Rate this book
This masterpiece takes us on a beautiful evolutionary journey as parents, and helps sculpture our children into strong and wonderful human beings.~ Dr. (Mrs.) Namita SharmaPrincipal, Queens Valley School, New Delhi.Every conversation between the parent and child is so real and grounded, yet teaches potentially life elevating lessons - both for parents - and children.~ Dr. Anil Kumar ParasharJt. Registrar (Rtd.), National Human Rights CommissionThe children of today’s generation are street smart and worldly-wise. Perhaps the only area where they lack are the softer aspects of life. The good news is that they will easily imbibe all essential life skills if we, as parents, can just find time to interact with them every day. This book is no 'gyan' on parenting. It is a diary of my real-life interactions with my fairies during their growing years. In each of the 28 father-daughter interactions presented in the book, there are 57 life elevating lessons for our children and for us well.

This is Manoj's latest addition to his authored books and like all his previous books, it is a book that teaches the reader or reinforces something that the reader already knew but had either not focused much on or had forgotten. Having a grown up daughter and 2 grandkids, many of the concepts in the book took me back to the time my daughter was growing up but I found the same concepts of parenting still apply to my grandkids. Manoj as usual in his simplistic and fluid language brings forth these important lessons in upbringing children in these times and in the process we get to know his friendly and advisory parenting skills imparted to his fairies.

One word: Outstanding!

One sentence: This book is not only for Parents but also for every human being who wants to learn simple but extremely useful lessons which should be implemented in our day in day out activities.

I have read Manoj Arora’s other books like ‘From the Rat race to financial freedom’ and ‘The Autobiography of a Stock’. This ‘A Father’s Dairy’ is one more masterpiece. This books give you 57 wonderful lessons. Each lesson has a very deep meaning and it will definitely change your way of looking at life’s difficult situations.

It’s difficult for me to answer if someone asks me which my favorite’s lessons are. I would say all 57! Still I try to quote one or two. “There is no right or wrong decision. Fast decision making is the essence” and “Life is paradoxical. What’s good for you, may be disastrous for someone else”

I would have given more stars if I could! This is amazing book and everyone must read :)

Powerful anecdotal story of a father's conversations with his daughters

A Father’s Diary

An extremely powerful anecdotal story of a father’s conversation with his daughters.

As a reader I enjoyed the journey. The book is easy to read and has real life situations bringing out Life Lessons. Children often pose us with questions, which can be a lot hard-to-answer , but these questions can spark great conversations that build trust. In this book I enjoyed every bit of the conversation between the parents and the daughters.

At times there are these tricky questions which can make you squirm. Like “ But Why me Dad? Not even a single roll of 6 on the dice. I have not won a single game against her in the last 4 days. And I don’t understand she keeps getting 6 so frequently. Why am I denied?

This conversation leads to a Life Lesson- Why You? Because You are the chosen fortunate one. He (God) cannot give you anything that is not beneficial for you. The entire picture may reveal only in retrospect though. Have faith till then.

This book is for everyone. You may be at any stage of Life but I bet you will be able to relate to the book.I give the book 5 stars since I think it covers all Life Lessons relevant for today’s uncertain times.

My biggest goal is to be a role model for my son and lead him with example so as to see him become a responsible world citizen.
This book accelerated me towards my goal by familiarsing me with lessons learnt by author's experience. The simple yet effective way of writing is hallmark of Mr. Manoj Arora which instantly connects with reader.
I have implemented many lessons from this book yet many are still left which requires going back to this book again and again.
Happy Parenting, readers.
