I smirk. I’m annoying her and she’s not bothering to hide it. It’s the first time all week that someone hasn’t been especially nice to me because I’m good looking or because they want something from me.
In fact, she’s being a little rude. But I’m a New Yorker. Rudeness doesn’t faze me one bit. In fact, it makes me want to push her buttons harder.
It’s been years and I never found that bar again. I never see Jane again. But I never forget the sad-eyed, broken-hearted, tattooed, Irish artist-slash-bartender.
I see her name in stars.
Jane: “Are you ever going to tell me why you hate that bloody band so much?” my best friend muses.
I don’t hate the whole band. I only hate that fucking blonde singer.
I hate knowing that I could be in the same building as the tall, tattooed devil himself and that I could push my way to the front and watch him sing and sweat and rile up several thousand women who all wish they could find their way into his pants after the show.
I hate that I know what it feels like to have his hot, muscled body on top of me. I know what’s like to get naked with him and let him make me come. Over and over.
I also hate that I know what it feels like to wake up in an empty bed after being absolutely ravished by Dylan Cotter, never to hear from him again and I hate that after all this time, I still think about it.

Dylan met the snarky Jane at a bar she’s working and they have one mind blowing night. It’s the next morning where things go awry. Jack goes for breakfast and leaves a note, a note that Jane never saw so upon waking up alone in bed she literally locks Dylan out of her life.
Seven years later it’s a chance meeting and the misunderstanding comes to light. The thing is Jane has been left by people she thought loved her throughout her life only to make her very anxious around others…never trusting. She has a very low opinion of herself but its Dylan who knows how to bring out the best…and worst in her. Will Jane ever be able to trust Dylan and his feelings?
I voluntarily received a copy of this book for an honest review!
I have to say this wasn’t my cup of tea. It felt rushed in the beginning and then so drawn out in the middle and again quite a rush at the end. I fully expected more from a character that seems so hard shelled, she quickly gave it up and then gave it up when he comes back again. I’m not saying it wasn’t an act but it was a bad act either way. The ending was great glad everything came together as it should. I haven’t ever read anything else by this author but I would give her another try.
This was a good read. As you can tell by title this is Dylan's story. He had met Jane 7 years ago but due to a misunderstanding they didn't see each other until now. Things were definitely rough at first but they got through it. By the end they were able to finally be happy and get the ending they both deserved.
I was really looking forward to this 4th book in the Say Yes series about the lead singer Dylan…and I was not disappointed. Although I must admit to viewing him as a Selfish, Rude, Egotistical Bastard for a measurable amount of time, he finally won me over in the end. Jane, his very significant other, drove me a bit crazy with her self-depreciating ways and there equally as many times I just wanted to shake her a bit to accept the love and acceptance around her. But she too finally came to her senses…thank goodness. Overall, this kind of second chance romance love story truly had me rooting for both of them to find their HEA and I was very pleased that they are on their way to another satisfying coupling like all their other band mates.
Dylan was the story I couldn’t wait to get to. This guy sounded so hot, lead singer of Say Yes. He was tall, light blue eyes and very light wheat color blonde hair, what’s not to love. He had met Jane seven years prior and they had one amazing night. They meet again present time by chance and it’s on, kind of quickly. Jane tells him of her insecurities and he drives off and only comes back to her that night because she made the booty call. I had a really hard time liking Dylan. He started growing on me when he started to grovel, which he did exceptionally well. The ending was a little rushed but still good. I recommend this book and I’m off to read book five.
I received a free ARC of this novel via Hidden Gems in exchange for an honest review. My opinion is my own.
This is the last book in the Say Yes series. The stories would be OKAY without reading the others but it wouldn't be quiet as good. There was nice flow between all of the characters. The female lead in this book was one of my favorites. She had a rough life but was still trying to better herself. This was a decent second chance romance as well if that is your thing. I would read more by this author.
I thought it was a good read. It wasn't a long read (or didn't feel that way), and had plenty of fun side characters. I would have preferred to read more about Dylan and Jane as they get to know each other. The book ended quite abruptly, I feel.
7 years ago, Dylan and Jane had a 1 night stand, but they both left with after a huge misunderstanding. When Dylan finally sees Jane again, he finds that their chemistry hasn't changed. However, they'll need to work through their history.
Amazing series, looking forward to reading the next book. BUT, it makes me sad that it is the final one of the set. Awesome job Amelia, keep up the great work.!! 💓💓
**My thanks to Hidden Gems and the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**
This is the first book from the author that i have read and i enjoyed it immensly and it can be read as a stand alone book. However i enjoyed it so much that i will probably go back and read the rest of the series lol.
Dylan and Jane first meet before he gets famous and after a one night stand they both never forget each other, however they try. Seven years later it is mutual friends that reintroduce them, where shy Jane has a panic attack. However when leaving Dylan takes her home and a misunderstanding is put right and they embark on a relationship that is both hot, but also full of trouble understanding where the other is coming from.
Jane has been hurt by all the people who were supposed to be there for her and is now skittish and shy to trust. Dylan feels like he is never going to be successful enough and it causes strife between them, however his band stand behind him even though the dynamics are changing.
I love how Dylan both gave Jane space when needed, asked her best friend Kelvin for help and advice, but never gave up fighting for her.
Misunderstandings from the past may stop them from having a future this second time around
Say Yes: Dylan is the first book I have read by Amelia Mae and was not sure what to expect as it is part of the Say Yes series and this is a "new to me" author. I did like this second chance at love story between Dylan and Jane. They shared one incredible night together but things went wrong the afterwards. Now it is seven years later and their paths cross again. The question for each is whether they are able to communicate honestly with each other and take the same path into a future together or do they take separate paths again and wonder "what if" forever. Overall I found Say Yes: Dylan to be an engaging and fun story, even though it had some darker moments. The characters are wonderfully written with some depth and understanding. I would recommend this book to others and I will be picking up the previous books in this series to meet the rest of the couples and discover their stories.

First book for me by Amelia Mae and I like her writing style.
Others have done a good job of outlining the book. Here's what I liked
The author has written two main characters that have depth. They both have family issues, true blue friends, and are trying to overcome the doubts that chase after people who have been traumatized and abandoned by those who are never supposed to do that.
They found each other once and through misfortune, lost each other..... only to come back into each other's orbit years later. The characters have chemistry and they sizzle when they are together. The dialogue is solid and the supporting characters come through as interesting to me ... makes me want to read the rest of the series.
Why not 5 stars? I would have liked to know more about the subplots around their family. It's told to me, but doesn't really come to life as much as if a few more chapters would have been devoted to it. ... but it won't stop me from reading the series to learn about the other characters. ...and I'm now following the author.
Say Yes: Dylan (Say Yes Series Book 4) by Amelia May is an enjoyable Rockstar romance with very interesting characters. I have not read the entire series and I wish I would have since many of the characters in Dylan’s books have their own stories and I am absolutely curious about them as well. But Dylan and Jane’s story certainly pulled my heartstrings. These two are as different, almost like opposites, as they are the same. It takes some work for them to get their HEA, but they absolutely do! Overall, a good book with great characters all around, an interesting and engaging plot, and as mentioned, an HEA. I read an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.
I was going between two and three stars so I ended on 2.5. There were parts of the book that I did like but overall i was annoyed throughout the book. The prologue was rushed through and so was the beginning when they re-connect. The way Jane is throughout the book does not seem at all like how she was in the prologue. He character annoyed me. She was constantly running away from her problems and not dealing with anything or overthinking things and creating a problem where there wasn't one. Dylan's character also annoyed me later in the book when he became selfish but he was able to redeem himself. There were also timing issues with the plot where a time frame was mentioned but then shortly later it changed.
This was a very good addition to an already great series! Dylan met Jane when he went to LA to audition with bands. They hit it off and had an amazing night. Then things got tricky and misunderstood. Seven years later fate brings them back together. But can they recapture the chemistry that they had on their one night together so long ago? I really liked Jane. She was flawed and so very human, not to mention all that she’s gone through. While I did like Dylan, I felt that he was pretty selfish at one point. I’m glad Jane was finally ready to color in her map! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I enjoyed this sexy story. Jane and Dylan hook up for one night, and due to a missunderstanding, don't see each other again until 7 years later. Jane has been mad at Dylan for ditching her 7 years ago. Dylan has always wondered why Jane ditched him. Dylan has become the rockstar he always wanted to be, partially due to a song he wrote about Jane. Their both shocked to see each other again, and are still very attracted to each other. Can Jane breakout of her shell enough to start living? Can Dylan learn to accept that he has a family? You'll have to read the story to find out!
Good Rock Star romance. Dylan Mets Julia, artist/bartender 7 years ago. One night of hot sex and they never forgotten each other. Now part of the band, Say Yes, Dylan can and does get any woman he wants, but he can’t get over Julia. Even writes a song about her, which she hates every time she hears it...At a party to meet his cousin’s boyfriend, Dylan runs in Julia. The connection is still there. Slowly they start things back up. After learning to let go of their past, they can have a HEA ending.
I found this book quiet lacking it had a good storyline but I kind of wanted more background to the characters who were easy to relate too but hard in another sense as you never quite get to the bottom of why they are like they are etc
It was an enjoyable easy read and would recommend it to anyone wanting a quick fix romance but just wasn’t the book for me
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is the 4th book in the series but can be read as a standalone. It's a second chance romance with a HEA ending. Dylan and Jane have a one night stand that ends with a big misunderstanding and a huge hit song. The song that's been on the radio for seven long years and has made her think of that night everytime it plays. I really enjoyed this whole series. Definitely a must read.
This was a great book about Dylan, the rockstar and Jane, the bartender/artist. Fate brought them back together 7 years after a one night stand. I loved both characters, they were very well written.
This one was a fun read! I really like Jane. I can relate to her so well. Dylan angered me a bit throughout the story, but he eventually grew on me. Excellent story!
