Saving the souls of the damned has been my job for several years now. I’ve gotten chased by demonic creatures, fallen in love with a not-so-angelic Guardian Angel, and I’ve even danced with the devil.

Yes. You read that right. I’ve literally danced with the devil, which only stirred up more drama I didn’t need.

And to add a little more to this summary for you, (just in case you thought the chaos stopped there) . . . one of the biggest secrets of my life just found his way to my front doorstep. I’ve since questioned everything Hayden and the Guardian Council has ever told me.

I’m tired of rules. I’m tired of lies. I’m tired of secrets. And I’m tired of being scared. I start to push boundaries to unravel every, single lie that the Guardian Council has kept hidden for years… only to find the dark truth about my mother’s murder.

And, as if saving the dead and feeling betrayed isn’t enough, a new enemy has emerged from the Dark Realm – the only one of its kind. The Phantom has been hunting me since the day I was born. And it won’t stop hunting until it finds me.

It’s time I blaze the path as Soldier of Light my own way. No matter what the cost.

There is no turning back.

Ireland Gill has spent well over a decade preparing the story line for this new YA series: Negative Zero. It was originally created with intent to be a graphic comic book, but instead turned into a full length novel...and kept growing. Having experienced the sudden loss of her father as a child, Ireland's fascination with the idea of the afterlife grew, along with her imagination throughout her adulthood which further inspired memorable characters whose stories had to be told.
Having been diagnosed with MS on Friday the 13th of September, 2013, Ireland decided she would no longer sit on her series idea that had been mostly already written. Eleven months later, "Negative Zero" (self-published) is not only the first book of her series, but also her debut novel which hit Amazon as of August, 2014.
Ireland is a happily-married nightowl whose further inspiration comes from her husband, three daughters, and lots and lots of music - particularly the band, RED.

This book picks off right where “Absolute Zero” left off. Evika is in shock over meeting a twin brother she never knew she had, and she’s incredibly angry about the fact that Hayden (her Guardian Angel turned love of her life) kept this from her. Evika goes through a lot in this novel, she has a lot of internal struggle as she wrestles both with her feelings towards Hayden and her inner demons. Evika has a temper, and it really shows, but she does work through some of her issues. We were also left with quite a shocker of an ending, so I cannot wait to see how everything will finally be resolved in the last book of the Soldier of Light Chronicles. I completely recommend “Zero Rising” and the Soldier of Light Chronicles to anyone who likes clean fantasy romance!!!

This one is an emotional roller coaster. There are parts of this story that go really dark but are offset by the happiness of Evika finding her family. Watching the changes in Hayden as he fades is really interesting. Human emotions are not for the faint of heart! Though the tenor of this ending is very hopeful, it's still a bit of a cliffhanger.

This is my Favorite of the series Soldier of light Zero Rising book 3 to date.
There is more more detail and you learn more about the characters involved in the story.
Including an intro of someone special that was lost to Evika many years ago.
This changes things and makes the story even more interesting.
Evika gets to dance with the devil again, why how does this effect the story.
Hayden changes and becomes more human how does this effect Evika and Hadden and is this good or bad.
More encounters and real dreams good and bad, secrets reveled........
There is others introduced to the story which helps unravel many things that have and will happen.
To find out you will have to read the book you will not be disappointed ,i cannot wait for the next book.

Wow, the saga continues. Evika and her twin brother come together, but it is dangerous for them because of the Phantom that hunts them. During this time, Hayden makes a momentous decision to become human, putting his life in danger. Lots more angels are met. The battle between good and evil continues with Evika still being impetuous, causing her own issues with trust, within herself and between her and Hayden. The twists and turns never end. This is a fast paced book that keeps you turning the pages. I cannot wait for the next book to come out. Pick up the series, you won't be disappointed.

✒ I was given an ARC of this book in an exchange for an honest review 💭 all thoughts and opinions are mine though 😉

✒ I think it was the best one of the series so far. We saw many things. It gave us action there and there. And happy end for this book.
✒ At this point, I was hoping for a love triangle with The wicked king, I want lie.😂😂 But it's not in the plans as I understood.
✒In my opinion the most interesting character in this whole series was the new addition 🔪🔪🔪 well one of the three.
✒Also, I would like something really striking to happen. You know something to blow up our minds.
✒Cover: same as before not fun of.
About the title, I don't understand what has risen.

Imagine if you will , a stubborn, anger filled, self centered, girl who saves souls who have done horrific crimes against their fellow man. She is surrounded by angels. One angel has shed his wings for her. One demon is seeking her to join him. One Phantom is seeking to destroy her. Her unknown twin finds her after 21 years apart. Then she is supposed to save the soul of the man who murdered her mother and then took his own life to escape justice. Can she do it? Will she do it? What do you think? Read the book and find out.

I didn’t notice this was a 3rd book in a series when I accepted this ARC to read. I was surprised by the events that Evika has to go through and then she finds out she has a twin and that it is too dangerous for them to be together because of their fathers mistake. This book was such a mixture of chaos and high emotions. I was a little lost a time but that is MY fault & not the authors! The characters are well built & the world building is great!

Evika meets her twin. They get to know each other. Her and Hayden have issues to work out. Will they forgive and forget or is this the end. Evika gets to face one of her nemesis. Who is the overcomer? Will Evika and her twin survive this phase of their lives? Will darkness take over and destroy? Hanging on a thread waiting to see what happens next. Heart pounding and fast action. Received ARC copy and this is my honest opinion.

Wow....just wow! Zero Rising is AMAZING! Zero Rising picks up right where Absolute Zero left off and we are introduced to a handful of new characters as the stakes are raised in a roller coaster of events and emotions. You will not want to put this book down once you start! I love this series and I can't wait to read Book Four. I just have to know what will happen next!

I was so excited to get this book. It is the third in the series and you really need to have read the previous two to know what all is going on and the characters. I really can't believe all the twists and turns that happened through the book. A twin!?!? Emotional roller coaster to say the least.

This may have been my favorite book to date in this series. I truly loved watching what happened and how it unfolded. I truly just didn't want to stop listening and take breaks to do 'real life' while listening to this book. That ending though! I can't wait to see what happens next in book 4.

5/5

This is my least favorite entry in this series. The majority of the book is about family bonding and romance. While these are important aspects, I felt like the book was unbalanced. The ending picks up with some great action and some morally questioning actions. This gets you thinking. But then it ends with a cliche event. I look forward to the next one and accept that not all books in one series can be great.

I received an audio version from the author; all opinions are my own.

Picking where Absolute Zero left off, Zero Rising is a rollercoaster of emotions for Evika. More secrets are revealed and the danger is closer than ever! Great story and the audio is well done and enjoyable to listen to.
