama conflict and twists.

Wonderfully written

Sean and Sarah bring such great chemistry to this second chance romance. As much as they fight their feelings, an HEA is on their horizon. A one sitting read for me.

Once I start reading this story I could not put it down until I'm done! The only down fall I had was the beginning was a little slow for me, but I am really glad that I stuck it out.

This is the fifth book in the Wrecked Hearts Book series. This is Sean and Sarah's story that is dark but they get to have their second chance at a HEA.
