There were so many grammatical errors.
Commas upon commas when a comma wasn't even needed.
Can you imagine how hard it is to read something like that?
If this story was any good, I wouldn't know because the commas kept distracting me.

Not bad for your first book. Story is decent. However, you may want another edit for missing words or grammar check. It does not detract too bad from the story itself.
I will read the next book cuz I want to know what happens next. It's good that you leave cliffhanger that entices the reader to need to find out more.
Keep it up and you will go far as an author.

This was the third book in this series. I enjoyed Mason and Everleigh's story. Lee has escaped an abusive ex. She meets Mason Moretti and sparks fly. Mason is wary of getting involved again but he is drawn to Everleigh. This was a really good story and I'm looking forward to next book after that cliffy.

Who’s to blame when life gives you two lies and a truth. Buckle up for an awesome, suspenseful ride.
You’ll want to slap one and coddle the other. Max and Anna will have you dusting off your old air karate moves, have you just about to jump off the couch(or chair) wanting to fight.
The chemistry and the mystery between them is hot and thick. You’ll definitely want to see happens next.
I’ve already read Fighting Back... and looking forward to seeing more from this family...

Wow, what an explosive first book for this series!
This is a great story and I'm loving these characters. Maxim is definitely an Alpha male you're going to love to hate. While Anna may seem like a small vulnerable woman, she is bada$$ and can definitely hold her own. Maxim blames Anna and her brothers for the death of someone he loved with all his heart. He plans on using Anna to get information about her brothers so he can kill them and then kill her. This is an absolutely captivating first book and I'm dying to read more about Anna and Maxim in the next book called Fighting Back. I highly recommend this series to all the dark romance lovers out there!

I loved the suspense and intrigue in this story. The opening scene was heartbreaking but very effective in setting the tone for the book. I loved that they had such a great connection. The way the author wrote the scene as her brothers came in was brilliant. I literally felt like I was there watching it happen. This story was compelling. It had a fast paced, grab your attention and hang on for the ride feel. The chemistry when he enters the picture was mesmerizing. You felt for him even as you fell in love with her and her family. I couldn't tell who I wanted to win in this race for vengeance. Great writing. Recommend

I would give this book at 5 but only 4.5 stars because it still has quite a few errors and it's been released so this copy is not an ARC I don't think.
I enjoyed the book quite a bit. I enjoyed the suspense, the story and the chemistry and tension between Maxim and Anna. There's lots going on, I'm trying to figure out who the stalker is. I always enjoy a strong female character and of course a strong dominant alpha male character too. I can wait to continue the ride with the next book which I'll start next.

A lady that can take care of herself and will fight for her family
Deceived by Lies is the first book that I have read by this author, K.J. Thomas. It looked interesting so I figured I would give it a try and see what the author can write. I was not disappointed as the story is intriguing, gripping, engaging, entertaining and will not let you put it down. Deceived by Lies is the first book in the Moretti Siblings trilogy and follows the story of Anna and Maxim. It is written in both their POV's so you can get into and understand what is happening from each of their sides, along with some of what their back stories are. Each character is well written along with a story that just does not stop. I loved the strength that Anna has and the fact that even though she really wants to find peace in her life she ends up back where she started and fighting to keep her brothers alive.
Be warned that this book does have a cliff hanger which is picked up in the second book of the series, Fighting Back. I have already grabbed a copy of Fighting Back and can't wait to crack it open on the Kindle. Then it is just a matter of waiting for the last third book to come out as you just know there will be a cliffhanger that ends Fighting Back.

I’m not a huge fan of cliffhangers unless I am expecting them, so be warned this book has a cliffhanger! This is my first time reading this author and I enjoyed their writing style. They have come up with a great story that held my attention and has me looking forward to book 2. Loving the characters and the chemistry between them. As the title suggests there are some dark themes in this story – lies, deceit usually never mean happy themes! The story is told from duel point of views, which is something I also tend to like when it’s done well, and this is done very well.

After being set up on a botched job, I escaped to find peace and quiet.
I never found it.
What I did find was someone I thought I could give my heart to, I had no idea of the monster living inside of the man.
Revenge makes the heart do horrible things.
Now I’m back in New York. I need to save the lives of my brothers.
Can I do this and not sacrifice myself in the process?

Who doesn’t love a girl who can drop kick a man in under 30seconds. My hero. Anna is my kind of girl. Loving and sweet but tough enough to hurt someone. I can understand Maxim’s obsession with her. The tension and pull between Anna and Maxim is such a turn on. Trying to find out who is the stalker and who is the mole. The author is good because you really have no idea. Can’t wait to find out what happens next.

This is my first time with K.J. Thomas, and surely not the last.
"Deceived by Lies" is apparently going to be a trilogy at least, following the saga of Maxim & Anna. There is a cliffhanger here, so be aware.
I'm most impressed by the author's command of character voices--when you're in either Anna or Maxim's pov, you feel that--they are fully realized and unique in how they express themselves. That's talent, and it shows.
There's also a definite heat factor between the hero and heroine, but as of yet not much written erotic fireworks, but that fuse is definitely lit and on smolder, and there's enough intrigue in the overarching plot to keep me wanting more.
As far as darkness level...there's a bit, but don't let it turn you off on giving this a try.
I'm definitely in for the sequel.

Loved this book the story was well written that kept you wanting to flip another page I cannot wait for the next book. The darkness is starting to get darker. This book is a must read.

Lots of triggers in this book. Do not read if any of them are an issue for you.
This story was a nice change from the usual "domestic/sex abuser" plot with an over-the- top abuser in Gavin (Rock star) and Lee, the woman who escapes him. The title aptly describes the overly obsessive perpetrator in Gavin and his relentless quest to find the woman that got away. The level of torture is very graphic and may not be for every reader. Gavin is a serial abuser who has no conscious and will kill any woman he can't control or have. Monsters come in all forms, even rock stars.
Lee's character escapes Gavin only to be constantly running and hiding knowing that he will find her. She gets a job with a "security company/mercenaries" whose clients are everything from crime bosses to billionaires whose requests can be nefarious in nature . Mason and Lee have an immediate attraction (a bit too insta-love" for me), but has plenty of sexual chemistry and hot sex to keep any reader invested. Mason and his brothers hire Lee who turns out to be a blessing in her researching/involvement in cases. Revelations unfold and people that Lee thought were her friends sell her out to Gavin who tries to kidnap her. Gavin and his parents apparently has many ties to the criminal undergrounds (Mafia, Bratva etc.,) which allows him to almost successfully kidnap her.
Thanks to Mason and Luca, Lee is saved from Gavin and his army (including Dima). What happens after that is somewhat predictable but also gratifying in that Lee finally finds the father she has never known and the family she never knew she had.
Mason and Lee's relationship comes to a screeching halt when his ex returns after 18 plus months leaving a destroyed Lee. She is once again faced with the fact that she is drawn to a man who nearly beat her to death and then gets involved with a man whose ex disappeared and conveniently shows ups again when things are getting serious between she and Mason. It's a bitter sweet ending to a story that deals with a woman who escapes physical, mental and torture from one man to only get sucked up in a relationship with a man who still seems as though he has feeling for his ex. It's one of those books that makes a woman examine what fuels her choices in men.

This is the beginning of Mason's story.
Mason meets Lee when she accidentally spills her drink on him at his club. He's completely annoyed with her and is a complete douche to her even though it is partially his fault for standing way too close to her. Lee is hiding from her crazy ex-boyfriend, Gavin who enjoys beating her and taking her against her will. (None of this is described in this book.) Since Jax, Jason's brother has been helping Lee he offers her a job with their company. She ends up working for Mason and things heat up rather quickly between these two. Unfortunately Mason is a little closer off because he isn't sure if his fiancee ran off eighteen months ago or if something nefarious happened to her. This book does end on a cliffhanger and leaves you wondering what will happen next regarding Lee and Mason. I'm looking forward to reading book four, Sweet Surrender when it comes out in August 2019.

Loved the book, the story was written well. Everleigh (Lee) was in a relationship with Gavin he was using and abusing her, she told him she was leaving he grabbed her knocked her out tide her up and rapped her for three days. They were out one day when someone helped her escaped finally, she moved in with people that were her friends, she changed her name to Lee. She ended getting a job with M.E.T. Moretti Extraction Team. and she loved it and got to know her boss and his siblings. She was good at her job working on tracking missing people some times they had the other mob bosses ask them to track someone down. Mason, Luka and Dima are all dominant alpha men and neither man would go against the other guy it would end up being a mafia war and they do not want that happening. There is a lot of emotions in this book.

I'm a wee bit confused with this 3rd volume in the "Moretti Siblings" series. We have a Moretti brother and a worthy heroine for him, but as yet there's no HEA? I suspect there will be, perhaps, in a latter volume?
Anyway, yes, it's a little dark, but not as dark as previous entries. We also have returning characters from previous volumes beyond the Moretti's, and well as a truly adorable new minor character and a little (still, anyway) dog that I ache to see in return episodes, as well as a new brother in a separate family branch that is sure to be trouble when he gets a little older, perhaps.
Also, a returning Ivanov, who is clearly a very bad person but still sexy AF and needs to be reformed by the love of an older, sorta chubby chick with a wicked sense of humor and a love of fetish erotica novels. ಠ‿↼

OMG, what a powerful and captivating book. Everleigh was the girlfriend of a famous rock star for two years until she discovered him cheating on her. He turned obsessive, abusive and demanding, beating her until could hardly move. A friend of hers and band member helps her escape. She changes her name to Lee, colors her hair and lives with her two best friends. She is still fearful that Gavin will find her, but then she meets Mason at a club in a humorous encounter. A wonderfully written storyline that keeps you captivated from beginning to end with danger, suspense, twists and turns. The characters are well developed and totally grow on you, even the secondary ones. I hate cliffhangers, but I’m so invested in this story that I can hardly wait to find out how this will all end.

Fabulous!!!
The Hunted is the third book in the Moretti Siblings series and it is Anna Moretti and Maxim Ivanov's story. Anna may be small but she packs a powerful punch, at least to the big, bad Maxim's heart. Maxim is the head of the Bratva and is intelligent, big, fierce and feared by all, that is except for Anna. Be warned that this book does end with a cliffhanger that will be continued in Entangled. But even if you don't like cliffhangers this series is well worth the wait for the next book.

The Hunted is the third book in the Moretti Siblings series and it is Anna Moretti and Maxim Ivanov's story. Anna may be small but she packs a powerful punch, at least to the big, bad Maxim's heart. Maxim is the head of the Bratva and is intelligent, big, fierce and feared by all, that is except for Anna. She ends up taking him down barely lifting a finger, well maybe batting some eyelashes and crooking a pinky. I am loving this series and this book is a wonderfully entertaining read. I normally don’t like books that have more than the main chatter POV. This one I liked because you got the villains as well.
I felt like the book was taking a bit longer to give the main characters a point other than hearts and butterflies. I understand build up but for some reason this one just rubbed me wrong.
Now on to the positives. I loved the character build up of the main characters friends. They weren’t just supporting characters. You actually get to understand why she is friends with them.
The cliffhanger almost made me throw my kindle. Will be impatiently waiting for the next book.

She runs right into his arms
Twisted Obsession is the first book in the new Moretti Siblings series and if the rest of the siblings stories are as good as this one then sign me up for them all right now. All I can say is that Everleigh/Lee and Gavin are both wonderful characters who have intense lives but together they fit perfectly and find a peace in each others arms.
Be warned that this book does end with a cliffhanger and it appears there is an overarching story-line which will weave through this series. I can't wait for Cruel Obsession to come out to see what happens next.

New to me author and I’m impressed! I thoroughly enjoyed this book . All I am hoping for is for Everly to toughen up in the next book and I pray she does not let Mason back in at all. Hopefully a new character is introduced that would love her unconditionally.
Both men cheated , but mason, I felt was worst . She was never going to replace his fiancé and for him to go public was a bigger slap on the face . At least with Gavin, she was always the one he loved and wanted to marry. Mason, I hope she dumps him and never takes him back ! He had emotions attached to his deceit and I don’t think that’s redeemable.

ABSOLUTE WONDERFUL
This book is absolutely amazing. Yes it ends with a cliffhanger. But, DANNNNGG it’s so totally worth it.
If you don’t know, you will now. Looks can and will be deceiving. And I just found a new SHEro.
Maxim and Anna, has this kind of chemistry that is sooo electrifying, you will hate to put this book away. I’m DEFINITELY looking forward to seeing the next installment of the Moretti Siblings.

Ok, really this story just gets better and better. Just when you think you got the story down the author throws something else at you and you have to read on. The story line is awesome and the quirks of the characters leave so many opportunities open that I hope more gets written about them. Worm, Luca, Dima, Antonio. All these men hold a different kind of power and I want to find out more about what makes them tick.

This book does end in a cliffhanger, but it is a very exciting read. Everleigh is on the run for her life. While she is she meets Mason. Mason and his family are Moretti's, they are or a who find people and rescue them. Mason wants Lee, as she goes by now, but he is afraid to give in. Lee's psycho ex, Gavin, has been on the hunt for her since she left him. Gavin will never give up on finding Lee. This book is suspenseful, hot, and an extremely exciting read.
