I'm sure the book is much better than this audio summary since so much time is spent in reading chapter titles and then summarizing the whole thing again at the end. It would've been better to give more of each person's story. Maybe even a reformat where each person's story is recounted in full instead of having to repeat their name to bounce between all three would be better.
The brutality in Florida and the desperation of those fleeing to Chicago was new to me and I'm surprised it wasn't in Stamped.
I looked for the audio version of the Warmth of Other Suns but it's not available yet. I tried listening to the full version on CDs but struggled with that median even though the lives of the individuals Ms. Wilkerson was following were very compelling. I ended up listening to this audio summary prior to book club to be able to take part in the discussion. I fully intend to circle back around and listen to the full version once it's available as an audio book.
Since this is only a summary, I won't review. Library doesn't have the full book available. Summary was only a brief look at book, as it is meant to be.
