Stalker's Game

Rate this book
Why did the stalker choose Hyunsung? It began with gifts. First, candies, milk cartons, confectionaries piling outside his small apartment’s door. Then, the meals. Dinner cooked and waiting for him, perfectly timed for when he arrived late from his mundane office job. Soon he began to accept it, the feeling of being watched, like it even. But why him? Who is the stalker? Can Hyunsung really let this continue...trust him? Or is it all just a game…

Yeah a lotta alarm bells with this one lemme tell ya!

It’s basically about a office worker who’s absolutely fed up with his job and has a stalker going after him 24/7.

It’s not a pleasant manhwa to read to say the least, it’s in fact reflecting on real life. I just don’t understand why the office worker doesn’t take the stalking issue seriously to the police. It’s just so frustrating like it sends a bad message to readers!

A disturbing depiction of a young man who has become comfortable with his stalker, this tale will keep readers on edge. Well drawn and well-written, the plot is a captivating one that follows the characters as they struggle to adapt while also staying true to themselves.

If not immediately realized upon by the title alone, this story is a disturbing one. The characters are disturbed. There are no depictions of healthy relationships to be found in this story. Do not expect such a thing, and don't complain when you read the story to find it confirmed.

That said, if you enjoy ominous tales, dubious and non consensual relationships, and mental manipulations, then this is the story for you.

Enjoy.

This story was a wild ride, not for everyone that’s for sure! So check TW!! There was great tension build up at the beginning but the ending wasn’t as perfect, I feel like some of the characters could’ve been developed more. It is still worth it in a way, the plot is pretty interesting. Be ready for some big wtf moments. The characters were really wilding in this story, hmmm child anyway.

The beginning was really good and very well done but i got confused near the end, it was rushed and lacking, i got so many questions unanswered.
The other couple were very cute tho, i wish if they’d make a spin-off on them.

I would say it’s a 2.5 for me. I didn’t like the ending and it’s not a pleasant story to read. Also, the character development was a little lacking and all over the place.

Basically, the book is about an office worker being stalked by someone anonymous. At first, he didn't think much of it and even indulged as the stalker helped him in cleaning his house and prepared food for him, but as time goes by, he starts to realize how creepy it actually is.

The theme is not everyone's cup of tea, but it was mine. The beginning of the story was great, the author managed to build up the tension in a way that really excites me and made me curious for more. The outline and ending is pretty predictable, but still, it was something I enjoyed reading.

There were also some things that are lacking. The author seemed to have rushed some things (this was very noticable since the middle of the story) I like how their personality end up being, but the development was really rushed. I wish there were more panels explaining the feelings of the stalker and how he managed to pick the MC.

(SOME SPOILERS AHEAD!!)

I still have some questions about the story though.
The stalker had said that the MC is not the only one he had messed around with, but how did the MC become the only person he obsessively fell in love with?

I noticed that maybe the stalker had fallen in love with the MC since that time when he saved him from his co-worker, but why?

I don’t think I can in good faith give this book a good rating. It has a lot of SA, assault and immoral actions as per the title. But I mean it was entertaining I guess, I finished it in one sitting. I got the side characters confused because they looked exactly like the main character and had the same dynamic too and frankly personalities if I’m being honest. 2 light haired stalkers and 2 black haired men getting stalked. When I think ably it idek what the purpose of the side characters was we rarely saw them, they added noting to the plot and really the story would read the exact same without them. Either way mangas need to stop relying on SA to tell queer stories.

it isn't everyone's cup of tea but it was mine, I liked the topic,
it's about an ordinary man who works in a very ordinary office and he gets stalked.
At the beginning he didn't say anything because it suited him since the stalker was cleaning and preparing food for him, then he started leaving notes greeting him and asking him to eat even if he was tired.
but over time the intrusions were more and more frequent and that's where the trouble begins because it's a little too late... he is already damaged

Trigger warning ⚠️⚠️Stalking, Obsession, Psychological, Non Concent, Abuse

I have recently been reading dark romance and heard this Manwha Shounen Ai was along the lines and I agree full heartedly. This is not for those looking for cuddly fluff and sweet character's. There is a lot of red flags, a complicated character and relationship build. I felt the story was unique and the build up was great, but was rushed towards the closing of the book.

This book was so confusing at first. The stalking situation and how long it took for the character to take action was pretty long. But also when the stalker just showed himself, quit his job, and stayed at the house confused me also since the main character could have called the cops but didn’t. But the plot was interesting and made me not able to put my phone down before finishing it.

2.5 stars. I kinda liked it, but the plot didn't flow well, there seemed to be important scenes and steps missing. Only recommend to people liking stories about abusive and toxic 'relationships' that start with no consent at all and end with highly toxic codependency.

Yo... no sé que decir. Me ha gustado, en realidad, pero se siente como una romántica y gay versión de las violaciones y las relaciones tóxicas. Así que honestamente no me parece un buen mensaje, pero si una buena historia. Espero que tenga sentido.

This is so messed up, it's actually pretty good. Love the unconventional ending in which the mc decided to stay not out of love, but out of pity.
