Everything's going wrong. My friendship with Jake is falling apart, Dr.Dangerous isn't who I thought he was. People are putting themselves in danger and I don't know what to do. Every move I make to uncover the truth is defeated by forces I can't even see.
I joined the gold team, the producers even like me now, but it feels like I've abandoned everything that makes a good hero, in order to be a good hero.
Despite it all, Captain Fantastic still believes in me, and I can't figure out why.
But I won't give up.
This Friday Fitzsimmons story, is book 3 in the Hero High series and is set in the near future world of Icon City, a place filled with powered one-percenters.
Read the first three Friday Fitzsimmons novels in order:
DENIAL
ANGER
BARGAINING
or read them all together in one volume, Hero High: Figure In The Flames
Hi, I wrote a book, it's called Hero High, maybe you've heard of it? ... ... No? Huh? Weird. That's on you. Anyway, I refuse to get a "real" job, and live with my parents at the ripe old age 20, trying desperately to make a living off of writing. I have a patreon, where no one pays me, and a Wattpad series called The Lesser Gods, that no one reads. This writing thing is so easy. (Insert Julia Robert laugh here.)
My real name Is Marina Charalambides, but everyone said that was too hard. You know, just generally, so call me Mina Chara.
Bargaining is the third novel in the Hero High series by Mina Chara. This is my third novel by this author.
Continuing the journey of Friday. Things around her are starting to crumble. Her friendship with Jake is falling apart, and people are putting themselves in danger and she doesn’t know what to do. While the producers are beginning to like her, now that she is on the gold team, she starts to feel like a sell out. What makes a hero? The only good thing is that Captain Fantastic still believes in her and she does not want to give up.
This is my favorite so far. I love seeing characters not lose themselves when things around them are falling apart.
This was another action packed installment. Like usual, I wish the novel was longer. The ending just leaves you wanting.
If this is the end of this series, I look forward to reading the author’s next novel.
Bargaining by Mina Chara a flaming five-star read. This is number three in the Hero High series and they are best read in order, and they are all so quickly read you can read them all quickly, easily and enjoyably. Friday Fitzsimmons brings this story to life for me, I simply adore the character, there is something about them that juts keeps you on our toes, watching Friday deal with anxiety will help some deal with it, sowing them that they aren’t alone and how to recognise it. This is shaping to a very interesting and complex series that will surprise many.
We are back to Hero High with the whole gang. Friday trying to figure out her way in Hero High but has trouble adhering to there ways. She enjoys been with her friends. A short quick read about teenagers and there. Friday feels like she can't be her true self here she feels pressured. A nice adult fanstany book with plenty of action.
Bargaining is the third book in the Hero High series by Mina Chara. As with the first two books, this is a Young Adult fantasy adventure story set in a near future world, Icon City, and follows Friday Fitzsimmons on her incredible adventure. This book follows on from the first two, so I highly recommend reading “Denial” (Book One) and “Anger” (Book Two) before starting on this one- so you have all the backstory, character introductions, and other important facts that you will need in order to enjoy this book to the fullest extent. Friday still knows that she’s being watched- but since having joined the gold team the producers of the show seem to like her more. But Friday can’t help feeling like she’s not being true to herself- like a bit of a ‘sell-out’. She feels the weight of responsibility, and with things between her and Jake crumbling- she feels a little overwhelmed, like everything is falling apart. She will need to dig deep and be brave- there is even more at stake than ever before and she will need to stay strong in order to get through it all. Another great action-paced addition to the series- with so much to hold my interest- and that ending, OMG!!! So, if you love young adult fantasy, with mystery, adventure, and ‘superhero’ types- then this is definitely a book/series you won’t want to miss.
This is book three in Mina Chara’s ‘Hero High’ series featuring Friday Fitzsimmons. The series is set in the near future world of Icon City, a place filled with powered one-percenters. Although there is a brief catch up at the beginning of this novel, the series of books needs to be read in order, Denial, Anger, and then this book, Bargaining. The story centres around Friday Fitzsimmons who is a student at Hero High which is a famous school for people with powers. However Hero High is not just a school for trainee superheroes it is also a reality TV show and one of many on the Hero Channel. This book continues from, book two, Anger, and although Friday has joined the ‘Gold Team’ and is now liked by the producers of Hero High things are going wrong for her. Her relationship with friend Jake is falling apart, Dr.Dangerous is not who she thought he is and as soon as she is about to uncover the truth forces she can’t see interfere. Friday still has Captain Fantastic on her side though. This is another short read but packed full of adventure, a fast paced storyline continuing with Friday’s adventures at Hero High. I have come to love Friday over the three books and think she is a great lead character, very likeable and in this story she is still overcoming her acute anxiety of which she suffers, this to me makes her a relatable character. She is also doubting herself, as she wants to be a good super hero but is worried that she is loosing herself in the process. The world building is great and really pulls you in so you feel totally immersed in Icon City.
Bargaining is book 3 in the Hero High series by Mina Chara. I am really enjoying this series, but I recommend just buying the series as a whole. They should all be read together, as each book stops in a cliff hanger,in the middle of the story. I don't feel like each book is its own story. However, this was the best of the 3. There is so much going on in this book! So many shocks and surprises, action packed. Friday Fitzsimmons is a student at Hero High. A school for superheros (think XMen) however, the school also has a reality tv show. The students are constantly being filmed, dressed up for photo shoots, whisked off for PR events, on top of being teenagers, struggling through high school. To top it off, they are paired with a superhero mentor, and are already taking part is rescues. Friday wanted to stay in the background, but since day 1 has been up front and center. She feels like everything is going wrong. She keeps fighting with her best friend and handler Jake. Dr Dangerous, a superhero who is supposed to be dead, seems to have resurfaced (or a copycat) and has a fixation on her. And there is a man in flames that keeps showing up and causing trouble. There are so many shockers in this story, I don't want to give anything away. I highly recommend and cannot wait to see what happens next.
This is book 3 of the series and I’ve enjoyed reading each book. In this one, we find that the main character’s life is in shambles. As her friendship is crumbling, she discovers Mr Dangerous is perpetrating. She feels helpless as people are being compromised. Hidden figures are controlling the hidden truth she seeks to unveil. As she’s thrown into more of the spotlight, she’s losing herself through it all. Mr Fantastic believes in her probably because he knows who she is no matter what. Her main purpose hasn’t been lost in hindsight. Though this book wasn’t what I expected, especially after the previous ones. I personally feel like the main character lost her way somewhat in this series but Mr Fantastic quickly got her back as she was going off course which saved this last book for me. I’d fallen in love with the other two and didn’t wanna see her wind up like all the other characters but I don’t wanna give away too much of the premise. Overall, great book and beautiful series done by Mina Chara.
This series has really taken off with this third installment of Bargaining, Hero High book #3. I have read the other books in the series up to this one and I would recommend that you do as well to understand and follow the progression of things with Friday and the supporting characters. In this one we find Friday in a new slew of complications. Her best friend, Jake, and their relationship is falling to pieces, while the rest of the world around her seems to also be falling more and more apart each day. She has made great strides on the show and the producers have placed her in the Gold team but she starts to wonder what it really takes to be a hero and if she is going about things in the right way. I love how things seem realistic even for a dystopian novel, things could be possible and that makes the allure of these reads that much more drawing. I look forward to seeing what we will get next in the latest and newest installment in the series. I will definitely be back to see what will take place.
Bargaining is the third in the series of Mina Charas Hero High Series. The book starts with a very brief intro and a flashback to the end of the second book, but I really would recommend starting from book one if you haven’t already, for me it’s not the type of series you can start reading at any point. Book three continues to follow Friday Fitzsimmons. Friday is still battling enemies, but she also has internal struggles to battle. She knows what makes a good superhero, so why doesn’t she feel like one? I love the way you see Fridays character develop and grow throughout the series of books, she is strong yet insecure and vulnerable, which makes her very easy to relate to, she isn’t your run of the mill main character, which I really enjoy. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but if you’ve loved the books so far then this is a must read. It’s a short story but as usual it’s action packed, with a few surprises along the way!
Bargaining is the third book in Hero high series written by Mina China and I still do not know what to make of these stories but I do keep reading. This is Friday Fitzsimmons story and is set in the near future world of Icon City, a place filled with powered one-percenters, She finally joined the gold team, the producers even like her now, but it feels like she has abandoned everything that makes a good hero, in order to be a good hero. Everything is going wrong for her she still doesn’t know who to trust and people aren’t what they seem. Every move she makes to uncover the truth is defeated by forces she cannot even see. But she will not give up. Will Friday find out the truth? Will she learn who she can trust? You will need to read this story to find out….. I recommend this story/series. You have to read the books in order to follow the plot.
I have read a few books from this author and I am now a huge fan. This has turned into one of my favorite series of this year. I absolutely love a good young adult fantasy but this author exceeded my expectations. This is the third book from the Hero High series. You do have to read these books in order or you will be lost in knowing what’s going on. I was excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. I was addicted to these characters I read this book all the way through.
Friday is now part of the gold team but everything else is falling apart. She still feels like she is being watched and her friendship with Jake is breaking. Friday is now popular and even the film crew is helping her out. She doesn’t want to let Captain Fantastic down either. Friday is getting closer to figuring out who the new Dr. Dangerous is but when she finds out will it crush her dreams? Will Friday fight for what she believes in or will she have to give in?
Bargaining (Hero High Book 3) By Mina Chara 5 out of 5 stars
The story Bargaining (Hero High Book 3) by Mina Chara is the next exciting story in a wonderful series. It pulled me in, and I found myself lost in the storyline. I loved reading about the main character of Friday Fitzsimmons. The tale has action, danger, and even a bit of romance. The story is written in such a way that I feel like I am right there with Friday and the other characters in the book. This story has some twists that I did not see coming and I was turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. This is a fast-paced story that you will not want to put down. I enjoyed reading about the many different characters and how they all interact. There are some that I wondered about them and if they had ulterior motives. This is a book that is entertaining and addictive. I would highly recommend reading it.
Bargaining the 3rd book in the Hero High series, the book picks off where the last book finished. Friday is now hot on the trail of the golden syringes and has encountered Dr Dangerous again but doesn’t understand why he is so fascinated with her or why she has stated to have feelings for him too when she knows it is wrong. Throughout this book Friday starts to get more suspicious of the other supes around her and what their connections are to the golden syringes. She also finds out who the figure in the flames is, losing a part of herself on the way. Its hard to review this book without giving away the story but if you have read the first two instalments of this series you need to read this book too, the story is just getting better and I really need book 4 now to find out what happens next. Highly recommend.
5 Star Bargaining (Hero High Book 3) by Mina Chara is a short story that once you start reading you won’t be able to stop till the end. I can’t recommend this series enough and if you haven’t already read the first two books you definitely need to. Really they should be read in order then you will have a better understanding of what is going on as each follows the last one. So since joining the gold team the producers of the show seem to like her more but she knows she’s still being watched. Friday feels like the weight of the world is on her shoulders, things with Jonathan are rocky and she’s a bit overwhelmed with it all. She doesn’t feel as though she’s being true to herself and that makes her feel like a sell out. Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.
Bargaining by Mina Chara is the third book in the Hero High series. This is a series that does need to be read in order as it follows the same characters and their journey. I was so excited to get my hands on this book. I had enjoyed the first two books in the series and I was looking forward to seeing how this one would go. I loved that it was so easy to skip straight back into these characters, almost like I had never been away from them. As with the previous two books the story was exciting and fast paced. The author has done such a great job of developing it over the course of the series. As a relatively new author to me Mina Chara is one I have enjoyed discovering. I am looking forward to seeing what other work she has!
I am loving the Hero High series by Mina Chara. I highly recommend reading the first two books in this series to get an understanding of Friday Fitzisimmons story. The adventure continues at Hero High in Icon City. It is because of Friday that I love this series. She is so innocent and inquisitive. Mina Chara did an amazing job with her attention to detail and character development. Not only did she create amazing characters but also a high tech world to entertain the reader. Friday is still trying to work on her life. She is a little confused in who she can trust and if the people in her life can help her. She is trying to be a good hero but is her faith in people stirring her in the wrong direction? I highly recommend this book as you will not want to put it down.
Bargaining (Hero High Book 3) by Mina Chara - Review by Makaela Patterson
So here we are at the third book of this series. This was a very interesting read the story didn’t go into the direction I thought would. It wasn’t a bad thing. It just took me by surprise. This series was fun with Dynamic characters. Book three was all about turmoil and everything just crashing around Especially her friendship with Jake. As you read the book it becomes clear that she doesn’t believe in herself; or thinks she has what it takes to be the best. She has to find the courage to embrace her powers, and believe in herself to fight this battle she has ahead. To help save everyone. This book picks up relatively quickly after the close of book two. You will not be disappointed with this read.
Bargaining Hero High Book 3 By Mina Chara ☆☆☆☆☆ This is a Young Adult fantasy story. This book should be read after Denial and Anger. Bargaining picks up where Anger left off. You are in the future built around the fantasy world. By reading the in order, you will become familiar with all of the characters. You will also find growth, as Friday tries to figure out what she really wants. Remembering Friday is also still being watched and is trying to lay low.
Mina Chara has continued to keep the YA's entertained with this the third book in her series. It is a must read, loaded with fantasy and adventure. Included are the superheroes, all while keeping them reading. Big props to Mina Chara for encouraging teens to read. Adults would also enjoy this short story as well.
This is the third book in the Hero High series...and you should definitely read the first two prior to starting this one. This book is a continuation from the second book. Friday is trying to figure out who she is as a superhero...trying to be true to herself while making the producers happy. Her relationship with her best friend is struggling and she doesn't know why everything around here seems so crazy.
This series is not one I would usually read, as it is not a genre I typically choose, but it has kept me entertained and wanting to find out what happens next. Like the other books, it is a fairly quick read that is full of action. It is worth picking up and reading...and I will definitely be interested in what Mina Chara comes up with next!
This is the last of the three books about Friday Fitzsimmons and the Figure In The Flames (to read all three in a single volume, read Hero High: Figure In The Flames.
Once the identity of the Figure is revealed, Friday sets out to stop him, but is he the ultimate villain or is someone else pulling the strings? With even Captain Fantastic laid low, the stakes are higher than ever and when Friday realizes the identity of the villainous Dr Dangerous - I don't want to spoil it, but I loved the end!
This is the third book in this series, it is my favorite yet so far. I highly suggest reading all the books in this series to help enrich your enjoyment of the characters and the stories. The characters bring the story to life and made me feel as if I was right there with them. In this book everything seems to be falling apart, people are not who you think they are. By joining the gold team, it could mean giving up everything a good hero is meant to be. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. This is a really great book that kept me turning pages to the end. You won’t regret picking up this series.
Bargaining (Hero High Book 3) by Mina Chara. This is the continuing story of Hero High and Friday Fitzsimmons and her life. It is better to read these books in order to keep up with the story line. Her friendship with Jake is falling apart and Dr Dangerous is not who she thinks he is. People are starting to put themselves in danger and she doesn't know what to do. She is trying to find the truth but keeps getting shut down. She has joined the gold team and the producers even are warming up to her and Captain Fantastic still believes in her. She is determined not to give up but is afraid she is going to get in real trouble if she doesn't watch it. Read Bargaining to find out what happens.
Bargaining (Hero High Book 3) by Mina Chara. Another great addition to a great series. I strongly recommend you reading them in order. Once again we taken on a journey Friday and a whole great cast of characters. Each one of these has gotten even better and this one definitely stuck to that. I love how unique and original this set is. Each character brings something different to the storyline and I enjoy them each for different reasons. It’s on the smaller side but that doesn’t hinder the punch it has. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Four big stars and highly recommended!
This is third book in the hero high series and it is my favorite so far. I highly suggest reading all of the books in order to get the best reading experience the author intended us readers to have! The characters are the best part of this series because I can't help but like them and because the the story is well written I feel like I am right there with them, experiencing everything too. There is a lot of twists and turns in this book and people aren't what they seem. Go get this series now! It is worth the read and I am looking forward to seeing what else this author will come up with soon. Happy Reading!
Bargaining by Mina Chara is the third book in the Hero High series. Friday's story continues in another fast paced story. Her life is changing rapidly, and she is trying to figure out who is actually on her side. She finds out people have ulterior motives, and she has to figure out what she wants to fight for. Will she make the right decisions? I have enjoyed these books. They are quick, action packed reads about a young lady who just wants to find her place in the world. Be it she has super powers, but she is still relatable. I really enjoy the characters and the story line. I look forward to reading more in the future from this author.
Bargaining is the third book in the Hero High series by Mina Chara. This book really ties up this series. I’m so glad I chose to read this series. I found the character development and world building to be detailed and easily relatable. This series needs to be read in order or you will miss too much back stories. I found this book to be my favorite of all three. Friday Fitzsimmons Story continues, and it is full of action and adventure as she tries to figure out the good vs. evil in her life. This YA series is addicting and it has some twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting. I highly recommend this book, series, and author.
Bargaining is the third book in the Hero High series by Mina Chara. This story is about Friday Fitzsimmons and her struggles. There seems to be something wrong with her long time best friend Jake. She isn’t sure Dr. Dangerous, the villain, is who he is supposed to be. Being a part of the gold team has her starting to question things. Is she doing the right thing? Are all the cameras, the glitz and the glam, and the “villains” really what being a hero is all about? Friday is determined not to fail, especially because Captain Fantastic seems to think she can do the right thing. I was able to read this story in a matter of hours but still thoroughly enjoyed it.
Bargaining by Mina Chara is book 3 in the series and is a 4 star read. This book finds Friday fighting against everyone, not sure who is on the side of good or bad, her friendship with Jake is suffering and she’s getting closer to Ashley, but everyone has secrets, can Friday save the day without getting hurt? This was a quick read and I enjoyed catching up with Friday and seeing how her superhero power would stand up against everyone else’s. The ending fell a little flat for me and I’m hoping there’s more to come.
So far this has been my favorite book in the series. We see a lot of action, answers to questions and shock...yes I was shocked. Things are turned upside down and I was not prepared but then I was disappointed in a certain character. But I do love watching Friday use her powers and always wondering what she is going to do next.
Anyway this is fun and like I said full of action. It kept my interest and made me want to know what was going to happen next. I was really able to stick with the characters and hope for their success. Friday’s story was a treat to read.
Bargaining (Hero High Book 3) by Mina Chara is a Young Adult fantasy adventure story. Set in the future where hero’s are the norm and their lives are broadcast on television for all to see. In this book everything comes to head and we see who is who and which side they are on. You need to read these books in order as they flow on from each other and you will miss out on the story and how we get to each book. It is action packed and explosive and completely compelling. Just what makes a true hero? This is one series that should not be missed.
